  1. Cool pictures Wow, I wonder how they handled all those people since at the end of the queue now, it says 40 minute wait when queue is full. I guess they either set up a temporary queue outside of the main one (like they sometimes do with Comet) or else the line must have stretched all through Comet Hollow.
  2. Yeah it was the first looping coaster on the east coast and I think the 2nd modern looping coaster ever (after Revolution at SFMM). What's interesting is when you go through the queue, you can see how big the queue is and back when it was the new ride, it must have gotten filled all the time. Now it seems like the line is never out of the station unless it's a 1 train operation (which I guess is understandable).
  3. I think they actually had both skyrides running at one time before the other one closed. I kind of remember thinking what other park besides Hershey had both kinds of sky rides? I think it was removed around 1992.
  4. Very cool, too bad it's local pickup only (I guess shipping would be very expensive).
  5. I like all those ideas especially the indoor waterpark idea. During the winter, there is nothing fun to do (you can only go to the mall so many times and even that gets boring since most malls got rid of their arcades). If Hershey built an indoor waterpark, I would definetly go there at least once or twice during the winter.
  6. As long as you paid with Paypal and used a credit card I don't think there is much risk. If the tickets did turn out to be fake, the worst case scenario is that you could just pick up a coupon for $6 off ahead of time just in case and then pay at the gate and when you get home, do a credit card chargeback (if the seller or Paypal won't give you your money back). I think the reason the tickets went for so cheap was that the park is only open for 2 more weekends (I don't understand why they close so early) before the Halloween events start so there isn't much time left to use the tickets.
  7. I live about 25 minutes away from the Philadelphia Toboggan Company
  8. I just got back from their show in Philadelphia. They really do put on a great show. One thing I liked was how they came out on time when they were supposed to unlike other groups that show up an hour late. No one sat down the entire show even people in the regular seating and not just the floor which was surprising. I thought they had a good mix of songs with most of them of course coming from American Idiot but some older ones as well. Definetly one of the better concerts I have been to.
  9. My day wasn't that great. I am getting over being sick so I have felt horrible since last week and still don't feel well. I got up at 8:00 went to my first class from 8:40 - 10:00. Went home and did some work and had to go back to school from 4:40 - 7:10 (I HATE my schedule this semester since you spend the whole day knowing you have to go back to school for a night class and it's like that 3 out of 5 days a week), sat through a boring 2 1/2 class on Accounting Information Systems which I almost fell asleep in (along with 1/2 of my class).
  10. Looks cool but $80 seems like a lot. I could buy a few Knex coaster kits for that much.
  11. Nice TR, I'm not sure if it's the same at DLR but at WDW, they aren't really strict with getting to a ride past your fast pass time. Even if you showed up a few minutes late it probably wouldn't have mattered. I have even went back hours after the fast pass time on a few rides and never had a problem.
  12. I don't think anyone will pay that much for it. If people want to visit a small park with a few rides, they can go to any of the many Jersey shore parks. Someone looking for a park with a lot of rides probably won't go to Clementon either and would probably end up going to Great Adventure. Maybe if they lowered admission, the park would do better. I think the regular admission is somewhere in the $25 range which seems like a lot for a park with so few rides. Or they could maybe switch to a pay per ride system like most of the shore parks have but still offer a wristband for unlimited rides as well.
  13. I have, PS2, XBox, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Color, Gameboy, Game Gear, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Saturn, Super Nintendo, Genesis, Nintendo, Game.com, Neo Geo Pocket Color. Hoping to get a PSP soon (once there is a price drop)
  14. While the playground looks nice, like others said it's not something that seems to fit with the Magic Kingdom. In a small park or a standard amusement park like Dorney, it might fit or even as a playground at a Disney resort but in arguably what is considered one of the best theme parks in the world, I think they could have come up with something better than a playground.
  15. The one thing I don't like about Six Flags is that some of their parks have little to no family rides. Take Great Adventure for example, no dark ride for families (Houdini to me could be considered a thrill attraction), no slow moving vehicle rides like antique cars, a train, monorail, boat etc. and very few flat rides. Six Flags is great if you want to ride coasters.
  16. Yeah, summer classes can really ruin summer. Even if it's only 1 or 2 classes, you can't have the "I'm free" mentality that you get with no classes. I only take summer classes during the first session so I can still have 2 months of no school.

  18. Cedar Point, I almost went this year but wasn't able to go but I am planning to go hopefully next spring.
  19. I think it was from another site but I don't remember what site it was.
  20. That's one ride that I don't think will be missed. It's bad enough that it has OSTR's but the capacity looks to be horrible as well thanks to the cars only holding 4 people when I was there last week the line looked to be at least 20 minutes when the "better" coasters had less than 5 minute waits. I don't know if it would fit but if they keep it, they should put it on Wild Wheels Pier since now that Doo Wopper moved, that pier's only coaster is Great White.
  21. Last year at the Magic Kingdom WDW during Spectro Magic, they were trying to keep the walkways in Main Street clear so for people entering the park, there was a side door to go through at the first circle (where the Christmas tree is). It takes you to the backside of Mainstreet USA and through the backside of part of Tomorrowland. It was a little strange and I was surprised they were directing people into the park that way because Disney usually likes to keep backstage stuff out of the public's view.
  22. http://www.moreyspiers.com/ticker.php?id=34 Direct Link. I have had that Wildwood song stuck in my head a few times before.
  23. Maybe they could go for a compact floorless like Dæmonen at Tivoli Gardens if space is an issue http://www.rcdb.com/id2504.htm
  24. Yeah that helix did feel forceful. I was kind of surprised because I had always thought it had a reputation of being one of the tamer inverts out there but I didn't think it was a tame ride (it wasn't too intense for me but I expected it to be a lot less forceful). I guess I'll have to compare it to Talon at Dorney which I'll hopefully be getting to next month.
  25. Yeah the Roller Soaker seems to have a horrible line. I thought it didn't look that bad yesterday because the line wasn't out of the station but there were some mini switchbacks in the station all filled and it looked like the wait would be at least 30 - 40 minutes due to there only being 1 - 2 cars on the track at once and of course the cars only holding 4 people. I'm hoping to try to go on it maybe next year if I can get to Springtime at the park where I had heard they run it without water (and thus hopefully a short line).
