I would love to see a well themed Mega-Lite at Silver Dollar City. Having it weaving in and out of the trees, and poking above the trees would me amazing. Also, using the terrain of SDC would make for a really awesome custom layout Mega-Lite. Not that I think this will ever happen. But one can dream right??

Okay, having been so Central Florida... Many... Many times, and having been to ever park there... I am going to have to go with SoCal. Now do not get me wrong, Central Florida parks are amazing. WDW Alone makes Central Florida worth it. Not to mention how amazing Universal Orlando is. With that being said... I have never been to SoCal, and so many of the coasters out there appeal to me. Yes, I know everyone has nothing but awful things to say about SoCal parks, (and coasters) most of the time. However, I want to experience these coasters for my self, and draw my own opinions. Coasters like X2, and Yolo Coaster are something I really want to try... Regardless of how much bashing they get. So... like I said SoCal gets my vote on this one.

Today's Burning Question!
DoinItForTheFame replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Such a tough question. . . I LOVE Disney. It is simply amazing. Their attention to detail is simply breath taking. However, the crowds, and the time spent waiting for... everything.. from food, to rides its just frustrating to me. Disney is a vacation destination that is a once in a few years for us. Now Cedar Point?? I LOVE Cedar Point. Cedar Point is a once a year destination for us. Yes, they have crowds, and lines as well. However the crowds (at least in my experience are never as bad as what we experience at Disney.) So my vote goes to Cedar Point. Not to mention Top Thrill Dragster is an experience that you will never find at Disney. -
Stand-Up coasters= A failed concept?
DoinItForTheFame replied to fraroc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
25 years from now: "You know those wing coasters?? They are just so forceless, boring, repetitive, and have this really bad rattle to them. They all have the same elements. There's never any airtime on the airtime hills..." --- Oh wait.. -
Stand-Up coasters= A failed concept?
DoinItForTheFame replied to fraroc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think the concept is necessarily a failed concept. I personally enjoy the feeling you get on the stand up coasters. The experience you get while standing up on the drops and the inversion to me is fun. What I do not like about them is how uncomfortable they are. If they are not hurting your manly bits, then the head banging is to much to want to deal with. If a company could create a Standup Coaster 2.0 that doesn't hurt your naughty bits, and doesn't have the head banging then I would be all for it. So... a failed concept? No. Could it be improved?? Yes. Very much so. Should B&M build any more?? Not till they can do so without it making you unable to ever reproduce, and without it making your ears bleed. -
Eejanaika Changes Colour

I'm just throwing this out there... But those colors are absolutely awful. -
Bland Parks
DoinItForTheFame replied to ScreaminNewEngland's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Magic Springs for sure. There is nothing that stands out at this park. There is NO theming for anything in the park. Its just so... Meh. Also, Dorney Kennywood A majority of Six Flags Parks... Nothing against any of these parks... They just seem so... Meh to me. I'm sure I will think of some more shortly. -

Obviously TTD. Depending on the day, the temperature, the time of day, and/or the wind the ride can be drastically changed. Examples: A cold day early in the morning the train will crawl over the tower, or rollback all together. As opposed to a nice warm day where the train will crest the tower with some decent speed. I have even had a time or two where it was such a warm day, and the ride was running so well that I got decent airtime cresting the tower. There have also been times where I have been on the ride when it was a nice warm day. However it was so windy that the trains kept rolling back. We have also noticed a difference in how Outlaw Run runs in different temperatures. When it is a cold day the coaster runs significantly slower. When it is a nice warm afternoon it flies through the track. (Then again I am sure pretty much every coaster is like this.)

Favorite Inversion
DoinItForTheFame replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My personal favorite inversions go to the double barrel rolls at the end of Outlaw Run. Simply amazing!!! -
I too miss the Intamin 1st Gen Freefalls! There was something so amazing about them that can never be recreated. The rides looked like an accident waiting to happen. But the experience was simply amazing. Rough, but amazing. The feeling on the drop is something that I have yet to experience on any other drop ride. Wish there were more of them out there.
