  1. I really like this! I like how it looks very real. It has that edites-photograph-type feel
  2. This is meant to be a serious post, but during The Dragon at Adventureland the entire train was shaking and vibrating and it felt like the entire ride would fall apart. Plus I got a bad headache in the middle of the ride and it was extremely painful.
  3. I haven't ridden Meteor, but I have ridden Aero 360 and it is one of the most underrated flat rides out there. So much fun Probably my favourite flat ride, though, is Double Shot at Indiana Beach. It ejects you from your seat unlike any other double shot and space shot I have ridden. Huss Small Frisbees (like Revolution at SFGAm) are also very underrated because they are actually pretty intense.
  4. Dark Tranquility - "Through Smudged Lenses"
  5. Congratulations! And good luck with your relatives! I have homophobic relatives too, so I totally get it, fortunately my cousins and aunts/uncles/grandmas don't know it yet.
  6. When i told my mom, she almost crashed our car. But to be fair, thats on me for telling her in the car. Should have thought that out better To be honest, I am happy for coming out. First it's a lot less stressful on me (I still remember the day I finally got myself to mark "I'm a guy who likes guys" on the Sexual Orientation poll...) A few people at my school gave me crap when I made a coming out speech at my school, but I don't care because I know who I am and they don't mean anything to me. Plus my life is just flat-out better than a year ago (it needs work, but I'm happy where I am now as opposed to about a year ago).
  7. Phantom's Revenge was fantastic. It's such an original ride since it doesn't follow the stereotypical "out-and-back" kind of layout
  8. BUMP It just occurred to me I've been out of the closet with my best friends for over a year now Has anyone thought about how long they've been "out" for?
  9. After riding Goliath (SFGAm), I really enjoyed the first drop on that ride. It's really weird coming from a wooden coaster Other than that, any hyper coaster drop in the last row and any beyond-vertical drop is amazing
  10. Sometimes I get sick if I didn't eat for a while. I know you shouldn't ride a roller coaster after eating a huge meal, but you can't be extremely hungry either. Otherwise I feel so sick and a little lightheaded. Sometimes roller coasters that are extremely rou give me headaches (Dragon at Adventureland, I'm looking at you). Sometimes I've had to take Advil after a roller coaster, and I feel better after a while. Drinking a lot of water prevents most headaches from happenig to begin with though.
  11. V2 Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) on Physics Day
  12. I've never been to Knoebels, but I would have to go for either Holiday World (if it counts as a small park) or Indiana Beach. I also liked Kiddieland (IL) when it was open, but I think that would be classified as a kiddie park :/
  13. Carcass - "Buried Dreams" I've heard good things about this album, and I have high hopes so far
  14. Three way tie between Wicked Cyclone, Diabolik, and Fury 325. Wicked Cyclone looks like it has a good layout (the outward airtime hills at the end look absolutely loco), Diabolik will be fantastic since I love Invertigos, and Fury 325 has a fantastic layout.
  15. I'm totally okay with the construction of in-house rides...if the park knows how to design a good ride. Obviously companies are more skilled at it, so obviously if the company has no experience with designing a coaster then it's best to not do it. However, I've ridden Viper at SFGAm (my only in-house coaster I can come up with off the top of my head) and it is phenomenal.
  16. Ramones - "Poison Heart"
  17. Dragon at Adventureland 1.) Small hills before a lift hill should never hurt like they did on Dragon. 2.) The train shook the rest of the ride and it felt like it was going to collapse.
  18. This summer at Adventureland Iowa someone told me SheiKra goes 300 miles per hour. ...
  19. 3 times, Raging Bull, Vertical Velocity, Viper, and CP's Raptor. Usually when I go to a park I ride everything, not marathon just one ride
  20. I like it The 66 Days at Sea also refers to the sky a lot as well. So about the whole terrain coaster thing, I am very confused, although since it's Holiday World it will follow the natural terrain for sure.
  21. ^ Probably, I mean they promised to run it backwards so why not? I don't know the exact answer but it seems reasonable. I have never ridden Colossus but it seemed like a fun ride. Iron Colossus will be better but Colossus seemed nice too...
  22. I hope you feel better Haha he sounded cool I just finished reading the book Boy Meets Boy, has anyone read that? It's easily one of the best and happiest books I have read in my whole life
  23. WOW that is amazing if it's true Haha now whenever I talk about Kingda Ka I'm going to be like, "Kingda Ka is the world's tallest-I mean second tallest-roller coaster."
  24. I actually am okay with the delay. All of my General Public friends are extremely mad and all, but I would rather wait a bit than rush the project and do a sloppy job, especially with a roller coaster like Goliath.
  25. I just recently got an app called Aviary, which is a photo editing app. I have been working with it. Here are three of my pictures, which I have edited with it. If anyone has any advice, tips, or better apps, that would be useful. A tree at a random building in my neighborhood Blue Streak. I tried to get the 1920s feel in this picture This was taken at my grandma's house
