  1. ^^ Wow WTF is that? Can you please post more infos Camiel? (this is kind of off topic, but the excitement is so strong!)
  2. There's two distinct show buildings in the new picture…. Wait, yes, I just saw that the POTC ride is actually the small building in the right. (New version in full scale) That big building might be the stunt show. I hope the dark ride doesn't get relayed to second place...
  3. I'm guessing there will be a super deep tunnel, like I don't know, 60m into the ground. Or is that a gimmick? But after all we don't even know if it will be a coaster or not.
  4. ^^ This park seems to have a beautiful setting, with hills and water: Source
  5. ^ I was about to mention that! That's the new concept from Ride Entertainment. Me, but because I'm a ropeway nerd! And the installation they have is simply one of the weirdest yet coolest one ever!
  6. What's STR again? By the way, that anti-roll back is clearly not the same as those on regular El Loco.
  7. ^^ Yes, and actually that technic was already used in Spiderman and all the 3D dark-ride, . But the level of detail used for the "Box" video requires one point of view, and when I mean one, it's not a vehicule, it's one person. (I actually thought about a dark ride using advanced anamorphosis and mapping like that, but yep, vehicules would carry only one person at a time)
  8. It is real, for sure. But the con is that it's only visible from one point of view (the camera here). So it's not applicable for a ride.
  9. This park already have a safari gondola with five (!) U-turn during the course: More photos of that amazing ropeway here. I can't wait ! Sure that new project will be original!
  10. I just watched a video of , as I heard the Shanghai ride will use some sort of similar technology, and while I'm a little bit disappointed there won't be as much AA as in the original rides, I really think there's a big potential and can't wait to see the finished product.
  11. ^ Dang, they already almost finished the overbanked turn! From Mark Brunner.
  12. What happened to the first version of the land? There was a stunt show! Well, that still looks cool, but it's closer to what we have at Disneyland Paris. Hope the boat ride will be superior, though! And please Disney, give us AA's. A lot of them. If you want to do a tribute to POTC and not include a ton of AA, you're doing it wrong.
  13. Mark Brunner posted new pics on Facebook : Twistyy? Source
  14. Look, it's open! http://vhcoasters.com/2014/03/16/yomiuri-land-shows-off-new-el-loco/
  15. Actually it's not called RCT4. It's RCT4M, aka Roller coaster Tycoon 4/for Mobile. Even the name is lame...
  16. My bet on the plateform 9 ¾ wall would be a curved-mirror trick, or something similar to the exit of The Smiler (anamorphosis painting). Can't wait to see more!
  17. You'll see. Of course POVs are common these days, but there's still new ideas to test out... Edit : WOW! https://twitter.com/nigloland/status/444482577458401281
  18. ^ You won't be disappointed. Can't tell much at the moment, but I'm preparing something unprecedented. I go there on April 4.
  19. I'm so excited! And I forgot to mention, but the main difference between an Intamin and a Mack train, beside the space, is that on the Mack one your feet doesn't touch the floor at all!
  20. To me, the rolls on Blue Fire are zero-g rolls. So I won't say its a first for Mack. Here is the one on Helix: https://www.facebook.com/ProjektHelixLiseberg
  21. By the way, if the park switched from Intamin to Mack, it was because of the maintenance costs as mentioned earlier, but also because the Mack trains allow larger people.
  22. ^^ It follows the same path, but the whole physical track has been changed. The maker is not the same, that's Dynamic Attractions which provided the new rails.
