I only rode BTTF once, and that was way back in 1993, during my first trip to Orlando. I found it too rough, even back then. The back of my head was slamming against the headrest the whole time. Ouch. Never rode it again because of that. But, for its innovative (at the time) technology, it will definitely be missed. EDIT: 200th post...I officially have little to no life.

900 now. He took another 500 during his "day" at WDW. Also, bahahahaha@this thread

I don't know if I can pick an absolutely favourite, so you're getting three. Adventures of Spider-Man, Islands of Adventure, Orlando, FL - Simply put...wow. The technology of this ride is amazing and its put together so well, it just blew me away. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Disney-MGM Studios, Orlando, FL - When parks change rides, its usually for the worse. Not so with the TOT. Every change Disney made to this ride only made it better. I've been on 4 different incarnations of the ride at MGM and it just kept getting better and better. I heart the seatbelt only restraints. Big Bad Wolf, Busch Gardens Europe, Williamsburg, VA - Sure, its not the best roller coaster in the world, but I have a soft spot for this Arrow suspended coaster. It was my first "big" coaster when I was a kid, and I still love it.

Worst Coaster Ever?

Its a tie between Wild Beast and Tomb Raider: The Ride, both at PCW. I'm pretty sure Wild Beast gave me some internal bleeding and Tomb Raider...well that just sucked. -

Yeah, but the lot is absolutely massive and never gets filled to capacity anyways. If they scrap Dragon Fire (here's hoping...), they could put a new coaster at the old site and in the parking lot. There's so much room there. -
My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Best Coaster "Voice Over" or Sounds

I love the music that plays on TTD when you leave the station for the launch area. "Baby, I'm ready to go..." So awesome. -
Coolest station you've seen

I actually really enjoy Top Gun at PCW's station. Its themed nicely to a hangar and all that jazz. It works very well. I know this isn't coaster, but whatever...but Dr. Doom's Fear Fall at IOA is freakin' AWESOME. -
Anaconda - Gold reef City - POV

Yeah, I'm curious if they basically just ripped-off the B:TR lay-out; looked extremely similar. The layouts have the same beginning but the ends are NOTHING the same. Picture taken from rcdb -

In my experience with Cedar Fair, I figure its because I said I was a university student doing research for an international tourism course. I believe that if I had just been e-mailing for no actual reason they wouldn't have responded at all. I guess if you have an actual and valid reason for contacting them, they won't mind. Now about that philosophical debate about Optimus Prime...

I wrote to Cedar Fair asking about their business policies and coaster building decision making. They were extremely helpful to me, sending me their annual report and about 35 articles that were related to my questions. I also got a contact with their Investor Relations person for any follow ups I might have. It really shocked me to see a company so forthcoming with information so readily.

Best Looking Park From A Distance
mightypotato replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Point, without a doubt. You're driving towards the park and all you see are massive rides dominating the skyline. I remember the first time I went there, thinking "whoa..." -
Mine were: "Happy new years! Cheers everyone! Hey look, fireworks!"

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
mightypotato replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Best - SROS@SFDL - Oh man, that s-hill thingy and the bunny hills at the end give so much airtime its ridiculous. Worst - Dragon Fire@PCW - Long break run, pointless and bumpy helix, even longer break run. Lame. -

Trip Report: SFMM on 12/26/06
mightypotato replied to Xtreme-me's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I do that at PCW during the day. The food at the park is stupidly overpriced, so I just head literally across the street to grab some Wendys or a sub. Better quality for a cheaper price. You can't beat that. -

^^^ Is that Marineland? If so, the coaster is simply called "Tivoli Coaster". -
How was your park year?
mightypotato replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My year was very uneventful. Mainly due to work/school and the fact that I don't own a car and none of my friends are coaster people like I am. I did manage to make a couple trips out to the parks though. I hit SFDL in July and PCW in October for their Fearfest. SFDL managed to really surprise me on how well everything was running. There were multiple trains on all rides (except Boomerang, of course), friendly staff and efficient ride ops. A great day there. PCW was absolutely PACKED for Fearfest. I had never seen the park so full...of overdressed, snotty high school students. Seriously, its like every high school in Toronto exploded and every student landed at the park. Despite the amount of people, the ride ops were massively efficient and the waits were never that long for rides, which made me happy. K...now for some obligatory pictures of my short coaster escapades in 2006. Mmmmm...Superman Artsy ferris wheel shot Viper makes my ears cry Mind Eraser makes my ears cry too. One more picture of the awesomeness that was Superman Oh God, people...everywhere! Failed Italian Job picture attempt Cool.
