  1. I know this is just for fun, but owning a park would hardly be worth it just so you could pick future attractions. Even if you were strictly owner and not manager, if you want to your future investments to be successful you've got to go through the proper channels. How does it fit in the park? How does it fit the budget? How does it work in advertising? What permits are necessary? What does maintanence think? What does my planner think? Can our electrical grid handle it? What's the nearest one? It's not as easy as "Give me a B&M hyper and make it blue. Again, I know this is just a fun thread. I'm just ranting. Great discussion topic by the way. And last, I'd own my own park.
  2. Unlikely. I don't believe CF has ever bought Mauer Schoen (SP). Perhaps we will see the tallest inverted rollercoaster come to VF.
  3. Anyone know if LR's trains have arrived, yet?
  4. They're clearing land. Probably not too much to see or say. Not only that but the permitting process and slow down everything immensely.
  5. If that's Renegade.... Just.... FML. A HELIX?! Lol.
  6. That does look pretty.... Fly. Ba-ZING!
  7. I don't know why it's so hard for everyone to believe that a B&M is possible at VF. I mean Leviathon... NO. Gatekeeper....NO. Banshee....NO. Patriot... Yup! Talon... Yup! Hydra... Yup! Hydra was FOR VF. How soon we forget that but it was destined for the very spot Renegade is in today! Matt Ouimet stated that every park was evaluated and the needs of each park will be addressed one by one. He knows each parks shortfalls. I'd imagine VF's shortfalls were/are a Family area (check), water park (two attractions bordering the waterpark have been removed this off season. HINT, HINT.), and lack of a big time thrill coaster.
  8. Agree. That would be funny "Mini Ka!" ...Kinda Ka.
  9. Forgot one! I didn't, really. I was going off the other park's first B&M's and then their second ones. A fun fact (prepare to be exposed to way more CF nerdiness than I should admit): In the past ten years, B&M and CF have had a "three and one" relationship, where CF purchases a B&M three years in a row and takes a year off. 2004: Silver Bullet 2005: Hydra 2006: Patriot 2007: Nothing 2008: Behemoth 2009: Diamondback 2010: Intimidator232 2011: Nothing 2012: Leviathan 2013: Gatekeeper 2014: Banshee 2015: Nothing? Or Invert at KD and Giga at Carowinds. Again, could be pure coincidence, I could have missed an obvious coaster in one of the two "off" years or maybe this is really a thing. Who knows. I have it in good faith that there will be a 2016 CF B&M. So we shall see. I know I'm contradicting myself with this but whatever.
  10. I think it's B&M. It totes fits the pattern. CW:2008 Behemoth, 2012 Leviathon (did I spell that right? Doesn't look like it.) KI: 2009 Diamond Back, 2014 Banshee (stupid Gatekeeper messin' up my patterns. You did that on purpose, didn't you?) Carowinds: 2010 I232, 2015 Centurion (yup, I went there) Just a personal opinion, I think this thing is going to have a layout more Raging Bull than typical B&M out and backs.
  11. Looks amazing! I know somebody said it's not running at full speed. But doesn't it look like it doesn't gain much in the launch right before the top hat? Or is that just me?
  12. While I'm a CF>SF guy, I'm still going to say go CF if you can. If bombast coasters is what you're after... I305, Banshee, Beast, Millenium Force, TTD, Raptor, Magnum, Mamba, Prowler, etc. I don't know your time line, but if you stay North, you could do Dorney, KI, CP, SFGAM (totally agree about Goliath), WOF, CGA. If the Quantity of parks is what your thinking than maybe SF. Like GrAdv, GrAm, Stl, OT, FT could all be done. But in closing, regardless of what chain you go with. Make CP a stop. If you dig coasters, it must be done. One more thing, unless there are non park things you want to see... I'd skip over VF. And it's my home park. LOL
  13. Yeah, I forget about this coaster. It's amazing!
  14. The temporary fence is most likely for testing NL... That's my guess.
  15. I merged this into an existing thread. Shoot. Sorry! I did a search... Thanks!
  16. I personally wouldn't consider Powder Keg a terrain coaster... Thunderation, yes. Outlaw Run, yes. Not Powder Keg, though.
  17. Anything new with the mysterious construction going on?
  18. What's your favorite terrain coaster? Do you prefer wood or steel terrain coasters? Which park doesn't have one but you wish it did? Which park has one that doesn't really do much for you? What's the best example of a terrain coaster you can think of? Talk amongst yourselves....
  19. On the park map, there's a coaster marked for "coming 2016". Do we know anything about that?
  20. That'd be a big 10--4 there. We have a train!
  21. ^&^^: I was pretty excited to see the footers for the poles that will support the string lighting that will zig zag down the midway . I think that's going to be a great touch. Looking forward to seeing the updated Monster installed.
  22. While I agree that Lightning Run looks great, I think everyone is giving it a little too much credit earlier on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this basically a prototype? I think it's awesome that Chance is back in the full sized coaster game. Also, I'm stoked to see KK reopening, I guess I'm just a little hesitant to think that this coaster is going to be great, especially right away.
  23. I know that this isn't any coaster vs. coaster going on but Freedom Flyer definitely has a better paint scheme. Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think the transition from the camel back hump to the figure eight on the B&M just looks a little..... Funky?
  24. Don't use the park map for anything but finding things. I'm sure that the CF planning department planned for ample Steel Venom queue.
