  1. Just a little something something I've been working on, and I just LOVE this shot!
  2. The anti-rollbacks on Outlaw Run's lift hill are ridiculous. It is near impossible to talk to someone next to you as the train is climbing the lift hill.
  3. I do not think that B&M will NEVER be on the same level as Intamin. Which is completely okay! I see NO need for B&M to make a Hydraulic launch coaster. Let Intamin stick to the Hydraulic launch's and B&M can stick to the LSM launches.
  4. ^^ Good theory. However, the article did say coming to a "major" theme park. Would one really consider Frontier City to be a "major" theme park?
  5. Best: Outlaw Run! The two zero-g rolls into the brake run are amazing!!! Lamest: Any SLC. Rough inline twist after rough inline twist, followed by a really rough downwards right turn, followed by an upwards right turn into a hard stop. No thanks.
  6. The new family coaster looks very interesting. It is weird to see B&M track being so... compact. Love the tiny little 2 across B&M trains too! Nice to see them using the vest restraints.
  7. With both of these quotes I could really see this being a hit at Silver Dollar City, or Dollywood. The speed, the length, the price, and the "Family Friendly" all seem perfect for SDC or DW. However, Dollywood just got Fire Chaser Express, so I couldn't see them building another coaster this year. Maybe we can see it showing up at Silver Dollar City?
  8. I'm hoping for Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It would be a nice addition to the park! We could hope for Silver Dollar City, but not sure if it would be a good fit for the park. We can hope though.
  9. Thought we would stop by the park for a quick visit yesterday. Boy were we wrong. I have NEVER in my life seen this park so busy. We got to the park in the late afternoon, hoping that most of the crowds would be heading out. Ha, if only. How did our day go?? Wildfire - First ride of the day. When we got in line for Wildfire the line was out of the entrance and about even with the steps you go up when you exit the ride. We thought that they had none of the inside que open. Boy were we wrong. The entire inside que was open, (Only the first floor. This is the first time I have ever even noticed that Wildfire has a 2 story que line. Total wait time, about 50 minutes. When we got off of the ride, the line was all the way down the path to the covered section underneath Great American Plunge's lift, and drop. PowderKeg - Was going to be the second ride of the day until we approached the ride, and noticed the line went from the entrance of Powderkeg all the way down the hill, and out into the main path in front of the building where you can get family photos done. Thunderation - Hoping for a short line we headed over to Thunderation which is usually a one train wait. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes. I have never in my life seen this ride have a line. Outlaw Run - Knowing how busy the park was we were expecting a large line for Outlaw Run. We had no idea what we were in for. We got inline for Outlaw Run at 8:53pm (which the line was about 100ft out of the entrance to the ride. The posted wait time was 58 minutes. (58 seemed rather odd to us.) At 9:53pm we finally made it from the que out under the trees back into the que under the tent. At this point the posted wait time was 95+ minutes. Halfway through the line under the tent we get our first breakdown.. About 20 minutes later the ride is back up and running. Finally, at 11:03 we were next to get on the ride, and it broke down... again. After waiting for them to evac the entire train of guest on the lifthill, and do several test runs were were finally able to ride. We finally got on the ride at 11:53pm. We managed to wait 3 hours for Outlaw Run. --- On a positive note, I must say that Outlaw Run is AMAZING at night. It gets so dark at points it seriously seems like an indoor coaster. I was amazed by how dark the ride got. Riding in the front row, at the top of the drop you could not see the bottom of the drop because it disappeared into blackness. Giant Barn Swing We got off of Outlaw Run at 11:57pm, and managed to get in line for Giant Barn Swing before they closed the line. A night time ride on Giant Barn Swing is amazing, you just go sailing up in the air, and all you see above you are the stars. It was simply amazing! On a seperate note, when we got in line for Outlaw Run both sides of GBS were running. Both sides were running after the Firework show ended. At some point between the end of the Firework show, and when we got on GBS the ride broke down, and they quit operating the far swing. (The one that is farthest away from the main path.) All in all aside from it being a BEYOND busy day at the park, the 2 night rides we had were amazing. As I said before, I have NEVER seen this park this busy, but I am glad they were able to pull in such large crowds.
  10. Just something I have been curious about recently. What is the maximum amount of time you are willing to wait for a ride? For example: You are at a park, and all the rides have an 90+ Minute wait. You are have ridden everything in the park, but you are with friends who want to ride the parks newest ride, and have not had a chance to before. The posted wait time is 50 minutes. You have been in line over an hour and a half, and the ride breaks down. 20 minutes later the ride is back up and running. Finally about 30 minutes later you are next to get on the ride, and the ride breaks down again. At what point when waiting for a ride do you eventually just give up, and leave the line, knowing that you have just waited over 2 hours for a ride, and if you leave the line now you are going to be waiting at least an hour and a half for any other ride in the park? What is the longest you will wait in line for a ride in a park (including down time) before you just give up, and walk away? (Sorry if this has already been discussed, I searched and found nothing)
  11. That is one of the drones they use for filming promotional material.
  12. X-Scream at the top of the Stratosphere. Seriously though ... the height was to much. It feels like you're traveling at light speed when you go over the edge.
  13. Looks like it would be a good addition for a small park wanting a good family ride. If they could afford it, I could see a park like Magic Springs, or Frontier City getting one of these.
  14. Millennium Force -- Seriously... it bores me. . . Sure the drop is good, but for me that is the only part I enjoy. I have NEVER got any airtime on any of the airtime hills... Maybe its just me, but it was a huge let down.
  15. So very true! However when they have someone at the bottom of the bridge only sending over a train full of people at a time, it is not nearly as bad.
  16. Steel 1.) Top Thrill Dragster - It is HUGE, the twist is an awesome touch, and just having a lap bar holding you in is awesome! Great upper body freedom. 2.) Maverick - First drop is simply amazing! The airtime is fantastic. 3.) Incredible Hulk - For some reason I love the first "inversion" drop, and the location is beautiful! 4.) Powder Keg - The first drop is awesome, you drop farther than the hill you go up, and the airtime is nice. Wood 1.) Outlaw Run - Every single drop is beyond amazing. . . The sheer speed and force of the ride is breath taking! The steepness, and airtime of the first drop are perfect! 2.) --- Who needs more after Outlaw Run?
  17. Millennium Force Station can be pretty bad too. Due to the entering the station at the rear of the station. When everyone want's to sit in the back its annoying trying to get by them. Top Thrill Dragster's station is a disaster when there is not someone controlling it. You wait in the entire line just to get up to a confused mess of a station where the station wait can quickly become 40 minutes. . . Had this happen SEVERAL times. Outlaw Run, same situation as Dragster... When there is no one controlling the station it just becomes a mess. I guess most stations can be pretty when there is no one controlling them, these two are just the ones I have noticed the most annoyance on.
  18. I think Skyloop coasters have the worst brakes ever. The stop on the lift is horrid. This video does a good job of showing it.
  19. I think the park has a great new addition on their hands. I am also thrilled to see B&M finally getting into launches. Everyone is going to have different opinions on the coaster, but I think its a solid addition, and that HW did a GREAT job with the back story, and getting us all hyped up for the announcement. It's disappointing to see how NEGATIVE some people are being. In the end... It is STILL a new coaster, we should all be thankful for that.
  20. I personally think that it would be an uncomfortable experience. I am not a fan of Skyloop coasters due to the "extended" upside down time at the top of the lift... I really do not think I would like the extended upside for a launch... But that is just me. Is it possible?? Of course it is... Nothing is impossible. Would I ride it... No thanks.
  21. Given how similar all B&M control panels are, I venture to say it looks VERY similar to Gatekeepers. It probably looks a lot like this.
  22. Simply amazing! I've been waiting for someone to create a freefall drop, and I am glad to see it finally done! The coaster was awesome! Great job!
  23. What awesome pictures! I am so glad you had a good time! I may need to add this to my bucket list!
