  1. I was thinking the same thing. However, I'm sure it is right on track.
  2. This ride could still roll back even though it is indoors. Yes it won't be facing high winds, or super cold temps. However the roller coaster will still have mornings where it has not warmed up yet, so the lubrication in the wheel assemblies will still be "cold" till the ride gets up and running. Do I for see it happening a lot? No? Can it happen? Yes.
  3. With Silver Dollar City being our home park we usually go every other weekend if not every weekend. It's nice to just get away and enjoy the park. The food is AMAZING and the rides are awesome. So sad that the season is coming to an end, but we will be back opening day 2015! Speaking of SDC, we are heading to the park tomorrow and scheduled to go next Sunday as well!
  4. Honestly? I'm super thankful for RMC, and all the amazing designs that they keep rolling out. They never stop amazing us with what they do. Also, I am super thank for everyone from the CEO's, to the ride ops, to the janitorial teams that keep the parks running, and (for the most part) clean and beautiful.
  5. Wow! I take a few days off from following this thread and the next thing I know Thunderbird track work is almost complete! Wow!!! The coaster is looking great! The construction team and Holiday World team are both doing amazing jobs! Keep up the good work guys!
  6. Just rode Great White several times this summer and did not notice any rattle.
  7. I've been on it about 30 times all together. (Always had friends who wanted to ride it, so I rode it with them) and my opinion still stands. However, a pleasant surprise? Outlaw Run. I went in thinking, oh it should be a good coaster. People have said great things about it. But I was afraid people had sat the bar so high in my mind for it that I was going to get off of the ride, and it would end up like Millennium Force. Boy was I wrong! Outlaw Run was one of the most amazing coasters I have ever been on, and it's still in my top 5!!!
  8. Quantum looks awesome. Looks like a really solid addition to the Royal Caribbean family. However. I think I would still prefer Oasis. But that's just a personal preference. Hope you guys are having a blast! Thanks for all the photos.
  9. Unpleasant surprise?? Millennium Force. I had heard such great things about this coaster from pretty much everyone that when I rode it I was HIGHLY disappointed. It was a very unpleasant surprise for me. I got off of the ride thinking... What was all the hype about?? (That's all for now, but I am sure more will come to me in time)
  10. Personally I HATE the Maurer Söhne lap bars. Granted I have only experienced them on Skyloop coasters, but they are VERY uncomfortable. It may just be my body build but the way they dig into my hips is unbearable. If they are not digging into my hips, then they are killing my stomach. I may be on the minority with this, but they are really not comfortable to me. On a side note this coaster looks awesome!
  11. This coaster is looking amazing. It amazes me to see some of the things RMC comes up with! Can't wait for this to open!
  12. Obviously as many have said, coaster have their good days and their bad days, so this list is not 100% perfect. From my personal experiences: Wildfire has a noticeably bad rattle. It's been this way all season. SheiKra - No rattle. Kumba - Slight rattle. Montu - No rattle. Incredible Hulk - Slight rattle. Dragon Challenge - Rattle. Raptor - Rattle. Mantis - Rattle. Nitro - Rattle. Batman SFOT - Rattle. Goliath SFFT - VERY slight rattle. Superman Krypton Coaster - Very noticeable rattle. (I think that is all for now. I'm sure I will come up with more in time.)
  13. This looks amazing! Amazingly terrifying. But I would gladly try it out! The sheer vertical drop would be amazing.
  14. Love the look of the new trains! And really love the vest style restraint. Should be rather comfortable. Can't wait to try this ride out next year.
  15. The Carnival industry has its own unique factor. I enjoy watching traveling fairs being set up, and being taken down. It is amazing to see how much ride can be packed into such a small place for transport. However, I do NOT enjoy riding rides at traveling fairs. Most of them are "spin-n-puke" rides, and that is not my cup of tea... Mainly because I will spin... and puke. (I do not handle spinning rides very well.) I do enjoy going to traveling fairs to people watch. The type of people you get at traveling fairs are an whole new breed of people. However, my favorite part of traveling fairs?! The food!!!
  16. Okay... I don't know what to think of this. Yes, the height looks awesome, the first turn and beyond vertical drop look fun. But it seems to get very repetitive very quick. Granted there is only so much you can do with such little space. Regardless it would still be a fun experience.
  17. We visit the park usually several times a month, and FITH always has a line. I have noticed that the ride is a HUGE hit with families. All most everyone can ride it. It is fun, but not to scary for the kids. All the kids LOVE the final drop, and the water splash. It is inside which on hot summer days is nice. So, why is it so popular??- Family Ride (for the old and the young) - Its a nice long ride in the cool AC in the hot summer time. - Kids love the drop into the water splash. - Its one of those "When I was a kid this was the big ride" they pass that on to their kids, and it becomes kind of a family tradition. I know we ride it at least once every time we are at the park. Its a great little ride.
  18. Can't wait to see it!! Have you figured out vertical loops yet??
  19. The vertical loop is such an icon that I do not see it going any where any time soon. Just because the current hype in the roller coaster industry seems to be RMC, does not mean that other companies are diminishing. B&M, Intamin, ect are still going strong, and still building coasters with vertical loops. Just since 2012 there have been 54 roller coasters OPEN around the world that have a vertical loop in the layout. Coasters like Wild Eagle, Full Throttle, Nitro, Banshee, Thunderbolt. Not to mention next year Thunderbird opens! So just looking at that goes to show that the vertical loop is not going any where any time soon. Nor do I think it ever will. Just because the "hottest" coaster company right now (RMC) is not doing vertical loops does not mean other companies have stopped making them.
  20. Airshock looks awesome! The more you are playing the game the better your coasters are starting to look! What do you think your next coaster type is going to be??
  21. That actually looks pretty interesting. I bet it would be awesome to ride!! Love the last picture!
  22. Looking good! Keep up the good work!!
  23. 1. How do you most often watch videos? (DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Download, Streaming.) Most often we stream videos. 2. What streaming services do you use the most? Netflix. 3. How many DVDs or Blu-Rays do you buy a year on average? 15-20 4. Do you use a device like Apple TV, Roku, or Chromecast? Not currently, but we are looking into getting an Apple TV in the next few months. 5. How much do you watch videos on YouTube versus all the mediums listed in the poll? The only time we really watch YouTube videos is when we are looking at theme park related stuff. We probably watch 5-10 YouTube videos a day. Hope this helps Robb. You guys are doing a great job!
  24. Outlaw Run! (If that counts as a terrain coaster)
  25. Yet again, more awesome photos! The train looked amazing! Looks like it was well worth the $17! Happy Valley Tianjin is an interesting park! I like the indoor and outdoor sections. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see the next park!!!
