  1. Cedar Fair must have something against dark rides since besides those two rides, right after they bought Dorney Park, they decide to tear down Journey to the Center of the Earth (and maybe Iceberg, but I'm not sure if it was gone before Cedar Fair bought Dorney or not). Then they closed of Kingdom of the Dinosaur's at Knott's a few months ago. Yeah, it's horrible how Epcot got rid those 2 rides. Disney is trying to add thrills to Epcot but taking away what made the park so great. I'll admit Test Track is a great ride but I would have rather seen them keep World of Motion and build Test Track where Wonders of Life is (since now, Wonders of Life seems to be closed 75%+ of the time). Same with Horizons, they tore down a really unique ride for a thrill ride that a lot of people aren't even willing to ride because its so intense. And I know it's really not a dark ride, but there's also the Sea Cabs in the Living Seas, so in less than 10 years, Epcot lost 3 Omnimover rides.
  2. It seems like Dark Rides are a thing of the past. Parks seem to be closing them more than building new ones. It's a shame because they are rides that almost anyone can go on and parks now also seem to have fewer and fewer non thrill family rides as well.
  3. It might be that there is a song that samples the same meleody, but I don't think so (like the same way that the song Waka Laka I think samples Yellow Submarine), but I don't think there is a remake of Mandy in DDR.
  4. No, insurance is high enough as it is since I am in the high risk category according to insurance companies so I try not to take chances speeding. I'll go 5 - 10 mph over the speed limit but I never drive faster than that.
  5. No, American games won't work on a UK PS2. If you don't already have them, you could just get the Dancing Stage games for PS2.
  6. I will get the PSP eventually but the thing that bothers me is that "value pack" Sony is forcing us to buy. In Japan, they released the system stand alone and released the value pack as well. Spending $50 extra for some accessories that are useless to me (a case that really doesn't protect the system, a small memory stick, headphones) isn't something I want to do so I am waiting for Sony to release just the system here like they did in Japan. I guess I can't complain too much though considering in Canada, Sony bundled almost every PSP with Gretzky NHL for full price and then didn't even give them a PSP case for the game (just a cardboard sleeve). Katamari Damacy is being released for the DS, no word on a PSP version yet.
  7. Unfortunately, it looks like people aren't being completely honest when filling out the wait time info, Hydra is already listed with having a short wait time when it of course hasn't even opened yet.
  8. Hershey can be done in 1 day. Although if you plan to do more than just Hersheypark like Chocolate World, Hershey Musueum, Gardens and spending a lot of time at Zoo America (free with park admission), then a 2nd day could be needed. It still will probably be somewhat crowded in the last week of August since most schools are still on summer vacation.
  9. DORNEY PARK Thunder Hawk - B+ HERSHEY PARK Comet - A Sooperdooperlooper - A-
  10. The three-loop roller coaster part sounded interesting until I saw they were talking about a Boomerang. I thought at first they meant it was something like a Schwarzkopf 3 loop coaster (or something similar)
  11. Hercules at Dorney Park. I know a lot of people said it was rough but I still liked the ride (last time I rode it was in 2000 so maybe it was more rough in 2001 - 2003?)
  12. In Suburban Philadelphia, I filled up with 87 for $2.09 yesterday.
  13. Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City, NJ. It has 3 coasters, a Flitzer, a Pinfari ZL42 (1 Loop), and a Wild Mouse which appears to be the same type of coaster in Adventure City. They also have the standard amusement rides including a Log Flume.
  14. I love that game, I haven't played it in a long time. Time to dust off the Dreamcast I hadn't played Dreamcast for months before taking it out yesterday and I had forgotten how much fun the system was.
  15. Comet at Hershey Park. It has lots of air time and a good layout, but it gets ignored with Wildcat and Lightning Racers in the park
  16. Powerstone on Dreamcast
  17. PS2 Best Feat: Song: Whistle Song Game: DDRMAX2 (Japanese version) Score: AAA Mode: Standard Where: House Arcade Best Feat: Song: My Sweet Darlin Game: DDR Extreme Score: AA Mode: Heavy Where: Jilly's Arcade, Ocean City, NJ
  18. DDR music and other Bemani music. I also started listening to a lot of the Dancemania albums from Japan where most of the licensed DDR songs come from (not counting the US licensed songs)

They really could use some new coasters. The Wild Maus was the only smaller coaster they had and they really have no family or mild thrill coasters.
  20. They are making that Pokemon Park, doesn't look too great though. I'd like to see a regular Nintendo theme park as well. A lot of cool ideas could be used for rides like the ones mentioned.
  21. Nice video. The guns look like it makes the ride a lot more fun since I know in the ride at WDW, there have been a lot of times I have not been able to hit the target I want because of the gun being attached to the car. From the video, it also seemed like it was a lot shorter of a ride than the WDW version.
  22. I have never been stuck on a coaster but I almost got stuck on Primevial Whirl at Animal Kingdom, because I was in line myself they asked if there were any groups of 1 or 2 to go with another group of 2 so I got to skip the very last part of the line. I had just gotten out of my car and walked through the exit when I saw all the cars stop moving. Cars were stuck on the lift hill and on the block brakes throughout the ride. I then saw them evacuating people from the ride and people walking down the lift hill while the other people in the middle of the ride were sitting there waiting to be evacuated. Had I not gotten on the ride when I did thanks to them asking for single riders, I would have been stuck on the ride.
  23. I was thinking the same thing, hoping that it was photoshopped on because if that is the way the sign really is, then I think KBF really has to rethink what they put on a sign.
  24. I always saw the park as being a zoo with a few rides and shows thrown in and way to small of a park (even when it's not crowded, it still seems like it is). If I want to see animals I can go to the Philadelphia Zoo or Great Adventure Safari and the few rides they have aren't even that great.
