  1. Superman: Ultimate Flight - Six Flags Great Adventure
  2. ^^ Is your season pass a Gold or Platinum Pass? If it’s Platinum, this could just be to allow you to visit Winterfest events at other Cedar Fair parks. Either way, it would be great if Valleyfair started hosting Winterfest, though I don’t see them running any coasters since MN’s temperatures in late November and December are normally not high enough to support running coasters.
  3. I second Econo Lodge North as well, as they usually have rates under $100 per night. It's a pretty basic hotel and doesn't have the most amenities, but if you just need a place to crash for the night, Econo Lodge will work. Crowds on weekdays in June last year weren't that crowded compared to July and August, usually with less than an hour wait for most major coasters, though there were handful of days that were a lot busier than normal, typically due to school groups. I would budget for Fast Lane Plus just in case you run into a busy weekday, but hopefully you won't need it. I suggest getting to the park for the beginning of early entry and riding Steel Vengeance and Maverick right away, as they can build a 2+ hour line quickly. Would also recommend hitting Dragster and Valravn early on. Save Raptor and Gatekeeper for later in the day. Aside from those six rides or so, the rest of the park can generally be taken at your leisure. On another note, the price for Gold Passes has been raised to $129. https://www.cedarpoint.com/tickets-passes/season-passes
  4. Ozark Wildcat - Celebration City (defunct)
  5. Two weeks ago, Afterburn at Carowinds. When was the last time you visited an amusement park in the rain?
  6. ^ Usually the third or fourth weekend in March.
  7. Yesterday. When was the last time you attended a wedding?
  8. ^ At Cedar Point, they had several monster trucks on display on the stretch of midway between Valravn and Iron Dragon, and guests were also able to ride in a monster truck, which took place across the street from that midway on a plot of land that had formerly been occupied employee dorms. No extra seating/bleachers were set up that I can remember. I can see Valleyfair displaying some trucks along the main midway near The Wave and Corkscrew, while using the former Dinos land for the truck rides.
  9. Monster Jam Thunder Alley is coming to Valleyfair in August 2020. https://www.valleyfair.com/play/events/monster-jam It was popular and well-received at Cedar Point this past season so I can see it doing well at Valleyfair. If I had to guess, it'll probably be taking place on the former Dinosaurs Alive plot of land.
  10. Trailblazer at Hersheypark. I know mine trains are typically not the most exciting rides, but Trailblazer in particular did absolutely nothing for me. The ride feels like sitting in a chair, so anyone that’s watched a POV of it has basically already ridden it.
  11. At least several years, can’t remember exactly when. When was the last time you flew on a plane to visit a park?
  12. Granted, but you end up sleeping through your entire day off. I wish for a snowstorm at some point this winter.
  13. Granted, they can't block any websites because they've now removed the school's internet. I wish the traffic in Charlotte wasn't so bad.
  14. Saturday night, had Cheerios. When was the last time you visited a Herschend park?
  15. I agree as well, I don't really understand all the hate Orion has been getting. I remember when Fury was announced five years ago, a lot of enthusiasts thought it looked underwhelming, and now the ride is almost universally praised. If Orion ends up being anything like Fury, it should be an amazing experience.
  16. I was there last night as well and couldn’t believe how fast the crew was dispatching those trains. Had a great time getting some last Fury rides in for the year.
  17. Got to ride Copperhead Strike for the first time on Sunday after work. It was a much better ride than I had anticipated based on some reviews I’d read/heard. Launches were solid, layout was a lot more forceful and intense than expected, inversions had great hangtime, and it had a few nice moments of ejector air. Second best ride in the park behind Fury 325 in my opinion. Also got to ride Intimidator, Afterburn, and Fury. Intimidator was running much better that my last ride on it in 2016, Afterburn is still a great intense old-school invert, and Fury is still as incredible as ever.
  18. Looping Starship deconstruction has begun. Source: Twitter - @ValleyfairMN
  19. Fury 325 at Carowinds earlier today.
  20. Exterminator at Kennywood back in August.
  21. That was never a fair replacement. Wild Rails crushed Wild Mouse for overall ride experience any day. But Wild Mouse is a solid kiddy ride and addition to the park so no complaints but I would love to have Wild Rails still operating. I doubt the coaster would have made it this long though. I found out earlier this year that Wild Rails is actually still operating as Wildcat at Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City, Maryland. While it was in storage for many years, it is nice to see the ride alive and well in a new home. https://rcdb.com/12205.htm
  22. ^ Forbidden Frontier closed for the season on Labor Day.
  23. Looping Starship was a guilty pleasure of mine, always a walk-on, fun to watch people’s reactions, and I got to work the ride a few times, but I look forward to seeing whatever replaces it (probably a waterpark attraction).
