  1. ^ Yup, as you can see on Silverstar. Also, here's a video about their fabrication:
  2. The Dive's track is very different than the others : larger and the cross-ties aren't the same. But here's even a subtle difference between sit-downs and Inverted: Here, the cross-ties are straight. But here, they are gay rounded. (Images taken from CoastersWorld.fr)
  3. How does that just not totally fall apart.... its amazing! Most coasters are strong enough to support the weight of the trains and forces without anything other than the spine and rails; the supports are there normally to just hold the weight at whatever height they need. The thing is those top-hats are like arches, so the weight is distributed between the two tracks, which are sort of columns. Moreover, when a train comes, it doesn't had weight as they're negative g's at the top. Hope that's make some sense..
  4. Not convinced yet? Take a look at that video NOW: Have you ever seen a B&M train that sparkles before?! So much awesomeness!
  5. ^ Ha, the Banana Roll! That's funny because I thought of that exact figure years before Takabisha poped up. This is obvious:
  6. Yesterday was the official inauguration of Oziris, and the show was AMAZING! Pics from Ameworld Pics from NewsPark "Full" show : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StgTCanuTy0 Final in HD :
  7. Double post, sorry, but this one is not about Oziris. Here's my POV of Goudurix, also known as one of the worst coaster ever!
  8. I've re-read the last ten pages and I didn't saw that thing mentioned.. In my opinion the best detail ever. (Picture from CoastersWorld.fr) The sign says "Out of order"... TOT inside!
  9. It's not the most intense B&M, no. But maybe one of the most interesting! The g+ aren't very high beside Raptor for instance (but still good, don't worry!), but you didn't have any laterals or bad g's! Plus, you have some cool airtime, and the first-drop is amazing in the back seat. It's a new-school B&M, all in smoothness..
  10. You're right. I wasn't sure if that bizarre inversion was a zero-g or a corkscrew, but while riding it, you doesn't experience zero-g. So it's a corkscrew to me, even if it's not shaped like the regular wing-over, it's a lot more smooth. EDIT : Here's a second video, with ew offride shots and a backseat POV. The drop is even more amazing from there!
  11. Thanks Bob! It's much easier that way, and really, people don't have to miss that, that ride is truly amazing! From the area theming, the queue filled with humor, the track flying over us, the great drop, the tunnels and footchopers... It's not only a coaster on a parking, but it's not a thematised Vekoma neither.. By the way, in the video you can hear me shoting some familiar phrases.. "Loopy Loop" ; "Take the tunnel".. All the copyrights go to TPR of course!
  12. My onride POV of this amazing beast: (How do you integrate videos?) It's smooth, powerful, original.. Loved it!
  13. I was speaking for all the people who posted on this thread. They only agree with me (or not, but nobody said that here). Sorry for the confusion. So you said some guys actually said B&Ms were really rough? Oh man..
  14. Nobody said B&M's are too rough. I've just pointed out that the shaping they took for their corkscrews bothered me. I'd rather like to ride a rollercoaster with hands-up 'cause I know the whole layout will flow, than hold the harness tight the whole time, fearing a unexpected snap. I like forcefull rides as well, but laterals are not my friends. This lead me to a conclusion that everybody have a different conception about what's a good coaster. When I see french people enjoying Goudurix (ultra-dupa rough Vekoma multi-looper) because "it shacks your ass off and that's awesome!", I made a face, but meh..
  15. Anybody knows what "FAL NR OX" is referring to?
  16. Hi everybody! I'm wondering something since last summer, and I want to hear your opinion about it.. Am I the only one to prefer Vekoma's corkscrews rather than B&M's? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy riding a B&M since riding a Vekoma is usually painfull.. But there's one inversion I was dreading when I rode some B&M loopers last summer (Kraken, Hulk, Dragon Challenge) ; the corkscrews. What's bothering me is the sneak roll at the top, when Vekoma's one are rounder. In the other hand, when most of Vekoma's inversions aren't interesting since they don't provide any good floatingtime, their corkscrews are above average. I know you can't really compare those two things, as the experiences inside a Vekoma or a B&M are totally differents.. As I said elsewhere, you have to be awake anytime in a Vekoma, and anticipate all the pumps, when inside a B&M you can nearly take a nap as it's really smooth and comfy, yet forceful. So I'm crazy or..? (By the way, sorry for my English..)
  17. About the drop(s), I still think they are a little bit differents. I don't know why and I didn't wanted to start a debate about it. Just wanted to point it out. We'll see onride.
  18. Do you guys noticed that the drop here is not shaped the same way as The Swarm's one? (Sorry if it has been already said before, I didn't read the entire topic) The drop starts earlier in the roll, which means less hangtime. Better or not?
  19. I wanna say a huge thanks you Robb (and co) for these photos and videos coverages, this is so awesome! Otherwise, do you planned to go in Europe next year? The new Maurer Sohne at Bayern Park (Freischütz) looks so atomic and no POV are out nowaday.. I hope we'll be able to hear some "Weee!" and "Twistyyy!" soon. Anyway, we're still tuned!
