^ Thanks! Here's a bunch of picture of my latest coaster, which is a Gerstlauer launch coaster inspired by Lynet. Note that everything is made out of supports, no 3Ds involved. And it's also my first NL2 handbuild track. Hope you like it so far! -
Nigloland! New Coaster for 2014

I'm back from the park, here's some pics of mine from that awesome media day (thanks to the team which was amazing). Who doesn't like a press kit?? Before leading to the real one, let's take a look at the model that helped the design. Here it is! Get ready to go. See more quality pictures from din4112 in this album. So, how was the ride? Great, indeed! The trains are awesome and the layout excellent. The lift hill is über steep and pretty fast. I never rode a megalite from Intamin, but I've been on EGF and Goliath, so I do know what's an "Intamin ejector", thus I can compare here. The first drop is pretty cool. Not outstanding, but interesting enough to get things started properly. The high-banked turn throw some kick-ass g-forces, tho! Then, the weird element under the lift hill (definitely the official name) gives you a nice sensation of plunging on the side. It's does not have a big airtime, but it's not worthless for all that. The camel back offers a great ejector airtime, but, once again, not an "Intamin ejector" which lasts from the start to the end of the parabola. Here, in the front, you have an ejector air at the entrance, then something like floating time during the rest of the element. The opposite occurs in the back. So the first part seems actually less intense than Intamin. But the match is not over! And yes, here the Mack DO goes crazy! The S-turns throw some big ejector airtime, and extremly funky laterals: it's awesome! It looks actually wilder than Intamin! The three bunny hops offer another bunch of ejector air that I think is on par with the megalite. Awesome! Enough talking, it's video-time. Some times ago I said I was going to do a never-seen before POV... Weeell, let's take a look at a more classic one beforehand, shall we? Hehe. I actually had some troubles with it, but I still can come up with it sooner or later. Anyways, at the moment, enjoy this front row, back row, and reverse POV! -

I thought about a new ride concept for the Stratosphere tower. It would basically be a one pod version of the Sky Swat by S&S. While the ride system being quite the same, the routine isn't. The thing wouldn't go round and round like the bigger version. Instead, that would be a less previsible and more dynamic program. Check the animation I made here. I (poorly) animated three basics moves: - The drop'n'hang - While you don't expect it, the seat literally drops under you and takes you upside-down while experiencing an unique zero-g moment. - The cliff hanger - The ride start rotating forward then makes a sudden stop at the top, with you at 90° face first with the void for the airtime of your life. - The plummet - As above, the ride start rotating forward, but this time, it doesn't stop. It makes a full 360°, giving you the sensation to plunge straight to the ground. What do you think? Would you dare to ride it? -

I love that last coaster. I had a quite similar idea, using interactive launches so yup, thumbs up Japan for building it. I could easily see two of them interactive racing coasters, using that scream technology. Instead of launches, a powered coaster might be more suitable, though. Scream to win! -

The very first onride is up on Youtube! Spoiler inside, of course. I'm pleasantly surprised. The scenery is great, the whole thin has a nice pace and the switches are clever. The last drop seems to be very exciting! (But... WTF at 2:42? Hahaha I wasn't expecting THAT! ) -

Full Throttle is the most dangerous coaster ever, because... .. what? Because there's no 316 feet tall ladder obviously! -

You mean Kongfrontation? It was indeed a ride that used an amazing cable-car themed suspended simulator vehicule: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbyjH0yw8_k I'm still amazed by the technology of that ride.. Dang, a suspended simulator plateform... on a track! I think we never saw that again since that ride.

All that I can say is that I have already seen some mistakes on RCDB. Alpina Blitz was featuring a 70m height drop and they made a new entry for Indiana Jones at DLP despite that the refurbishment is only on the loop and the theming. I send emails to correct them and now it's fixed. But still, they posted some misinformations. So it can happen. -

^^ Gordon Rides came with a inverted wooden concept a few years back : Picture. But it never happened so we don't know how far the development went on that one. But I studied the possibility of an inverted wooden track based on what exists today, and it seems to be possible. The Iron Horse track is strong enough to carry a train up-side down, and there's at least one spot on T-Express where there is a track directly under another, that means enough room for your inverted train if you turn the upper track upside-down ( ).But maybe there're problems I'm not taking into account (clearance), I'm not an engineer. -

Nice find! After Goliath, I'm hoping for a crazy RMC once again. An inverted wooden? Nah, it's too 2013. I rather like a ! /shameless self-promotion -
Thanks for the TR, looks like a very nice place. There is now two of them, the second ropeway opened in 2011 and was build by Dopplemayr. May I post a few pics? (not mine) The entrance to the newest cable car. Beautiful cabins Omega IV by CWA. Here's the course. There're five turns like that during the course, which is very unusual for such installation. Say hello to the giraffes! Photos courtesy of Remontées-mécaniques.net.
