  1. That is the kind of stuff that I can't stand and makes me really question Hershey's operations (plus my own bad experiences with operations in 2007 and 2008). It's bad enough to only run 1 train on each side and on top of that to have rows closed off. But to have rows closed off with a 20 minute line is ridiculous.
  2. I didn't know b&m inverts had wider seats. If Vampire got big boy seats I'm surprised BTR at Great Adventure didn't a few years ago when it got new restraints/ or seats especially since the belts are so short to begin with. Great Bear for example has much longer belts.
  3. I went on a Satirday in 2006, lines weren't too bad 15 - 20 minutes for Comet and Great Bear but I hear it has gotten a lot more crowded since then especially on Saturday's and with admission so cheap (compared to the summer).
  4. Hydra at Dorney this past Monday
  5. I agree with comments about how kids don't know Snoopy. At least with HB, a lot of those shows are still on Cartoon Network/Boomerang. Even Bernstain Bear Country that a few CF parks had in the 90's would have been better to keep it as that rather than changing to Camp Snoopy since the Bernstain Bears also still have a somewhat new TV series that is still shown.
  6. Talon is supposedly open again You are not allowed to take pictures on any ride, new this year is that if you get caught with a camera on a coaster and they have to stop the ride, you will get kicked out of the park. They go kind of overboard with it though, I mean according to their rules you aren't allowed to take pictures even on the 2 slow moving trains (which is strange since CP allows pictures to be taken on tranquil rides like that).
  7. Just a guess but maybe CF asked for those restraints with all the complaints about people not able to ride MF, especially since the mega lifestyle, Bizarro and El Toro all have lap bars
  8. My favorites are Patriot's Plunge tube slides, red and blue are short but awesome. Red has a double down drop that has some air time and white has a huge drop. Aquablast is also a lot of fun (family raft slide), but it gets a huge line so it is best to get to it early.
  9. Screaming swing is $5. The park was packed today but it was all in the waterpark. Hydra was 7 minutes, Possessed looked to be around 15 minutes, Talon was closed. I only stopped in for 20 minutes since I was in the area and just rode Hydra. Wild Mouse looked to be at least an hour.
  10. I have had a 10 minute wait for the Wild Mouse with the line maybe 5 people past the turnstyle to get into the station. At TDK or the Wild Mouse at Hershey, that would have been maybe a 2 minute wait. The seatbelts and the 2 adults per car rule and that as few as 4 cars are running make it a horrible wait. I walk by it on most visits and see what would be a 15 - 20 minute wait at another park be at least 45 minutes to an hour at Dorney. It's a shame because operations are usually good on almost every other ride with a few exceptions. Now that the waterpark is only open from 11 - 6, that is going to make lines on the ride side worse since when the waterpark was open until 7 or 8, the ride side stayed emptier earlier but now with people leaving the waterpark earlier, the ride side will be a lot more crowded.
  11. I ate at the Alamo last year, I couldn't believe the prices. They would be cheap for a sit down restaurant out of an amusement park let alone in an amusement park! To give an idea of how cheap it was, a tuna salad sandwich with potato chips was $3.25.
  12. This has been a very bad few days for accidents
  13. Do you know if the overflow lot was being used, the far lot on the other side of the road near where you turn off the main road to enter the road to the park? I was about 5 minutes away from the park today and was going to stop in for about 30 minutes for a few rides on Talon but didn't get a chance to but I figured it was crowded.
  14. They were going to build hotel on site but the new management cancelled those plans.
  15. ^ I have always thought someone should make one of those giant indoor play structures for all ages. I remember thinking they were a lot of fun when I was younger and they are great for exercise since you are running around and crawling in tubes but it seems they are all just for kids.
  16. Sounds like operations are horrible. How can they run 1 car on a coaster that only seats 2 - 4 people?
  17. Because Kingda Ka being closed makes all the other lines longer.
  18. Sea Serpent on Tuesday at Morey's
  19. It opened for a little bit in June after the initial closing in May but it has been closed since the end of June or early July.
  20. Hopefully Hershey sometime next week. It was going to be Morey's but I was there yesterday (and it was nice to go to another park besides Dorney and Great Adventure this season!)
  21. Write a letter to the park. Comapnies usually respond to written letters with a few exceptions.
  22. I have only been on Steel Force. It is a fun ride but I wish it did more than just the hills and the 1 double? helix. I really like Nitro a lot more because it has all those curved turns and the hammerhead.
  23. Not to mention it is a lot bigger than the typical kiddie or family coaster. RCDB says it has a 56 foot drop (though it isn't steep at all).
  24. How does it get the park more money though? After spending $20 on a pass and 5 rides it is unlikely someone is going to pay $6 for another ride or pay $20 for another 5 rides and will probably just stop riding the coaster after 5 rides rather than spend more money. Maybe they should offer the $20 pass with 5 rides but offer an option for more money $25 or $30 for unlimited rides.
