RCT1, 2, & 3 FAQ's
mightypotato replied to Goliath513's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^^ Paste the music file (either .wma or .mp3) into the "music" folder in your RCT3 directory. It should show up in your music drop down menu for rides. -
What is your favorite Stand Up coaster?
mightypotato replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only two standups I've been on are Mantis (CP) and SkyRider (PCW). Overall, Mantis is the superior ride. But, there are sections on SkyRider where you get some crazy standing up airtime if its running well. -
Surfing to TPR

I type in "th" and then through the magic of the interweb, I arrive here. -
Dragster at Wonderland?
mightypotato replied to jazzimm's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm still waiting on "Footloose", the B&M floorless that was rumoured about a while back... *continues holding breath* -
The Smoothest Roller Coaster
mightypotato replied to Eric_Smith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My question is, why isn't Pinfari on that list? They make the smoothest coasters in the world. -
Six Flags 2007 Q1 Conference Call

Sweet...now I can get my Kraft Dinner and roller coaster fixes settled at the same time! -

Vekoma did it first anyways with the Flying Dutchman coaster. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
mightypotato replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OK, so its not going to open on time due to some track issues. I for one am glad that CP is taking the steps needed to repair the ride before something bad happens to someone. They could have opened the ride with this flaw, but that would have been jeopardizing people's safety. For people that are upset about it not being open for their visit...suck it up. CP is a great park, with tons to offer. You won't be bored. I went in 2003 specifically to ride TTD, and it was closed the entire time I was there. I still had a blast riding everything else. -
Sylvan Beach to get 14 new rides!
mightypotato replied to Tanks4me05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sky Wheels are FREAKIN' AWESOME! They used to have one at the Erie County Fair every year when I was a kid, and it was the definite highlight of the trip. I haven't been in years, so I don't know if it still comes with them or not. -
Still enjoying the ride of his life
mightypotato replied to asr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Point is getting something new. Let the 300 page speculation thread begin now. Also, Aquatrax. -
Photo TR: Canada's Wonderland season pass preview!
mightypotato replied to shesaidboom's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I feel your pain about Wild(e) Beast. The first time I went on it, I loved it and rode it over and over again. The years have passed since then and they have not been good to the old coaster. The last time I went on it on Hallowe'en, it was possibly the roughest coaster I had ever been on. Unless they do something to fix it, I probably won't be going back on it. -
Marineland Canada Expansion
mightypotato replied to philipdimartino's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well...since it is Marineland, I wouldn't expect the aquarium addition until at least 2020 or so. Also as a side bet, what will happen first? The topple tower being built or the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series? -
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,, ... html?f=rss Wow...I can't believe that a park EMPLOYEE did something like this. I really wonder what their thought process was as they were climbing over the fence to get that wallet.

Mine is just the BBC News website. Nothing too exciting or fancy. Gotta keep up in world events, though.

Captain`s Big CHINA / THAILAND Tour - LAST PART: BANGKOK
mightypotato replied to captain's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
No, its not. The company copied everything from Vekoma. The track design, trains, restraints...everything. I'm surprised there aren't any lawsuits over that. -
Cobra (RCT 3)
mightypotato replied to IceDragon's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^^ I think what he's going for is to show off the layouts of his coasters. For me, theming is only secondary to layout. Sure, you could have the greatest theming the world, but your layout could still suck. But it looks pretty. But, that's just my opinion. I've been known to be wrong in the past. -
The roughest steel I've been on is Viper at Darien Lake. Its the only ride that has actually given me bruises. In terms of wood roller coasters, my experience is fairly limited, but I can say without question that its Wild Beast at PCW. Its gotten so bad that I refuse to even go on it anymore.

Favorite Non-ride Amusement

I often enjoy some restaurants that parks offer. Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom and Festhaus at BGE are among my absolute favourites. -

A Letter to Cedar Fair
mightypotato replied to CdnbMatt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Take out Dragon Fire and replace it with a B&M floorless. That's what I would like to see happen to the park.
