  1. Probably Balder. That thing looks so amazing and everyone keeps raving about it.
  2. I've always liked PCW's Skyrider, a TOGO standup. Every ride I've had on it has been fun, with no roughness at all.
  3. I still don't think its feasible for the majority of parks to have. Also, X and EJ are relatively short (albeit intense) rides. Until the layout is lengthened, and the costs become smaller, I wouldn't expect to see many more 4D coasters. Its a shame too, because they look really fun.
  4. Skyrider gets no love. Its actually a really fun ride, despite it being a TOGO. I always experience very little roughness on it. My last coaster was Superman: ROS at SFDL. Awesome. Hopefully, I can convince my dad to make a side trip up to CP when we're down in Ohio this August.
  5. Aren't they essentially the exact same coaster? That's what I always thought.
  6. The best ending I can think of was Superman: Ride of Steel at SFDL...those bunny hills before the brake run are awesome. As for worst? I'd give that to Dragon Fire at PCW...extremely lame helix and super long brake run.
  7. I definitely agree with going with both...it makes the game more complete. As for which is better? I'd give it to Wild simply because of the extended coaster. I love building with that thing.
  8. I completely agree. A while ago, we all knew it was going to be dueling B&M flyers and anyone who said it was going to be another Intamin would have been shouted down. While speculation about a new coaster is fun, sometimes is just gets out of hand.
  9. Well, how does Revenge of the Mummy work? That has a bit of a backwards launch, travels through a bit of track, transfers then launches again. I don't see how that wouldn't work. Unless I'm completely mistaken about how Mummy worked.
  10. For me, its Top Thrill Dragster's launch. It caught me completely by surprise just how intense it was.
  11. I absolutely love airtime. However, I think that it can become too intense, or even painful if taken to the extreme. For example, Dodonpa or Hypersonic look like they would hurt when you go over the hill. But rides like Millennium Force, any of the Superman: ROS or B&M hypers are awesome for airtime.
  12. Zero-G roll for the win. I absolutely love the inversion...its just so much fun. That, and it looks awesome on video.
  13. I boil them for a bit, then fry them up. Occasionally, I'll toss in some onions and bacon, but usually I don't have these luxury items at my place. For seasoning, I'll only use seasoning salt...nothing more, nothing less. Now I'm hungry
  14. What kind of support is that in the middle (the one with three little prong type dealies)?
  15. The only rocket coaster I've been on is TTD, and I found the launch to be very smooth and even. From the POV and off ride videos I've seen of other rocket coasters, they all appear to have smooth launches as well.
  16. O...M...G I really really want to go to Liseberg right now. That video was all sorts of awesomeness. Balder and Kanonen look spectacular.
  17. I'm pretty sure they did. But I also think they advertised it as the "tallest and fastest complete circuit coaster" or something to that effect.
  18. My top 5 coasters are: Millennium Force The Incredible Hulk Vortex (Paramount Canada's Wonderland) Alpengeist Superman: Ride of Steel (Six Flags Darien Lake) All photos courtesty of RCDB
  19. What I want to know is who is putting Mean Streak as one of the top 10 wooden coasters? The last time I was on it, it was an absolutely terrible ride.
  20. In a recent issue of National Geographic, they were advertising their Megastructures show about roller coasters and they had a picture saying "Riders go head over heels on Dragon Khan in Salou, Spain". That's cool, except they were showing a Vekoma SLC as the picture of "Dragon Khan". Last time I checked, Dragon Khan was a B&M sitdown looper.
  21. I've been stuck on a few coasters in my time. Vortex at PCW (lifthill) Dueling Dragons Ice at IOA (lifthill) Big Thunder Mountain (WDW) (lifthill)
  22. Just use the extended coaster to make the dive loop and zero-g roll. It would make a much better recreation. That is, unless you don't have Wild.
