Coaster, the game by Disney.
YoshiFan replied to EpcotLova's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, they did have 5 people rate the coaster, just not Disney Characters like in the new game. I used to play Coaster all the time years ago. What I thought was cool but unrealistic was if you held down the mouse button, you could accelerate the coaster so if you made too big of a hill, you could still get over the hill. I think it also had the Matterhorn track layouts (but just the track with no theming) -
Who found Manhattan Express rough?
YoshiFan replied to Damien666's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
$15 for 1 ride is ridiculous. I thought $6.xx for 1 coaster ride at Wildwood was bad. -
Knoebels, Dorney and SFGAdv
YoshiFan replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think that the best way to go to all 3 parks is to do Knoebels and Dorney on Saturday and Great Adventure on Sunday. The water park is closed at that point at Dorney so I don't think it will be that crowded and you should be able to have enough time to go on the rides you want at both parks. Great Adventure always seems to have some lines regardless of when it is so I would try to spend the most time there. It might be difficult to get all the coasters in at Great Adventure though. I can't think of any other major parks that are worth going to with such limited time. There are some nice parks like Dutch Wonderland and a lot of sea shore parks like the 2 in Ocean City, NJ but none are major and I don't think they are worth going to over a major park. It's a shame that Hershey closes for the regular season so early compared to the other parks. -
I started off with Information Science and Technology but switched to Accounting when I realized it wasn't what I thought it would be (I was hoping it would be application based but it was a lot more programming which I hated). I don't like accounting much either (it's too tedious) but I am sticking with that major since I am already graduating later than I should be since I changed majors once.

I don't think the games of today can even compare to the games released during the NES and Genesis and SNES time periods. I think the problem is that gaming has become too mainstream and there are just less and less different types of games out there. It seems like every game out now is either a sequel to a popular franchise or has a popular license to go along with the game. It annoys me to no end that games like Jet Set Radio Future on XBox won't even sell and people won't even take the game for free (when it was bundled with the XBox, many people bought the system, and traded the game in right before they even left the stores!) while a garbage game like Enter The Matrix can go on to sell over a million copies. Now it seems like games are graphics and popularity first and then good gameplay second. Other than some games like Katamari Damacy and DDR, there are very few games I will continue to play from this generation of gaming (PS2, XBox, Gamecube era). I also don't like the way gaming is headed with these monopolies forming and not having the choice in games. It's the end of the summer and that means new football games. No longer can I have a variety to choose from because EA bought the rights to the NFL. I also think that will hurt gaming because with no competition, what reason is there for companies to improve quality. And this trend is only going to continue as it already happened with the MLB and somewhat with the NBA. I actually find myself enjoying old sets of games on new systems like Midway Arcade Treasures, which has 24 old arcade games on 1 disc. That way I can enjoy the old games without having to have all my old systems hooked up.

Those coasters are awesome. It must have been a lot of work to get the track just right to get the coaster to go through those kind of inversions. I had problems just getting my coaster to go through the standard design (the one from the instruction booklet) without stopping.

SF Great Adventure (and other parks)
YoshiFan replied to Real's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At Great Adventure, it's buy 1 get 1 free with a can of Coke I think on Tuesday through Thursday. They also have $20 off coupons at Wendy's for Great Adventure (weekdays only) or $10 off weekends. Burger King has Dorney coupons as well I think for $9 off. I think Subway has the same coupons too. -

Defunct Thrill And Kiddie Rides
YoshiFan replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dutch Wonderland - Old Engine 99 Dorney Park - Water Scooters, some plane ride, not sure of the name but it was like the Golden Zephyr at DCA. Storybook Land (NJ) - Tin Lizzie Cars, Flying Jumbo's (they have a new similar ride now but it's different than the old one) Hershey Park - Kiddie Bumper Cars Busch Gardens Williamsburg - Not sure of the name but it was a pirate ship flat ride (not a swinging ship) -
Favorite Dark Ride
YoshiFan replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like dark rides. After going on thrill rides all day, it's nice to go on a slow moving, relaxing ride that is still interesting. I agree it's too bad that many parks got rid of them, since although some new ones are being built, it seems like there are less and less of them around. -
Steel Dragon 2000, Will it ever reopen?
YoshiFan replied to CP_fan_boy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think it will open again in its current location. I think the only way it will run again is if it gets moved to another park (out of Japan). -
Costco is one of my favorite stores. The $1.50 Soda and Hot Dog combo is an awesome deal (needless to say, I go there for lunch a lot)

Stitch's Great Escape
YoshiFan replied to Stitch's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I never went on Alien Encounter but I did not like Stitch's Great Escape. It just was that interesting to me. Sit in a chair, a restraint lowers and you sit there in the dark with the audio-animatronic Stich in the center moving around. When it ended, most people were saying stuff like, "that's it?", "what was the point?" and other phrases like that. When I go back to the Magic Kingdom, it's one attraction I will definetly be skipping. -
That's cool it will get a web browser. Now all Sony needs to do is release the system without all those useless accessories in the "value pack" and I'll get one.

GTA: San Andreas Now Rated 'Adults Only'!
YoshiFan replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
I hated that Doom arguement where people say Doom can teach you how to kill. Like using a keyboard to move and fire a gun will really help you kill someone. It really angers me that these politicians are complaining about these games (which they probably don't even care about and just want to win support of parents), when there are so many more important issues to deal with. -
GTA: San Andreas Now Rated 'Adults Only'!
YoshiFan replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
that's why I would play it! curses! I was waiting for the game to drop in price before I went out to buy it. so Best Buy is out..does Circuit City or EB Games still carry it? can it be purchased online? ~Allison "96% completed with Vice City (stupid stunt jumps)" Y2K~ From what I heard on a gaming site, EB will still sell it. They pulled it off the shelves but supposedly you have to ask for it to get it. I'm not sure if that's EB policy or only some stores are doing it though. -
I like Burger King the best and McDonald's the worst. In my area, we are more limited in fast food selection (Hardee's/Carl Jr.'s, Sonic, Jack In The Box, Fudruckers among others are non existant). I don't think KFC is that ghetto, especially since the ones near me are being remodeled to look a lot nicer and have A&W Burger's as well.

GTA: San Andreas Now Rated 'Adults Only'!
YoshiFan replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
I thought the same thing at first and wasn't even going to get San Andreas (thought GTA 3 was ok, never played Vice City). But San Andreas has become one of my favorite games this generation of games. I thought it was awesome because the open ended gameplay. Tired of the missions? Well then go play firefighter or paramedic instead or go to a low rider event or go to the par and play a game of pool. It was one of the best 45 hours I spent playing a game. I do agree that the reason it sells so well is because of the controversy but IMO there is a great game under the controversy. -
GTA: San Andreas Now Rated 'Adults Only'!
YoshiFan replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
The sex mini game was taken out of the final game and because of that people are upset that the sex mini game itself exists and are also angry that Rockstar didn't take the program code off the game disc and that it slipped by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating's Boad). The same thing happened with Tiger Woods '99 on Playstation 1 where there was a hidden South Park episode left on the disc casuing all copies of the game to be recalled. But, yeah it's the sex that people are upset about. Even BMX XXX which didn't have sex but had topless women BMX riders caused an issue so much that Sony forced Acclaim to take out all nudity in the game for the Playstation 2 version (the Gamecube and XBox versions were not censored). I think some stores like Best Buy refused to carry the XBox and Gamecube versions because of that -
GTA: San Andreas Now Rated 'Adults Only'!
YoshiFan replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
In the game, the main character (CJ) can date girls. You take the girls on dates by picking them up and driving them to a restaurant, a bar or sometimes they want to go on a drive by shooting. As you take the girl on dates, your progress meter increases and once you reach 100% you get a reward. There was originally going to be a sex mini game where you have sex with the girl. No private parts are shown in the game but it does show them having sex (CJ still has his clothes on). This was pulled from the game but still left in the code which can now be accessed with a simple cheat code and cheating device. People were upeset about the other stuff in the game but this seems to be the biggest concern. They also weren't happy that the game "promotes" gang life (the first and last parts of the game are about living in LA and being part of a gang) I think the problem is that people in general still see games as a kids form of entertainment even though it has been shown over half of gamers are over the age of 18 yet people still have a problem with games being made for adults. -

From what I understand, the code for it was still in the game, just that Rockstar decided to take it out of the game but left the code there. All you need to do for the PS2 version to access the mini game is use the Action Replay cheat device, nothing that modders or hackers did and all you need is a regular copy of the game. I think it's crazy the game was pulled. The game was rated Mature to begin with so it was only intended to be played by those 17 and older in the first place. There isn't a huge difference between 17 and 18. And the whole reasoning just seems messed up to me. Killing police officers, running over and shooting anyone you want, stealing cars, breaking into house, going into a strip club for a lap dance is all ok but the second there is this sex mini game which doesn't even show anything, it causes this whole concern. -
If they are protesting Busch Gardens, isn't going to Adventure Island going against the whole point of the protest since it's the same company? "On Tuesday, she checked out Adventure Island and said she was assured that her daughter would face no roadblocks. So, on Thursday, Jessica will use her hands to walk up the steps at Adventure Island. At times, her mother might carry her."

Which Disneyland Attraction are you?

It said I was Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, I would have copied and pasted what it said but I got an internet explorer error and all my internet windows closed.
