Right now our favorite show is Person of Interest. Another long time favorite is Top Chef.

The Official TPR Video Thread!
arby replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It looks like your typical Arrow corkscrew. They are nostalgic as the corkscrew at Geagua Lake was my first one. Other than that I do wish they would fix the head banging restraints. I see the one in this video is essentially the same. -
Happy Thanksgiving TPR! I am thankful for TPR and all the knowledge I have gained from this site. I am also thankful for Disney because they set the bar in an immersive experience. I am also thankful for Universal Studios in realizing what Disney has and is trying to bring some semblance of it to us thrill seekers.

2 of 2 Next we move on to GM. She'll be happy to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the Yukon XL Look what was hiding over here... Lots of people were drooling over the new Corvette. I would personally prefer this. I like the look of one of the Jaguar sedans. although I'd prefer this one. Moving on to VW, I like the accent color on the front of this car. The new beetle sporting a more retro paint job (and sport stripe down the side) This was my choice of the show - a Porsche sedan. My wife said no to the K. Actually she said 'not with my money' which means NO since it's essentially all her money as we have all learned in one way or another... For some reason I continue to like the Range Rover despite it's boxy appearance and lack of any exterior body styling. In 8 years we might have this...the used 2014 model that is 8 years old. Nissan's 2014 370Z. what the... Now I would take one of these any day... but I'll probably end up getting something like this instead. or even more likely something like this. We had a good time at the auto show although we decided not to move forward with a new vehicle this year. (I was already told that *before* the show) I hope you enjoyed tagging along!

You know your car is almost paid off when you get free tickets in the mail from them for the Charlotte International Auto Show. Free tickets - yay! I am in no way a car enthusiast. But I do like cars. So it was fun to see a lot of the cars from the past. Here are some of my favorites. We'll start with some of the classics. There were many of theme here so I'll just include a few favorites. Christmas isn't that far away... although I wouldn't mind this either. In the middle they had the history of the Corvette but it was barricaded off making it hard to see. Here's where it began... and where it is today... I have always loved the BelAir fins. This was my top choice from the vintage car area. Moving on to the actual show... Here's the star of the show, a Ferrari 458 Italia. For the low price of 0,000 this car can be yours. I have always been particularly fond of the sleek styling of a Maserati. Once I saw the Morgans I fell in love... ... but at ,000 there is no way my wife would say yes. I could probably talk her into K. What's that I spy in the right edge of the picture? this! I could have tried to win it but didn't want to deal with the dozens of phone calls putting my name in the box would have generated. I almost had one of these 2 years ago...my vote was Genesis, my wife's vote Avalon. Yep, you guessed it... I really like what they continue to do with this car. This can't be for the engine enthusiasts because you can hardly see any part of the engine anymore. BMWs are common and popular around Charlotte since there is a plant about an hour from here. I like the look of this BMW. continued...

I started this thread as a place to put my non-park trip reports. Hope you enjoy. Index: Charlotte International Auto Show Southwest Trip

I'm pretty good about making my rounds daily to tap tiles. Thanks for everyone who has added me as a friend. It is helping me to make good progress. EDIT: I just went on a tile tapping run. If you had a tile I was able to get it three times.

What do YOU take with you to a park?
arby replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am also a minimalist when I go to a park. Like most people I take my wallet and iPhone. The only other thing I take that I didn't see mentioned is a lanyard. I loop it around a belt loop and hook it to my keys. I started doing that after I lost my keys on a coaster. It was a Vekoma, go figure. -
What are you most looking forward to in 2014?
arby replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, I'm late to this thread. I need to stop letting that j o b thing get in the way. I am looking forward to my second ever trip to WDW as well as checking out all the new stuff at US/IOA since our trip there late spring. It also looks like I'll finally make it back to Niagra Falls and should be able to pick up a lot of the credits around there. No TPR trip yet next year. -
I'm not having any problems with it on iOS 7.0.4. I'm also running it on Andriod 4.4 without issues (my tablet just got the KitKat update today).

LOL. Sorry for mentioning NASCAR in the NFL thread. I used to be a fan but I got tired of the 10 month season and 5+ hour races.

Legoland Florida Discussion Thread
arby replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The hotel looks great as well as the new mini-lliniem trains! As a huge fan of LEGOs I still can't believe we haven't been to the park yet. It is on our plans when we go to FL next year. -
I have to give my vote to Thunderhead although Lightning Racer is a close second.

Thanks for posting that, Jew. I just looked up the article from Sport Science and it was an interesting read. I agree that we don't need PI calls reviewed either or football games would start being as long as NASCAR races.

Great point! I hadn't thought of that. -

Thanks for bringing that up; I meant to mention it. I found that disappointing to hear, also, since I'll be there New Year's Eve regardless. Hopefully the vendor is wrong and the park's website is right in saying 'December 2013.' -
Spiderman is my favorite.
