  1. Looks like Cedar Point is opening Hotel Breakers and Lighthouse Point from June 12 through June 28 for beach getaways. https://www.cedarpoint.com/vacation/packages/sun-and-fun-hide123?fbclid=IwAR2AguAzgxNtz-P42HgpHBu9TivrS5vVjV5KUciIh8FJx0_vSBn3bNVfmOw
  2. Kentucky Flyer - Kentucky Kingdom
  3. Green Lantern - Six Flags Great Adventure
  4. I checked the operating calendar page on the park’s website and it looks like they will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the foreseeable future. Wonder why that is?
  5. The park has confirmed a June 29th Opening Day.
  6. Adventureland posted on their Facebook that they have been given clearance from the State of Iowa to open next week. They will open for season passholders June 3rd and 4th, and open to the public on June 5th at 50% capacity. The waterpark will remain closed for now.
  7. Looks like Fun Spot Kissimmee reopened today at noon. They are requiring masks to be worn while visiting due to a local ordinance.
  8. The new North Carolina Apline Coaster mentioned a few posts above has recently opened. It is currently soft opened to people who live within 45 minutes of the place and by reservation only. They hope to open it to everyone else once North Carolina has entered Phase Two of reopening. https://www.charlottestories.com/north-carolina-just-opened-their-first-ever-alpine-coaster-at-over-2100-feet-long/?fbclid=IwAR04HNlyFhO-YyynaRvUpcKs7FJt9CdjJlmhKzZVuMSkkSEck-BpDfY39-g
  9. Kalahari in Sandusky is tentatively scheduled to open on June 5th. Not sure if they got state approval or not, and if so I wonder what it means for CP. https://www.kalahariresorts.com/covid-19-update/
  10. I wonder if they had planned on running it this year until July or so, but with the uncertainty around opening dates they decided to pull the plug early. Anyway, Dragon was one of the roughest coasters I've been on so not a big loss. I'd personally like to see them add a Chance Hyper GT-X like Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom, it would be a fantastic coaster that probably wouldn't have a terribly high pricetag.
  11. Mt. Olympus has announced May 26th as their opening date. https://www.mtolympuspark.com/specials/resort-guest-exclusive/
  12. Mall of America will be reopening on June 1st, but Nickelodeon Universe will remain closed for now. https://mallofamerica.com/node/24496#
  13. (Skipping Y) Zach's Zoomer - Michigan's Adventure
  14. Cedar Fair parks have been posting updates on their websites. Opening dates are still uncertain but they have shared that all new for 2020 rides will be ready when the parks open, and most special events such as Grand Carnivale, Peanuts Celebration, parades, music festivals, etc. have been postponed until 2021. Edit: One new ride exception, Snake River Expedition at Cedar Point is postponed to 2021.
  15. Granted, but you’ll have to spend all of those hours at work. I wish for you-know-what to end immediately.
  16. Seems like this would be the best way to prevent a situation where someone drives three hours to the park only to be turned away because capacity was reached. I wonder if they might have some sort of wait list for cancellations/no shows/people who leave early.
  17. Intimidator at Carowinds in mid-March. Got to ride it during employee training before the shutdown began.
  18. This thread has not aged well... I'm hoping that the situation improves at least to the point that I can go back to work at Carowinds, but I'm probably going to put my other trip plans on hold until 2021 or later. Even if those parks do open, I'm afraid there are going to be a lot of uncertainties around traveling for the foreseeable future.
  19. Looks like construction for Snake River Expedition has been continuing during the shutdown. Photo from park’s FB page.
  20. Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Hollywood will remain closed through at least May 31st. https://bit.ly/3c6CFGl http://bit.ly/2U81M4p
  21. Holiday World has posted on their website that they are currently planning to open in early June. Holiwood Nights will be rescheduled to a later date. https://www.holidayworld.com/covid-19/
  22. LEGOLAND New York is delaying its opening until 2021. https://www.legoland.com/new-york/coronavirus-update/
  23. I'm curious to see which days will be added to the operating schedule since that is mentioned on the park website. Perhaps there will be some weekday operations in September beyond Labor Day, or maybe they might stay open an extra weekend or two into November.
  24. U.S. Disney parks are now closed indefinitely. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/travel-information/ https://disneyland.disney.go.com/travel-information/
