  1. The tallest non-Intamin roller coaster in the USA is Titan at SFOT.
  2. At least TGIF doesn't have a height restriction! Well it kind of does. You have to be high to want to eat there. Lol
  3. Best Arrow mine train? Obviously Excalibur at VF. Obviously. I mean to crack the top 350 on the Hawker Poll. That's gotta say something, right?
  4. I believe it's been said, it isn't as easy as just new trains. The physics are completely different. I think I read that the tolerances for stand ups and Floorless roller coasters are very similar. I may be wrong.
  5. Capacity can be worked out. Especially if track length is made to represent CP's biggest tallest fastest portfolio.
  6. It took 7 years to get their latest coaster - Gatekeeper. They obviously are not in the new coaster race anymore. That's too bad... DISCLAIMER: the following is nothing more than an funny concept. I don't believe this to ever happen. Reader discretion is advised. I always thought it'd be neat for CP to install like four coasters at once and over take the coaster count for their 2020 celebration (assuming they have one). Imagine a zac spin, an el loco, a GCI, and a Mack Wild Mouse. Could all be done for under $25,000,000.
  7. I wouldn't get our hopes up for RMC treatment on Mean Streak. I'd look for CF to have RMC do a redo of a smaller ride and see how that pans out before allowing RMC on the point. Keep in mind, we may very well be looking at 2020 for the next major coaster in Sandusky. That'll be the 150th anniversary of CP, so something big will probably come. Between now and then, I can see a family coaster coming. But it's been a while since a family coaster has been installed. Depending on the future of Planet Snoopy, we may see a family coaster pop up there.
  8. Well, it did go upside down that one time... Beat me to it. Well done, sir.
  9. I'm not sure how long this will still unlocked but... Valleyfair: I'd love to see a new coaster but I think the water park expansion will come first. It's very much needed.
  10. In 1970, Wildcat, a 65M Schwarzkopf opened at Cedar Point At the end 1978 season, Cedar point closed Wildcat and it was relocated to Valleyfair. Cedar Point replaced it for the following season with a 65M Schwarzkopf named..... "Wildcat", which operated until 2011.
  11. Yeah, on busy days in the summer. Two is typical though.
  12. Cedar Fair Morgan Hyper Fun Fact: Valleyfair's Wild Thing has storage track for all three trains while Steel Force at Dorney and Mamba at WOF have room for just two.
  13. The title asks about new rides in 2015. The first post asks about new parks? I'm confused!!!! Unless I'm forgetting something, I don't think any new rides have been confirmed for 2015 yet. I believe Grand Texas is the only new park scheduled to open.
  14. Nice little TR. looks like a decent little park. I especially liked the well priced food. Assuming PA sales taxes aren't 200%, they are way better than most parks. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Has this person ever even been to Valleyfair? Clearly, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Let's recap: RMC Coaster: Obviously unlikely. However, I can see CF testing the waters with RMC on an Excalibur redo. B&M Flyer: Again unlikely. FLOORLESS: To date, CF has only ever bought one Floorless (hydra). Unlikely, but I wouldn't say impossible by any stretch of the imagination. STAND UP: No. Just....NO! GIGA: 275ft height limit. LAUNCHED: Possibly, but I think the next thing will be a multi-looper. Wing rider: if Six Flags in Chicago didn't have one, I'd say perhaps. Also if we already had an invert, we'd have a better chance. INVERT: this is where I put my money. Only CF park other than MiA not to have one. RMC- Why Not? >>>Because CF has yet to do business with them. They are booked for the foreseeable future. To be fair, it could be with CF, but my money's on a few more years of SF business. like I said though, Excalibur would be a perfect starter project. B&M Flyer- More Intense than a Wing Rider and probably more creativity overall. The current rides may be "Glass naps" but B&M has to dip their toes to rides. Compare Oblivion to Griffon, Or Air to Tatsu. >>>Perhaps possible, however it wouldn't expect it. Floorless- Why Not? >>>Like I stated, not impossible. Just not a ride type CF seems to favor. They have only installed one to date and that was added to a park that had a B&M invert already. Stand Up- Not likely as they have fallen out of public favor >>>> No. Just...NO! Giga- 275ft Height Limit, Wild Thing, and I doubt the park gets the attendance to justify that. >>>My thoughts exactly Launched- Would work with the small size of the park >>>Agreed Wing Rider- I wish no but given the "success" of Gate Keeper getting over 1 million riders, I can see Cedar Fair spreading these ride types. Also SFGAm is not in the same territory as VF. V2 and Steel Venom? Corkscrew and Demon? King Chaos and Rip Tide? Giant Drop and Power Tower? >>> Valid points Invert- We'll see if Banshee works out well, and Fun Fact: Steel Venom at Valleyfair and Thunder Hawk at Michigan's Adventure are Inverted Coasters. Clones, But still inverted. >>>I'm sorry. I meant B&M invert. Fun Fact: I realize that both coasters are inverts. Thanks for insinuating I know nothing about roller coasters, though.

Only CF park other than MiA not to have one. Yeah. I agree that most of those ideas aren't reasonable. I would be happy to see a B&M invert, but the "world's tallest invert" just doesn't sound like it would happen at a park like Valleyfair. A medium sized one would be just fine. Who said anything about the Worlds tallest? Besides, it's CF. It would only have to be 169ft tall. LOL

  19. I think it's interesting how Valley Fair is marketing their new ride as a "family coaster" whereas Cedar Point is getting the exact same ride and the word "coaster" hasn't been used to describe it at all. Agreed 100%. I think it's mostly because Valleyfair's market is a little bit more open to what May or may not be a coaster than that of Cedar Point. Lol
  20. Well my home SF park is SFGrAm. So Goliath, but I haven't ridden X-Flight yet. Also in 2014, VF is getting a Disko "Coaster" so take that for what it's worth. And, Comotown in St.Paul may be getting a new kiddy coaster next year!
  21. The back end needs some redoing for sure. I wonder if they plan on saving the next major coaster for the addition?
  22. I used the search function, I tried to find a thread like this. Do you have a guilty pleasure ride? Something that's a must do for you that other people would walk right by? A ride that maybe enthusiasts typically don't like, but you love? I guess we could go the other way too. Rides that most go nuts about but don't do anything for you personally? For me it was Excalibur at Valleyfair. Now it's a bit too rough.
  23. As always, thanks for the pictures, John. I'm excited to see this thing in action. I'll be in Vegas next year for a convention. 52 weeks to go. Can't wait to ride this thing!
  24. Footers for Pipe Scream have been poured. No work for the Eagles just yet. Monsters in rehab right now. It should be really neat to see this area come together.
