  1. I need a drink after reading through all these recent post. I can't get over everyone complaining about a drop on a roller coaster that may or may not be twisted. Hell for all we know it could become dueling coasters and RMC will have one with a straight drop and one with a drop that inverts over the straight drop. However, apparently half of you won't ride it because the drop twist... I seriously can't get over the complaints about a ride we know NOTHING about...
  2. ^^^ What?!?! An Intamin ride closed for maintenance?!? NO WAY!!! Really though... I hope it's nothing to serious. Hopefully it will be up and running again soon.
  3. It's good to hear there were no serious injuries. I just can't stop thinking ... "Why did she crawl under the fence?!" Then I realize she's 3. Parents should really pay closer attention to their children.
  4. I am the absolute worst when it comes to heat. I become like Madea trapped in a skinny little white boys body. When it comes to heat at theme parks I simply can not deal. I will buy VIP passes or anything I can to avoid having to wait in lines. If I'm hot and waiting in line I will be set off into a tangent by the slightest things. I try to take frequent breaks to get out of the heat and into AC. I also try to ensure I always have a bottle of water handy. Sadly when I get overheated I get to the point I can't ride roller coasters because of the pain my body is already in. So, I be sure to balance water rides, indoor rides, and roller coasters together to keep from being in the heat to long. Also, I prefer to visit parks in the fall season. It's cooler. And the lines are always much smaller!
  5. Quick question, and I apologize if this has been asked before. I have searched every where to try and find an answer to this. In NL2 how can you make your own lights? I want to create some white florescent tube lights similar to what you would see in an office building (see attached photo) that actually produce light. However, I have no idea where to even begin. Any advice you could provide would be fantastic!! Similar to these.
  6. That I can be thankful for! I was NEVER a fan of that ride! I HATE being held upside down, and I was NEVER a fan of the restraints! Not a sad loss in my book! I'm just looking forward to bigger and better things!
  7. WOW! I can NOT get over the amount of complaints people have about this ride. I was once told... "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." That applies to this situation perfectly... At the end of the day its a new coaster. Hell it is a new giga coaster. Why moan and complain because it is not to YOUR liking. If you don't like it, don't go ride it. Shorter lines for me. If you want the perfect coaster for you... Then YOU spend the $28,000,000+ for the coaster so you can get every perfect little airtime hill, trimless ejector hills, and tiny overly forcefull turns that you want. Until then quit b!tching and enjoy the new coaster.
  8. Looks like a nice solid addition to the park. I LOVE the colors!!! Regardless of what others say, I actually like the name. I look forward to riding this.
  9. Amazing photos so far! I can't wait to see more! Getting me excited to make a trip out to Dollywood this year!
  10. Mean Streak. Mean Streak. MEAN STREAK. Come on Cedar Point ... Just hand the coaster over to RMC and we will all be happy!
  11. Watch the knock-off Boomerang be better than the normal boomerangs!
  12. Interesting new location for the balloon. Hopefully they will did down, and use that bridge as a headchopper for the new coaster. I really can not wait till next week! I am going crazy with anticipation.
  13. Iron Rattler. -- I think I was spoiled by having New Texas Giant at my home park. New Texas Giant is an amazing coaster!! But Iron Rattler... To me was just beyond over rated. Sure it has a good drop, but that is about it. The inversion did nothing for me, and the entire time on top of the quarry wall was just... boring. It seemed to slowly crawl through each element. Then you get a few decent drops off of the quarry wall. But that's all... I really have no desire to ride it again. It was so hyped up by everyone that I had such high expectations for it, and then when I rode it I was HIGHLY disappointed.
  14. ^^ That is awful news. So sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with her family. Hopefully all of those who had to witness this will be able to recover and not me to mentally scarred from it.
  15. Quantum looks simply amazing!!! I love how much the front and sides of the ship resembles the Oasis class! Looks like its going to be a great addition to the fleet!
  16. Pleasant - Maverick. I knew this was going to be a good coaster... But I was so pleasantly surprised. It was so amazing, I could NOT get enough of it. Unpleasant - Iron Rattler. Maybe I was just spoiled with New Texas Giant being at my home park, but when I rode IR I was underwhelmed. The part on top of the quarry wall was slow and forceless. I rode it once. Never had the desire to ride it again.
  17. I too was disappointed by this announcement. However, it seems to be a great area to draw in more families, which means more money for the park, which is a good thing! Hopefully 2016 will bring us a really nice attraction for adults!
  18. I second that. Looks like a great coaster, but the name?? Not a fan...
  19. Such good points about Frontier City. But, I am still skeptical about it going there. If it does... Awesome!!! However, I am NOT holding my breath! I just wish we knew... I can NOT stand the anticipation any longer!!
  20. I personally prefer Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast. Its amazing! So much better than Poltergiest.
  21. Love the logo! The park is looking great! I can NOT wait to see the next update!
  22. Having LOVED roller coasters since the age of 5, and I am now 26 there have come rides that I can no longer ride. I am not talking about rides I can not ride because of a height restriction or a needing a small child to ride. I am talking about rides that your body can NOT physically handle any more. As I age... I notice my body can NOT handle a ride on a Skyloop coaster in the back row. The aggressive movements in the back row is just to much for my body to handle. So it made me curious to find out... Are there any coasters that with time your body simply can not handle? (When I say "Your body can not handle it" I mean that you are so sore then next day you can not even move.)
  23. A simply perfect response and sums up my opinions.
