  1. Water from the drinking fountain outside of my office. Hurrah for ghetto water!
  2. The last concert I was at was Motley Crue back in March. It was beyond awesome. It was also by far, the loudest concert I have ever been to. I'm also going to a concert this sunday. Matt Mays and El Torpedo at a small club in Waterloo. Should be a good time. I've already seen them once this year, and they were awesome. I might post a PTR about it.
  3. 1.) I've got my black belt in Wado Ryu style karate. 2.) I'm a fairly accomplished musician, able to perform up to conservatory grade XII on the trumpet. 3.) I'm a huge rugby fan. I've also played for my schools and city. 4.) I'm a die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Go Leafs go! 5.) I can bend my fingers back to touch the back of my hand (see attached picture). The ladies love my "magic fingers"
  4. The first time I went to Cedar Point was during TTD's first season, and of course it was closed the entire weekend. When I went last summer, it was open and operating the whole weekend. I was beyond excited to ride it. When I saw it testing while waiting in line at the parking lot, I was jumping around the car. The only time I was nervous was sitting at the station, waiting for the launch. It was one hell of an adrenaline rush, something I've never experienced on any other roller coaster. It gets my thumbs up.
  5. I don't think CP would clone a coaster, especially since it bills itself as having the best collection of coasters in the world. Whatever they do decide to do, its going to be custom, not a clone. As for what its going to be? I've just given up on that. I'll leave the speculation to everyone else.
  6. I'm starting to think 4D. Like its been said, 2 and 2 together could be a reference to the number of rails used on a 4D coaster, and well...2+2=4...D? Also, "the path always taken is not necessarily the best". That could be making reference to the path that a coaster will always take, following the track, not turning on another axis. But again, this is more wild speculation. If it is a 4D though, I'm booting it down to Ohio in 2007 to ride it.
  7. Oh. Snap. The back of the mountain still looks nice with the first drop of Vortex being all sexy in its suspended glory.
  8. I've been to PCW countless times, as its only about an hour drive from where I live. Its an alright park. Occasionally, the park can get really dirty, especially near the end of the day. The rides there aren't too bad, but there's nothing really special to write home about. The new addition of The Italian Job was a spectacular "meh". Probably their best coaster is the Arrow suspended coaster, Vortex. Out of any suspended coaster I've been on, this is by far my favourite. I would put it ahead of Big Bad Wolf without hesitation. The park has some pretty good flat rides, such as their top spin, Cliffhanger. Its especially awesome when they have the water jets turned on. I have never got so wet on a ride in my entire life. And that includes the water rides at IOA. If you ever go, stay away from Tomb Raider. Rat cages of doom suck. I've driven by La Ronde a few times, and it looked like it had a good set of coasters. With the new addition of Goliath, I may have to take a road trip up to Montreal this summer to ride it.
  9. I really enjoyed CP the two times I've been. But, I would take IOA or BGE over it any day of the week. However, its proximity to me makes it a more viable option than my other two "local" parks: Canada's Wonderland and Six Flags Darien Lake. Its definitely a better park than those two.
  10. Well, I've only been on 5 B&M inverted coasters. So, I suppose here's their ranking: 1. Alpengeist 2. Dueling Dragons - Fire 3. Raptor 4. Montu 5. Dueling Dragons - Ice
  11. For me, that would be Alpengeist. It was the first coaster I rode that had inversions, and I was terrified of the ride. Even going up the lift hill, I was freaking out. When I got off the ride, I felt like I could take on anything.
  12. Well, they'd probably get the credit, catch a whale show, then go to Canada's Wonderland. That's assuming of course that crows are credit whores.
  13. I really enjoy Skyrider, the Togo standup at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. I never really found it to be a "death machine". I liked it. Its not that bad...really!
  14. Coming this Summer to Paramount Canada's Wonderland: Apocalypse Now: The Ride
  15. I'm the Magnum. I suppose its fairly accurate about my personality. At least, I'd like to think it is.
  16. From those pictures, it looks like they would have to demolish a lot in the area to accomodate the park. They would also probably be disturbing a lot of the quite nice natural scenery in the area. Personally, I'm against the idea as it would make an already touristy area needlessly moreso.
  17. Isn't the water park going on top of the parking ramp for Casino Niagara? That's at least what it looked like the last time I was down there, a few months back. As for coasters, there doesn't look like there would be anymore room on the hill for them. Unless, part of the Casino parking is removed for the rides. As for the haunted houses, most of them are a total waste of money. If you have to go into one of them, go into one of the classics, either the Dracula one or the Frankenstein one. I personally prefer the Frankenstein one since they have a huge statue of Frankenstein eating a Whopper on its roof. Classic cheese. You should also definitely check out the Ripley's and Guinness museums. Those are always a good time. I miss going to Clifton Hill.
  18. I'm another Millennium Force. Although, there's not much to the quiz. I don't know how much info you can get off of 5 questions that are clearly biased towards certain rides. But then again, it is just a Quizilla quiz. So, whatever.
  19. That's what I did in 1999 on Apollo's Chariot at BGE. My mom was in line with my dad, sister and I the whole time. Then, when it was our turn to board, she just walked through, to the exit. We looked at her, and said "we'll see you in a bit".
  20. I was searching on Google for videos of roller coasters (can't specifically remember which ones) and I stumbled across TPR. My life has been in a downward spiral ever since. I also kind of knew about it from coasterfanatics.com
  21. The worst time I've ever had at a park eh? Well, its a tie. Time 1: Cedar Point 2005 So, I'm at Cedar Point and in line for TTD. Naturally, the line is huge, the sun is hot and of course, the fans aren't working in the queue. Being a complete tool, I forgot to wear a hat. After two hours in the line, I was starting to feel groggy. After going on the ride (which I enjoyed), I ended up passing out from heat exhaustion. I still managed to get in rides on MaXair, Wicked Twister, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport and Mantis before leaving though. So I guess it wasn't totally wasted. But I felt like complete garbage the entire day, ruining my coaster experience. Time 2: Paramount Canada's Wonderland 2005 My roommate at the time told me she wanted to go to PCW for the day and asked if I wanted to go with her and a few of her friends. Naturally, I said yes. But what I didn't realize was how exclusive they were. I had known them a bit before, but they essentially shut me out of their group. It was absolutely brutal. What made matters worse was that everyone (roommate included) were French exchange students, so I barely heard any English at all. Although my roommate's screams on the Vekoma Boomerang were funny enough to hold me over. Yeah...2005 was full of bad park memories.
  22. I'm the same way, its the only Togo ride I've been on. And just like you, I actually enjoy the ride. Its not that rough (comparitavely) and the sack squash has always been kept to a minimum on my rides.
  23. Vortex definitely takes the win in this category for me. It remains one of my absolute favourite roller coasters. BBW does come in a close second though, as it was my first.
  24. Here is the order of favourite roller coasters at Cedar Point: 1. Millennium Force 2. Raptor 3. Magnum 4. Wicked Twister 5. Gemini 6. Top Thrill Dragster 7. Mantis 8. Blue Streak 9. Mean Streak 10. Disaster Transport 11. Wildcat 12. Iron Dragon
  25. I haven't laughed as hard as I did when I saw this episode in a very long time. It brightened an otherwise gloomy day. Pure comedy, especially the very end.
