  1. It's kind of hidden, when you go to the events page: https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/special-events It lists the featured events by default. Next to where it says featured is a tab that says Special and Group Events where all the other events like school events and the dance events are listing.
  2. There is an event this Sunday, DanceFest. https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/special-events/special-group-event/dancefest-2014-05-04 It might add to crowds a little but probably not too bad.
  3. El Toro at Great Adventure a few hours ago
  4. The park was slightly more crowded than past weekdays so far this year since it was Student Council day but around 3:45 the school groups started to leave and lines got to 10 minutes or less after that. The advice to avoid the C train on Nitro was a good idea. The A and B trains are so much better and I was avoided the C train even if it meant having to wait an extra train. Dispatches were fast on Nitro too with no double stacking.
  5. I'm sorry for those that got injured but maybe this will be enough for them to remove the ride. Even if it reopens, I don't think I'm going to ride it again. I know rides can have issues and Stinger has had way too many since it opened at Dorney.
  6. Are they not allowing any loose articles on Great Nor'Easter? It will be annoying if I can't take my phone and keys with me on the ride. I always wear shorts with a zippered pocket so there is no chance of them falling out.
  7. Just like last Friday the park was empty, from 3:30 when I got to the park to closing at 8:00 I didn't wait in a line longer than 5 minutes. The signs in the Boardwalk at the Golden Kingdom entrance now say Kingda Ka is closed until late spring. The signs used to say until Memorial Day. Twister has Twix ads on it and The Log Flume opened for the season.
  8. I use Excel, I have 1 spreadsheet for Dorney, 1 for Great Adventure and a 1 for other parks. Dorney and Great Adventure have their own spreadsheets since I keep total ride amounts for those 2 parks because I visit them so frequently.
  9. Batman doesn't have the modified seating. Bizarro has 1 seat in row 5.
  10. There are very low crowds today. A lot of school trips and a couple hundred cars. Most rides are a station wait.
  11. Hopefully Great Adventure on Friday
  12. I must have been on the same train since I rode Nitro 4 times in a row and also was on the last train of the night.
  13. $4.00 for a 20 oz soda at Dorney.
  14. Last night they were running 2 trains on Bizarro with no stacking. I thought that worked much better than the 3 trains since when all 3 trains are running I have never seen them not stack at least one train and many times both trains are stacked.
  15. They did let passholders in early, I was able to enter the park at 5:00. A lot of schools are still here but its not too bad, Nitro has about a 10 minute wait.
  16. That's disappointing it is only 3 hours. They went from it being 5 hours, then to 4 hours and now to 3 hours. I'll still probably go though since I can't go to the park Saturday and both Saturday and Sunday have some Food Truck and Wine Festival which might bring more crowds than normal.
  17. Olympia Looping Mindbender at Six Flags Over Georgia Shockwave at Six Flags Over Texas Any Arrow Suspended coaster with the original train style. Some coasters that I have wanted to ride for years I finally had the chance to try in the last few years such as Boulder Dash, Dueling Dragons, and Montu.
  18. I have been a passholder since 2008 and since then there have been 2 season pass nights. Coasters After Dark and Fall Family Fun Night in September. Last year there wasn't a season pass night in the fall since Fright Fest started so early and they were open every Friday night from September 13th on (and all the Friday nights in September were empty so they aren't doing that again this year).
  19. Nitro at Great Adventure around 3 hours ago.
  20. I don't think anyone was expecting that to happen last Monday. It should have not been crowded Monday if it wasn't for them there. I saw pictures and it looked horrible with them blocking the entrances to rides trying to get pictures of the Magcon guys (I never even heard of Magcon until Monday night).
  21. Even with the Jason Derulo concert today, the park wasn't very crowded. Other than a 20 minute wait for Batman, everything else was 10 minutes or less with most rides being walk ons or a station wait.
  22. 1920's - Thunderbolt at Kennywood 1940's - Comet at Hersheypark 1950's - Might Mouse at Playland's Castaway Cove (built in the 1950's and was in storage for years until 1996 when it re-opened at Playland) 1960's - Blue Streak at Cedar Point 1970's - sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark 1980's - Laser at Dorney 1990's - Montu 2000's - Nitro 2010's - Cheetah Hunt
  23. I hope it opens up soon, I'm trying to go to the park either Sunday or Monday. Nitro and Kingda Ka closed will really make the other ride lines longer (I know Easter Sunday usually has low crowds but there is a concert this year)
  24. Great Adventure is trying that out this year. Unfortunately it's only open to schools. It would be cool to see Great Adventure try that even as an upcharge and have it open to everyone.
  25. It's usually 9 or 10. I want to say last year it was until 9 but I'm not 100% sure on that since I missed it last year.
