  1. I think they are just ok, I'm not really a fan of Chickie’s & Pete’s in general. I have never been to the one at Dorney but have been to 2 of their regular locations and didn't see why they are always so crowded.
  2. The lack of air gates probably helps too. I was surprised when I went to the park and didn't see them.
  3. Yeah it's great that there will be no maximum height limit, I'm surprised about it but it's good for everyone wanting the credit.
  4. I consider Dorney and Great Adventure my home parks so no new coasters for 2014. Hopefully for 2015 one of them will get a new coaster.
  5. Great Adventure wait times can vary a lot. If you go early in the season especially on a Sunday or a weekday before schools let out, it usually isn't crowded, same with Sundays in September (before Fright Fest starts) and Friday nights in September and October. Those Friday nights are one of my favorite times of the year to go to the park since crowds are already low and many of the people there are in line for the trails/mazes so the rides are usually 0 - 10 minute waits.
  6. It would be great if they would really consider it (although I know that's very unlikely). I'd give up Stinger and Possessed to get Laser back.
  7. It's supposed to snow again tomorrow in Philadelphia. That will be the 4th snowfall in 10 days and it's not even winter yet. Thankfully it's supposed to "warm up" to the 40's and 50's later in the week.
  8. They could replace Stinger with this: http://www.guenter-engelhardt.de/entertainment/en/sale/second-hand-looping-coaster-schwarzkopf-germany.php
  9. Almost 9 years later after I posted in this thread and more coasters ridden since then, I still prefer vertical loops but the zero g roll is a close 2nd.
  10. Yep. Every time I go to KI Invertigo is usually shut down for about 30 minutes and tests maybe 6 times. Stinger at Dorney has also had some issues with riders getting stuck (the worst so far being 90 minutes). I don't really like the coaster that much anyway so I have only ridden it a few times over the past 2 seasons and will probably only ride it 2 - 3 times a season now.
  11. I'm looking forward to finally getting my 100th credit. Also the new Snake Pit waterslides at Dorney and Zumanjaro at Great Adventure.
  12. I'm glad that the store I work at still closes on Thanksgiving. A few years ago every other store in the shopping center was closed, now it seems like almost all are open and we were one of the few that closed (same thing with Easter too). I think it's only a matter of time before stores start opening on Christmas too.
  13. I had a dream a few weeks ago I was at SFGAM (a park I have never been to) but for some reason the park was really compact with all the rides built over each other and they had a boomerang in the center of the park. I have no idea why I had a dream about the park considering it was nothing what the real park looks like (based on the pictures I have seen of the park).
  14. I was going to wait before buying a new system but I couldn't pass up a deal I saw for the Wii U. NewEgg has the Skylanders Swap Force bundle with Nintendoland for $219.99. I'm going to sell the Skylanders Set. One of the figures is worth around $50 and if I can get $40 for the rest of the Skylanders Set it will end up costing around $140 for the console (factoring in EBay and Paypal fees on the Skylanders stuff I sell). Now I just need to wait for a deal on Super Mario Land and wait for Mario Kart 8 to be released.
  15. First coaster - I'm not sure, maybe Dragon at Boardwalk and Baseball. First steel coaster- same as above? First Woodie- Sky Princess at Dutch Wonderland, Favorite - Boulderdash at Lake Compounce First 100 ft coaster- Hercules at Dorney Park, Favorite - Talon at Dorney Park First 200 ft coaster- Steel Force at Dorney Park, Favorite - Nitro at Great Adventure First looping coaster- sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark, Favorite - same First B&M- Great Bear at Hersheypark, Favorite - Nitro at Great Adventure First Intamin- Skull Mountain at Great Adventure, Favorite - Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa First GCI- Lightning Racer at Hersheypark, Favorite - Lightning Racer at Hersheypark First BM invert- Great Bear at Hersheypark, Favorite- Talon at Dorney Park First Launched coaster- Rock N Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios, Favorite - Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa First Standup- Green Lantern at Great Adventure, Favorite - Green Lantern at Great Adventure First Flyer- Superman Ultimate Flight at Great Adventure, Favorite - Superman Ultimate Flight at Great Adventure
  16. sooperdooperlooper, it's one of my favorite coasters and just a fun ride that isn't too intense to marathon.
  17. I guess that's why. It would be nice if parks that had those rules would allow people to ride without kids if there is no line, especially if its a unique ride. I really wanted to try Pteradon Flyers at IoA and the posted wait was 5 minutes but they refused us and others trying to ride without a kid.
  18. Great Adventure and Dorney have the same model as well and allow adults to ride without a kid, I'm expecting Hershey to say over 60" and you need a kid to ride since all their kiddie rides don't allow adults without kids. The picture looks like it is from Great Adventure.
  19. I like that picture of the entrance to Bizarro. It's nice that SFNE decided to open into November this year. I wish more parks in the Northeast would try that (besides the ones that run holiday events later in the month and December with no coasters running).
  20. The only time Dorney gets lines are Friday's in May, summer weekends and Saturday's in October and sometimes later in the day after the waterpark closes. Fast Lane shouldn't be needed there. I don't think I waited in a line for a coaster for more than 5 - 10 minutes in any trip to the Dorney the past 2 seasons.
  21. Hot Shots Golf is really good if you like arcade style golf games. I would avoid Little Deviants, that's the only Vita game I have that I really don't like (it came bundled with my system).
  22. Hopefully you are not going to the park until the end of May since Kingda Ka is going to be closed for the beginning of the season until Zumanjaro opens (or at least until the ride construction is finished) which is probably Memorial Day weekend.
  23. Both coasters like amazing. The recreation of Kumba especially was cool. Nice job.
  24. They used to until I think sometime in the 70s. The dark ride factory tour is fun but it would be nice to see the real thing too.
  25. A B&M family inverted coaster sounds interesting. Hopefully if it ends up turning out to be a good coaster, more of them show up especially at family parks that want something not to thrilling.
