  1. Riptide Run was fun and something different. The only thing I didn't really like about it was that on busy days, there were so many people in each section that you had to paddle your way to the next slide and it was difficult moving around with all those tubes so I tried to go to it on days that crowds were low or right before closing when hardly anyone was there.
  2. I thought last year it seemed to be running rougher than past years. I think last year was the first year I never rode Thunderhawk more than once per trip to the park.
  3. Old Country? It was closed by the previous management and only had bumper cars and a Music Express (besides some food and game stands) after 2007 when it closed. With Fender Benders added to Adventure Alley, they probably don't see the need to have it opened until they need the space for something.
  4. I agree that the designated smoking areas should be away from the midways and entrances to rides. It is bad at Great Adventure in certain spots where smoking areas are just a few feet away from some ride entrances or you have to walk past them and get really close like the one in the Golden Kingdom on the way to Kingda Ka.
  5. Gillians Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ. At night they still have it set up where you can grab a ring and if you get the gold ring, you get a free ride.
  6. New Jersey - Nitro Florida - Montu Virginia - Loch Ness Monster (I have only ridden Wild Izzy, Loch Ness Monster, Rebel Yell and Ghoster Coaster in the state) Connecticut - Boulder Dash Pennsylvania - Talon Ohio - Millennium Force New Hampshire - Untamed
  7. I didn't realize the ship had been there since 1990 and thought it was newer than that.
  8. It's a shame to hear attendance wasn't great but I guess they had some tough competition. From looking at trip reports posted when TPR was there last year it looked like it was a nice place to visit and it sounded like most people liked it better than SFOT.
  9. I am trying to finish Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on PS3 (I gave up on it over a year ago but want to play the next game in the series) and restarted New Super Mario Bros Wii. I originally played New Super Mario Bros. to World 4 but stopped playing it for some reason and want to finish it before trying the Wii U version. I also opened up NiGHTS Journey Into Dreams on Wii. The original NiGHTS game on Saturn was one of my favorite games for the system so I had high expectations for the new game but I'm just finding it to be ok and not nearly as fun as the original.
  10. Skyrush and Batman The Ride. I would say most B&M inverts in addition to Batman but since Batman is so forceful it is probably the best Zero G roll I have seen.
  11. It's great to hear the Auto Race is being upgraded. It was one of the non coaster highlights of my trip to the park last year. I knew it was a car ride but had no idea how fast the cars traveled and how fun it would be.
  12. Carolina Goldrusher going from 36" to 48" after Cedar Fair bought the park and nothing about the ride changed. I guess because other mine trains in the chain are 48" but it must have been annoying for kids to ride the coaster and then be told they are too short. Dorney raising Wild Mouse from 42" to 44" and adding an age requirement that you have to be 8 or older to ride even if you meet the height requirement. And for maximum height the Wild Mouse at Rye Playland has a height limit of 6 feet. No other Zamperla Wild Mouse has that restriction.
  13. Yes you can ride the coaster and ferris wheel. The physics aren't realistic at all but it was still cool to see in the game.
  14. I have the iPhone 5 and a HP Touchpad tablet. The TouchPad was probably outdated when I got it since it was discontinued less than 2 months after it was released but I didn't care since they dropped the price from $499.99 to $99.99.
  15. My 3 favorite coaster types are hypers, B&M inverts and Schwarzkopf loopers. I also like coasters with a lot of track so you get a lot of "value" for your time spent in line.
  16. San Andreas, it's also my favorite overall PS2 game. GTA V might have been my favorite but there was one flaw that made me like San Andreas more.
  17. 7 years ago on the first page I said City Jet at Gillian's Wonderland Pier for a coaster. I'm changing my choice to Laser at Dorney. It was my 3rd favorite coaster at the park and Schwarzkopf loopers are one of my favorite coaster designs.
  18. I liked the Disney die cast ride attraction vehicles. They were cheap enough (I think they were $6) to collect and I liked having the ride vehicles on display. Sadly they stopped making them around 7 years ago. This is just one of the many ride vehicles they had (not my picture).
  19. The first movie, I liked it way more than the other 2 movies
  20. I always try to watch some of the Olympics. I'm looking forward to Luge and Skeleton.
  21. I hope that path reopens. It would save a lot of time getting to Kingda Ka from Frontier Adventures and Plaza Del Carnaval.
  22. It's not specifically for airfare but I usually see some low prices posted on slickdeals.net, people occasionally post some really low fares or offers out there.
  23. The go karts at Dorney were never popular. It was rare to see more than 2 or 3 people using them at once and many times when I walked past them or saw them from Steel Force they were empty waiting for riders. They also used the track for a Haunt the past few years. I know it's not Cedar Fair but the go karts at Great Adventure seem more popular than at some other parks. They have deals running throughout the season and offer a season pass for them at I think $60 which probably helps increase rider numbers. If someone goes to the park a lot and really likes go karts it's a good deal since its $8 or $9 for a single ride.
  24. Great pictures and report. The park looks very nice and themed well.
  25. Diet Pepsi
