  1. That looked a hell of a lot like the 1996 Banshee logo.
  2. Disagree. If there's one thing people love, it's nostalgia.
  3. I like it as well, I just think it's a red herring.
  4. If it's a diversion, the logo was probably made for cheap because I doubt they went through with filing for trademarks and all that jazz. Hell, for all we know they could have made an intern or other employee with a graphic design background make it for free.
  5. Dorney has Talon, Stinger, and Possessed (the latter two being literally right next to each other). I doubt Cedar Fair is concerned about that, nor should they be.
  6. There's three hotels right off of I-80 which are roughly a half hour away from the park. I'd avoid the Econo Lodge, but the other two are nice. One is up by Walmart/Lowe's and the other is right across from the TA truck stop.
  7. They desperately need a wooden coaster to round out their collection, even if it's a smaller one. Thunderhawk is horrible. Give them a decent/re-rideable wooden coaster and their collection becomes pretty decent.
  8. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the fact that Flying Turns' trains are painted and logo'd up is encouraging...why go through the trouble of all that if the ride is still ways from opening?
  9. A little surprised to see Kumba on the list mainly because of the sheer number of rides you have to choose from, but it's absolutely a defensible pick...I have it at #8 myself behind I305, El Toro, SkyRush, Millennium Force, Storm Runner, Phoenix, and Kingda Ka.
  10. In regards to Flying Turns, it's far from a cheap shot. That "project" is comical/ridiculous and deserves every ounce of criticism it gets. I remember hoping to ride it before I graduated high school and left the area, and that was in 2008.
  11. Steel Force's queue is ridiculously long IMO...I've never seen it come close to being filled since it opened in '97.
  12. To me, as far as the inverted coasters go, B&M fell off after Talon. That was the last one to have traces of what made the early versions so great.
  13. 1. THROUUUUUUGH THE WOOD > Through The Trees 2. If I ever hit the Powerball I will personally donate $10 million to Knoebel's to build something similar to this
  14. Looked similar to Steel Dragon's trains to me.
  15. Lakemont Park. You could've told me it was a carnival and I would've believed it.
  16. This was pretty hard...I really need to get back to some of these parks to refresh my memory. --Generator: Jordan's Ballot Helper 2012 (steel)-- --Ballot: c87f40d52bd-- LOCATION IN NEXT LINE (Please LEAVE THIS LINE IN BALLOT) ~"Pennsylvania" NAME IN NEXT LINE (Please LEAVE THIS LINE IN THE BALLOT) ~"Josh L" RANK THE FOLLOWING RIDING SENSATIONS <-LEAVE Abrupt Airtime_____________________________,y,y,1 Sensation of Speed_________________________,y,y,2 Floating Airtime___________________________,y,y,3 Out of Control Feeling/Directional Changes_,y,y,4 Lateral Forces_____________________________,y,y,5 Positive G's/Loops_________________________,y,y,6 COASTER NAME PARK LOC <-LEAVE Intimidator 305 Kings Dominion VA,y,n,1 Favorite Wood Coaster Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,2 Skyrush Hersheypark PA,y,y,3 Storm Runner Hersheypark PA,y,y,4 Millennium Force Cedar Point OH,y,n,5 Kumba Busch Gardens Tamp FL,y,n,6 Kingda Ka Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,7 Top Thrill Dragster Cedar Point OH,y,n,8 Montu Busch Gardens Tamp FL,y,n,9 Apollo's Chariot Busch Gardens Will VA,y,n,10 Raptor Cedar Point OH,y,n,11 Dominator Kings Dominion VA,y,n,12 Incredible Hulk Islands of Adventu FL,y,n,13 Batman The Ride/Clone SF & Other Parks **,y,n,14 Nitro Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,15 Bizarro Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,16 Talon Dorney Park PA,y,n,17 Fahrenheit Hersheypark PA,y,y,18 Steel Force Dorney Park PA,y,n,19 Great Bear Hersheypark PA,y,n,20 Alpengeist Busch Gardens Will VA,y,n,21 Volcano: The Blast Co Kings Dominion VA,y,n,22 Possessed Dorney Park PA,y,n,23 Superman – Ultimate F Six Flags Parks **,y,n,24 Wicked Twister Cedar Point OH,y,n,25 Magnum XL-200 Cedar Point OH,y,n,26 Revenge of the Mummy Universal Studios FL,y,n,27 Flight of Fear Kings Dominion VA,y,n,28 Hydra the Revenge Dorney Park PA,y,n,29 Mantis Cedar Point OH,y,n,30 Big Thunder Mountain WDW Magic Kingdom FL,y,n,31 Sooperdooperlooper Hersheypark PA,y,n,32 Gemini Cedar Point OH,y,n,33 Backlot Stunt Coaster Kings Dominion VA,y,n,34 Skull Mountain Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,35 Roller Soaker Hersheypark PA,y,n,36 Dark Knight Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,37 Loch Ness Monster Busch Gardens Will VA,y,n,38 Avalanche Kings Dominion VA,y,n,39 Iron Dragon Cedar Point OH,y,n,40 Fav Arrow Mine Train Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,41 Fav Arrow Corkscrew Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,42 Great American Scream Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,n,43 Fav Vekoma Boomerang Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,44 Fav Chance Toboggan Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,45
  17. No definites yet, unfortunately. I'll hit up Knoebel's if Flying Turns opens, and I'd definitely like to get back to Hershey for another lap or twelve on SkyRush.
  18. Favorite: Knoebel's Skooters Least Favorite: The rest of them
  19. Changing from Knoebel's/Holiday World to Knoebel's/Hershey...better wood to steel ratio.
  20. 1. Buy a smartphone/iPod Touch 2. Download games of your choice 3. Look at porn 4. Do heroin 5. Profit
  21. Central PA is pretty ideal. I have: Knoebel's - 15 minutes Hershey - 1 hour Dorney - 1.5 hours Great Adventure - 2.5 hours Kennywood - 3.5 hours 5 solid parks that I could conceivably go to for a day trip. Not bad.
  22. Pleasant Surprise Viper (Great Adventure) - I rode it in August of '02...had always heard about how awful it was, but I actually liked the ride. No headbanging that I can remember, and the barrel roll/dive loop/immelman thing was enjoyable. Its replacement is okay, I guess. And by okay I mean insane. Skyliner (Lakemont) - I was expecting a boring, "meh" ride, but the first half was really good and had a few moments of intense airtime. It really fizzled out in the second half, but it was still better than I expected it would be. Unpleasant Surprise Gwazi (Busch Gardens Tampa) - Pure pain...awful, and that goes for Tiger and Lion. This was before the switch to Millennium Flyers, so I'm open to giving it another shot.
  23. Pennsylvania Maryland New York New Hampshire Vermont Ohio Indiana Illinois Delaware New Jersey West Virginia Virginia Tennessee North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Florida 17 total
  24. It's honestly a little ridiculous that the station design even made it past the drawing board.
