Because he's only 15 and only posts about Thunderbird? Diamondback in the username is just a cover-up Well, sort of I LOVE Diamondback, but Thunderbird seems to be the hype for me. Which is ironic because Diamondback is the hype®. See what I did there? -
Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

Along with Dorney Park, Kings Dominion, Knotts, Worlds of Fun, and MIA, Valleyfair is due for a big coaster. Inside sources say 2016. Even with what I'm being told, is think 2017 would be a little more logical. We were scheduled to receive a B&M invert called Falcon in 2002, but that was canceled. It was also rumored to be happening in 2003, but last minute CF pulled An intamin impulse away from MIA and gave it to VF. It was rumored to be happening in 2005 also, with markers even appearing in the current home of Dino's. Permitting issues pushed the project back and ultimately, that coaster turned into Hydra at DP. Hydra was going to be the name and theme of a GCI at Dorney in 2006. But due to the B&M, it was pushed back to 2007 and ultimately became Renegade at VF. Little poetic justice, I guess. Little trivia for ya. -

I like the concept. I think it'd be neat if the winner was treated to a free fall while the loser was lowered slowly back down. May increase capacity a bit, too. -

I am assuming you are just trolling because no one can seriously be that stupid. I'm just going to cherry pick KI out of your argument because it is the only one you mentioned that is in the chain (and therefore the only one that has any merit in this conversation). KI did massive infrastructure upgrades in the areas that received Diamond Back and Banshee the year immediately before those coasters were added. WOF did the same thing with Patriot. Carowinds is doing the same thing with Fury. Canada's Wonderland did the same thing with Behemoth and Leviathan. Cedar Point did the same thing with Gate Keeper. I think you are focusing solely on us saying that the new coaster is not coming on your timeline. It IS coming but the park has things that they HAVE to address before it comes. Who's the troll? Everyone is entitled to their opinions, dude. He stated very valid points. if you disagree, fine. But to call him a troll is pretty harsh. -

Exactly. I don't think he's doing himself any favors in the long run. Any information he reveals in these "clues", is information he's (presumably) been ok'd to reveal by his source. If that's the case, he's acting like an attention hungry school child by making you all play his cryptic little games. OR he's risking the insider info he has or claims to have. I for one have a source within the park who has told me about past expansions well before they were made public. I chose to keep that info to myself and a very select inner circle. I run less of a risk of it coming back that I said something and my source not letting me in on stuff. To each their own I guess. I'm hoping for a new coaster opening in less than three years and my source tells me I won't be disappointed. -

I thought the reason why Skyrider was removed, was so that they would have room for a new coaster. I'm pretty sure there isn't a space crisis at CW. I'd be inclined to believe the maintenance theory more that the new coaster theory. With that said, I do believe CW gets a new coaster, but I'm not so sure it goes in SR's spot. -

I think I fixed that for you. Unless you went when you were four. Then definitely CP!!!! -
Some really neat elements. But over all, felt a little boring. The repetitive airtime hills seemed monotonous. It was sort of cool seeing helices at the beginning of the ride. But the horse shoe roll would be way more effective if it was more of a surprise and maybe bigger, while being earlier in the layout. Good job though, overall.

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
DanTheBooker replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is more like quality than quantity of roller coasters. Think about it like this, A park with 1 Intamin launched coaster (The good ride of this park). The only ride worth riding is the Intamin coaster. You must have not been to good Cedar Fair parks like Cedar point, good landscaping, scenery and excellent rides, now that mantis is now floorless trains, the only bad ride is Mean streak unlike Canada's Wonderland were they have a bunch of rough a painful rides. I still do love Canada's Wonderland especially their landscaping but the only roller coasters worth riding are Leviathan, Behemoth, Wonder Mountains Guardian and vortex or maybe Mighty Canadian Mine Buster depending if you like woodies. One of the things that is really good about the park is the Wonder Mountain, I think Canada's wonderland is the best looking Cedar Fair park. CW has an Intamin? Even after consulting RCDB I can't find one. No, I made that park up as an example of a park with a large quantity of painful rides. Oh. Okay. My bad. -

So I'd assume that station work will star shortly and be complete before winter. New trains will wait until spring? What else is there? Brake upgrade? -

And then I said that that they should just burn down Excalibur and replace it with a full circuit steel coaster with inversions that is taller, steeper, longer, faster and more thrilling. Irrelevant.
