  1. $4.00 for a 20 oz soda at Dorney.
  2. Last night they were running 2 trains on Bizarro with no stacking. I thought that worked much better than the 3 trains since when all 3 trains are running I have never seen them not stack at least one train and many times both trains are stacked.
  3. They did let passholders in early, I was able to enter the park at 5:00. A lot of schools are still here but its not too bad, Nitro has about a 10 minute wait.
  4. That's disappointing it is only 3 hours. They went from it being 5 hours, then to 4 hours and now to 3 hours. I'll still probably go though since I can't go to the park Saturday and both Saturday and Sunday have some Food Truck and Wine Festival which might bring more crowds than normal.
  5. Olympia Looping Mindbender at Six Flags Over Georgia Shockwave at Six Flags Over Texas Any Arrow Suspended coaster with the original train style. Some coasters that I have wanted to ride for years I finally had the chance to try in the last few years such as Boulder Dash, Dueling Dragons, and Montu.
  6. I have been a passholder since 2008 and since then there have been 2 season pass nights. Coasters After Dark and Fall Family Fun Night in September. Last year there wasn't a season pass night in the fall since Fright Fest started so early and they were open every Friday night from September 13th on (and all the Friday nights in September were empty so they aren't doing that again this year).
  7. Nitro at Great Adventure around 3 hours ago.
  8. I don't think anyone was expecting that to happen last Monday. It should have not been crowded Monday if it wasn't for them there. I saw pictures and it looked horrible with them blocking the entrances to rides trying to get pictures of the Magcon guys (I never even heard of Magcon until Monday night).
  9. Even with the Jason Derulo concert today, the park wasn't very crowded. Other than a 20 minute wait for Batman, everything else was 10 minutes or less with most rides being walk ons or a station wait.
  10. 1920's - Thunderbolt at Kennywood 1940's - Comet at Hersheypark 1950's - Might Mouse at Playland's Castaway Cove (built in the 1950's and was in storage for years until 1996 when it re-opened at Playland) 1960's - Blue Streak at Cedar Point 1970's - sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark 1980's - Laser at Dorney 1990's - Montu 2000's - Nitro 2010's - Cheetah Hunt
  11. I hope it opens up soon, I'm trying to go to the park either Sunday or Monday. Nitro and Kingda Ka closed will really make the other ride lines longer (I know Easter Sunday usually has low crowds but there is a concert this year)
  12. Great Adventure is trying that out this year. Unfortunately it's only open to schools. It would be cool to see Great Adventure try that even as an upcharge and have it open to everyone.
  13. It's usually 9 or 10. I want to say last year it was until 9 but I'm not 100% sure on that since I missed it last year.
  14. It is supposed to be for passholders only. During the day, it is Physics Day (and some music competitions as well) and they allow those groups to stay into Coasters After Dark but it still isn't crowded and usually by around 7:00, they have their award ceremonies for the music competition in the stunt arena in Movie Town which makes the coasters even less crowded. Most of the schools leave before the event starts though.
  15. I was also there today. It was a little more crowded than normal for Sunday of opening weekend but crowds still were light. My longest wait of the day was 15 minutes for Nitro. They really added a lot more places and choices to use the season dining pass.
  16. Batman The Ride at Great Adventure around 2 hours ago.
  17. Every year I hope they fix the broken effects but if none were working that's even worse. The hologram billboards at the end of the hairpin turns haven't been working for years. Same with the Bat Signal at the end of the ride.
  18. Thanks, I'm glad I don't have to worry about the pass not working or having to re-process the pass to get the new style.
  19. Did anyone go to the park today with a pass they processed last Fall? I was wondering if it was an issue with the biometric scanners using the old style pass with the picture on it (I'm guessing no but just want to try to plan if there will be a problem on my 1st visit to the park).
  20. For Gold pass holders, the gates open at 10:20 instead of 10:30 but rides don't open until 10:30.
  21. The roughest coasters I have ridden are Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa, Hercules at Dorney Park and Python at Playland's Castaway Cover (A Pinfari Looper)
  22. SFGAM only allowed 3 adults per car for that reason. Dorney's standard mouse also has a similar weight limit and only allows 2 adults per car.
  23. It does seem strange it isn't getting more attention. Usually the media is all over any kind of ride accident. Maybe because it really isn't park season yet? (not that it should really matter).
  24. Yes Nitro had them for a short time, there is a picture here: http://coastergallery.com/1999/GA67.html
  25. Flash Pass shouldn't be needed. Crowds are usually low until mid June during the week. There are class trips but not many other guests there, you could always get a Flash Pass at the park if it is more crowded than expected.
