  1. To actually be able to take a Go Pro on a roller coaster, or ride. You must first contact the parks PR department and explain to them why you want to record on the coaster, and what you will use the footage for, and then you must contact the parks safety department to ensure that the camera will be safely mounted and there will be no possible way for injury to happen to you or anyone else. And get the approval from both departments before being allowed to take a camera on the ride. I am with everyone else on this. Don't worry about recording on the rides. Just enjoy the ride, and look at some amazing TPR POV's when you are at home. There are so many POV's out there that we really do not need another one for the same ride. Especially if TPR has already made a POV of it! Just take the time to enjoy the ride! Don't worry about having a camera to record it! You will end up missing the beauty of the ride.
  2. Top Thrill Dragster. Mainly because it's so powerful. So fast. So tall. So amazing. I'll think of more. But for now that's the main one that stands out to me.
  3. ^ WOW! I love how much the blue and green pop with the white supports! Looks great!
  4. I would love to see the park get a nice terrain hugging flying coaster or wing coaster. I know the park could theme it very well to fit into the parks existing theme, and having it hidden mostly at or below tree level like most coaster at SDC would make it that much more amazing, and it would really put the park on the "Must Do List" for a lot of people.
  5. I don't know why I like this photo so much. But it just looks so awesome!! Can't wait to see this progress.
  6. Rode it a few years ago, and it really was not *THAT* bad. I mean it was rough, yes. But I feel like it gets so much negative attention for being "OMG, THIS IS THE MOST ROUGH COASTER EVER MADE! BURN IT TO THE GROUND!!" When really, it is not that bad. Yes, its rough, and yes you get some head banging, but it does not deserve the amount "hate" that it gets. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Will I ride it again? Yes. Do I think it is an amazing roller coaster? No. But it can still be enjoyable. However, this is just my opinion, and I am probably in the minority here.
  7. - Built by GCI. - Only has a 70ft drop. - Has 2 tunnels. Next: Outlaw Run!
  8. I LOVE these models. They look so amazing. So realistic, and so well thought out. You are doing a great job!! You should so sell these on Amazon or eBay. I know I would buy one. I would still LOVE to see a Top Thrill Dragster one!!! Keep up the good work.
  9. What amazing photos of a park I seriously never knew existed. You took some really really good photos of the park. I love the theming of the Log Flume! Looks like a great little park! Also, thanks for explaining the lack of covers on the drop tower! Great trip report!
  10. Awesome information you provided. I seriously thought it was a steampunk theme, which was still cool. But now knowing where the actual theme comes from is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to explain it! Can't wait to see the completed ride, and theming!
  11. No, no you are not. I still call it MGM Studios, and not even on purpose. That is what I knew the park as for so long that I don't even think about the new name when referring to the park. Also, in regards to the hat being removed... I'm not actually sure how I feel about this. I never knew the park pre-hat so aside from pictures I am not sure how it "feels" in the park without the hat. The hat was such an icon for the park that I kind of see it as a negative loss. Everyone knew the hat, and associated the hat with the park. When I think of the park the first thing I think of is the hat, and the second thing I think of is ToT. I know I took the time to take a picture of the hat or with the hat every time I was in the park. Regardless of how I feel, I sure hope they do something amazing as the "main icon" for the park. Just looking at photos, there is now "WOW" factor without the hat there, like there is with the castle at MK or the tree of life at AK, or Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
  12. I love all this talk about TC running backwards even thought we all know that this will not happen. I am still wanting to know if RMC trains CAN even run backwards. As for now I have an extensive 2015 theme park trip planed and TC is number 2 on the "must ride list."
  13. I may be in the minority here... but I would NEVER wait 35 minutes for Ghostrider. . . Then again... my back can only handle about 12 seconds on Ghostrider...
  14. While IRat may be faster and taller I found the bit "on the canyon wall" to be a bit slow, and boring and the layout was so short compared to NTG. But again, just my opinion. Not trying to start an opinion war here.
  15. Interesting... I felt the complete opposite about these two coasters. Having rode NTG hundreds of times by the time I got a chance to ride Iron Rattler... I found Iron Rattler to be not nearly as impressive as NTG. That's just my experience though. Sad to hear you only got to ride 3 things on your visit. Hope you still managed to have fun!
  16. Just updated my game! So happy to see the new train types! Can't wait to start playing around with them! I took a look at the preloaded coasters, and the level of detail is amazing! Off to play the NL2 now! Major thanks to the NL team for this amazing Christmas present!
  17. One (or two) of a kind... I mean Obviously TTD and KK come to mind. They are the only two strata coasters in the world.
  18. IMO... NO!!! B&M Plays it to safe. They stick to their traditional coasters. So to me they will never top the charts. I prefer my coasters cutting edge and amazing IE: RMC Coasters, and Maverick... TTD... Skyrush... ECT. So, to me no. But that's just my opinion.
  19. The new slides are looking amazing. I can NOT wait to get out to the park and try these out. Your park has made it on our water park bucket list!! Which means when we are in Vegas in 2015 Your park will be one of our stops for the day!! You are doing an amazing job Shane!!! Keep up the good work!!!
  20. Everything from this park looks amazing. I love the "New additions" to the park. I really liked how you started out with the black and white photos, and then went to color. I love all of the rides you are placing. They seem to fit great with the time period you are going for. However, I do NOT like how FLAT your park is. Maybe some terraining?
  21. Jack Rabbit: - Built in in 1920. - It is an "ACE" coaster classic. - The ride was designed so that the last seat in each train would provide the most airtime. NEXT: Maverick at Cedar Point.
  22. I was just sitting here talking about that. It really does look like the green side is more steep than the blue side! Which will be amazing!!
  23. You remove sections of steel track... and replace them with new steel track sections?
  24. I'm so SHOCKED!!! I can not believe they are taking out Gwazi!!! It's been years since I have been on Gwazi, but I remember that we always rode it when we were at the park. I do remember it being rough, but it was still some what fun. However, I was young and dumb back then! Now there is no way in the world my back could physically handle riding it again. Am I glad it is closing? Yes, hoping that eventually there will be an awesome attraction to replace it! That is a LOT of land that they will free up once Gwazi is gone. Maybe a really well themed bird themed wing coaster?! I look forward to seeing what the future holds for the park!
  25. What a wonderful Christmas gift. These trains look amazing. I can NOT wait to build a winged coaster! I am so excited for this!!!
