  1. It's been a confirmed in-house project since the park opened for the season. Seriously.... can this rumor die already? Actually no, it hasn't confirmed to be in-house. The hints that RMC themselves dropped was clear as day pointing at Hurler. And it's not just KD fanboys saying this. Even Cedar Point fanboys acknowledged that it's happening to KD's Hurler. It only makes sense with Hurler being closed this long. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28853&start=31800 https://m.facebook.com/IrvineOndreyEngineering/photos/a.475305665826794.115576.474347982589229/1200454699978550/?type=3&theater Here: . Confirms that the park is working on it.

  3. I'd put KD behind CP, Knott's, KI, ConWon, and Carowinds. KD is a good park, not great. Their lineup is not nearly as good as people say.
  4. UPDATED 5 year prediction for Michigan's Adventure: 2017: B&M Hyper Coaster 2017: B&M Giga Coaster 2018: B&M Strata Coaster 2019: B&M PolerCoaster 2020: Off-year. Possibly B&M?!?
  5. At this point, it's hard to imagine even a mid-tier Cedar Fair getting a B&M.
  6. Sounding pretty likely that it is coming to Oceans of Fun and will be replacing Diamond Head. I'm hearing either Carowinds or Cedar Point will be receiving it. Bummer.
  7. The Diamondhead slide structure is probably my favorite, besides the new one of course. If I'm being completely honest, I haven't ridden any of them since at least 2013. I rarely go to Oceans of Fun, and when I do, I'm always on the new slides, because they are incredible. Diamondhead used to be the slides that I would spend most of my time at, but now, I stick to the new ones. I do not think that Diamondhead is leaving anytime soon, though. Employees usually have no idea what's going on. In 2013, I remember one of them telling me that Patriot was leaving to make way for Steelhawk. The ones who do know something usually don't talk. I do have to say, though, that a Tornado slide at OOF would be awesome and highly marketable. Slides you can ride with friends or family are always awesome, and the fact that OOF only has one is kinda disappointing. Tornado slides are really thrilling and a ton of fun, so I'd be much happier with a tornado than Diamondhead. While I love those 3 slides, Predator's Plunge does almost the same thing but better.
  8. The gondola was lowered around 15 min. after getting stuck. I am still having a hard time believing that this will be a Haunt. The main reason being why would they go through the trouble of adding so many real windows and doors. I was told Entertainment was given these buildings. I would imagine this is more placemaking and perhaps will be our "Ghost Town Alive" area. Perhaps London Terror will be temporary like Asylum, and the building will be used for other purposes in the summer? I don't know. It doesn't look like a maze building either, but unless management was given false info, that's what it will be. I'd really love a blacklit arcade to go in there similar to the one at Great Wolf Lodge. They look fantastic! Seemed fake at first, until I read that Knott's Soak City is removing their Tornado slide next year and possibly shipping it to another park. I mean, as much as I love the slides, I'd much prefer a tornado slide, as Predator's Plunge is very similar to Diamondhead.
  9. Here's a few pics from my trip to Worlds of Fun. Photos include pics of the new London Terror area. Also, I got stuck on Steelhawk for 20 minutes about 10 minutes before the park closed. Interesting experience. Gladly, they got us down quickly and safely. Management was on standby to make sure everything was okay.
  10. There actually is construction going on near Thunderhawk. The new HAUNT building has been painting white/grey and there is construction equipment outside (not a construction guy so I couldn't tell you the exact name of the equipment). Photos? Sorry, I didn't get any. It was dark when we got there, so it wouldn't have shown up on my phone. But I will be back Tuesday, so I will get some then.

  12. I think a smaller one would work great! Give the tower a brown paint scheme, theme the heck out of it and it would be a winner! You guys are missing the point of SDC. This is not a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park. Would you ask if Disneyland was going to add a starflyer? No you wouldn't. Use the same thinking when asking "Would SDC add..." here because that's usually the same case Okay... would Disneyland build the world's only wood coaster with inversions? I guess by your logic they would. It would fall into the "one of a kind experience" that I am talking about Look if you want to be an @$$hole you're going to find an exception but for the most part SDC doesn't just install cookie cutter rides and that's what a lot of the posters have been suggesting. Besides Outlaw Run, let's look at SDC's last 3 non-kiddie rides added. Would Disneyland add an S&S Shot Tower? Would Disneyland add a SplashBattle? Would Disneyland add a Giant Swing? You've been temporarily banned before due to your antagonistic attitude towards others who that don't agree with you, so please drop the name calling. The hostility on these threads can throttle from 0-100 in seconds.

Use the same thinking when asking "Would SDC add..." here because that's usually the same case This exactly. They do things differently. The 400 ft. versions have a more industrial look that I think could work great in Grand Exposition. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think that would look great and fit in great. Let's not forgot that the primary rumor a few months ago was a giga coaster.
  14. Woodhawk 105 Soaring through the forest in 2017.
  15. Anyone else think that one of those 400 ft. star flyers at SDC would be the greatest ride of all time?
  16. I can go back through all 889 pages and never see Apollo's described as having a rattle once. You can call it anything else you want but it does not have a rattle. now Alpengeist on the other hand.. . . Is awesome? Agreed Rattles don't bother me unless the coaster is so boring that it sticks out and annoys me. Great example: Hydra
  17. To be honest, the cinnamon bread posts are just as annoying to me. We got it, great food at Dollywood. It's the same thing as #itllneveropen: a dead joke.
  18. One thing you have to realize about adding all of those coasters in one year would be cost. That would be at least a $10 million expansion, even with all of the coasters being used. Even parks in the middle tier like Kings Dominion haven't gotten an expansion like that in 5+ years.
  19. No, it's airtime is not as strong because of the reprofiling work. Timber Wolf got the same treatment this year and the airtime is dramatically tamer on it as well with PTC's running it.
  20. Wait. I thought you were the "all-knowing" Insider Man who has all these connections. He just wanted to know if you know.
  21. I feel like the park would've been so much better if they just built a GCI instead. Not to say Hydra is a bad ride. I love how unique it is and also the area around it. The problem is the lack of forces and the rattle.
  22. Some of you guys on this thread are just straight up goofy.
