You don't necessarily need to enter by Skloosh. My first time to Knoebels, we immediately made a bee-line to Phoenix before even seeing the Knoebels sign. Plus, there's always this sign before parking...

I'm not a souvenir type person, so I have very few of them. In fact, most of them were gifts from parks while on TPR tours. That being said though, my favourite is a block of wood from Wooden Warrior that I got in 2011.

In other Olympic news, hurray for Jennifer Jones' rink winning the gold in women's curling! Our first gold since Sandra Schmirler in 1998 and the first undefeated rink in Olympic history!

I305 is full of crazy twists. Hell, it spawned the TWISTY! meme. But, let's not forget about it's Pennsylvania cousin, Skyrush. Iron Rattler also twists in way it seems no coaster should

I'm very glad that concerts have started up again for 2014. I started to go into withdrawals. For the first show of the year, I made my way to Toronto to see Dark Tranquility, Omnium Gatherum, Exmortus and The Parellax. Exmortus absolutely stole the show with a fantastic set that blew everyone away. Dark Tranquility and Omnium Gatherum provided great melodic death metal, which made me happy. Last night, I went back to Toronto to see Children of Bodom, Death Angel and Tyr. I LOVE all three bands, so I was extremely excited for this show. Tyr seems to get better every time I see them. Plus...folk metal is best metal. Just like when I saw them in November, Death Angel put on a fun thrash set that got the crowd worked up into a frenzy. If the crowd was already overly excited, Children of Bodom put them over the top. A nice hour and half long set of both new and older stuff. Any time I can hear Blooddrunk live, it makes me happy. Just joined for the Canada's Wonderland event. This is a fantastic charity that I am more than happy to donate both my time and money to.

I'm inclined to agree. Hell, there aren't even that many coasters with 300+ foot drops because even that much is prohibitively expensive.

How about a Deliverance themed log flume? Yeah, you're right. That's a terrible idea.

Even for a kiddie coaster, that's pretty bad.

*sigh* Six Flags Over Texas. So much potential that just wasn't realized. For what it's worth though, I still enjoyed Mr. Freeze and the Bugs Bunny water ride. That day, I thought the heat was causing me to not really enjoy my time. But...it was just as hot when we went to the State Fair and I LOVED that place. I dunno. Maybe we caught it on an off day. Also, that "MERICA" picture is one of my favourite pictures I've ever taken.

The only grey out I've had was on I305. I was not expecting the first turn to be as intense as it was and it caught me by surprise. I was actually surprised I didn't grey out on Titan's bonus helix. That was also extremely intense.

In terms of "awe and wonder", TTD and KK have always stood out to me. They're imposing and intimidating structures and then watching a train rocket up the tower is something that just makes your jaw drop.

There are a lot of bands that I love, but out of everything (and after going through my iTunes library), here are the ones I would consider my "favourites". Most definitely Gatekeeper. I didn't care for X-Flight when I rode it this summer. It felt sluggish and was pretty boring. Even the keyhole didn't do much for me. Gatekeeper I found a bit more exciting with a better layout. That said, neither of them is really high up on my list, but whatever.

Sunturnbrew. The first time I've had a smoked beer. Very interesting and delicious! It's kind of like drinking a campfire. But in a good way. Also, you should add me as a friend on Untappd. Just sayin'
