  1. Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America will begin a phased reopening on August 10th with select rides open. Park capacity will be limited to 250 people. https://nickelodeonuniverse.com/opening/
  2. My apologies for the inaccurate information, MiA confirmed on Facebook that they are staying open, and the executive order mentioned above looks like it only applies to indoor water parks.
  3. Michigan’s Adventure’s waterpark has been forced to close again due to a new executive order from Governor Whitmer. https://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/2020/07/michigans-adventure-to-close-its-water-park-once-again-following-state-order.html?utm_campaign=mlivedotcom_sf&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social

  7. Excited to get back to work at Cedar Point. I’m a Carowinds employee, and some of us are soon being sent up to CP for several weeks to help staff the park while Carowinds is still closed. Looking forward to being back at the park. As for my rankings of CP’s coasters: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Magnum XL-200 3) Maverick 4) Top Thrill Dragster 5) Millennium Force 6) Raptor 7) Gatekeeper 8) Gemini 9) Rougarou 10) Blue Streak 11) Valravn 12) Wicked Twister 13) Cedar Creek Mine Ride 14) Iron Dragon 15) Corkscrew
  8. Granted, it’s over, no strings attached. I wish I woke up with more energy on work days.
  9. ^ I agree 100%. I really hate that some of the enthusiasts that are back at the parks have already gone back to complaining about petty things like lockers, one train ops, etc. Frankly, with everything going on in the world right now, consider yourself extremely fortunate to be visiting a park/riding a coaster at all.
  10. About 6 months ago. When was the last time you watched a Disney movie?

  15. Operating schedule has been released. Open 11am to 8pm every day July 9 through September 7. No dates on the schedule after Labor Day yet. https://www.cedarpoint.com/explore/cedar-point-calendar-and-hours
  16. “Don’t Bring Me Down” - Electric Light Orchestra
  17. Noticed this on the Steel Vengeance page on Cedar Point’s website: Unsecured articles must be left with a non-rider or placed in a locker near the ride entrance. Riders must go through metal detectors prior to entering the ride line, and any identified small loose articles must be secured in a locker or left with a non-rider prior to entering the line. Sounds like Steel Vengeance might be going back to the no phones in line policy for now. Understandable if you ask me, using the pouches to store items may not be most sanitary option given the current circumstances.
  18. I work at my home park so I have to go whenever I get called back. I’ll definitely visit on some of my off days, but I’m postponing the rest of my planned park trips until next year as it’s going to be a watered down experience almost everywhere this year. Hopefully by this time next year parks will be back to normal (or at least close to it) and worth traveling to.
  19. Noticed on the Cedar Point website (and on other Cedar Fair websites) that Fast Lane is currently listed as “Not Available”, this includes one-day and all-season passes. Seems like we could possibly be looking at no Fast Lane for Cedar Fair parks this season. I’d been wondering if that might happen since ride capacities will likely be significantly reduced.
  20. SeaWorld San Antonio will be opening on Friday, June 19th. The park will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the summer. https://seaworld.com/san-antonio/
  21. Ohio governor Mike DeWine just announced amusement parks are allowed to open two weeks from today on June 19th.
