  1. So glad I live so close. Haven't been to Hershey since Fahrenheit opened (don't like visiting parks more than once unless they add something I want to ride), but I'm definitely going next year.
  2. -Chrysler Building -Burj Khalifa -Duke Chapel (Duke University) -Kingdom Centre (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) -Ibrox Stadium (Glasgow, Scotland - home of Rangers FC) -Taipei 101 (Taipei, Taiwan) -
  3. It almost looks like some kind of messed up incline loop from the side angle.
  4. The Jaws removal is pretty sad news for me. I always wanted to ride it after seeing it at the end of all the Double Dare episodes on Nickelodeon...I did get to Universal in 2006, but it was closed due to rain so I missed out. It's amazing that most, if not all of Universal's original iconic attractions are now gone/replaced.
  5. I personally like slow/extended lift hills. #KanyeShrug
  6. NFL NHL English Premier League College basketball College football Video games Drinking alcohol Working Going to school Drinking alcohol
  7. HSTC being removed kinda surprised me, but when you think about it it was bound to happen sooner rather than later. At least they replaced it with something just as good (so I hear). I was only 2 or 3 when Jet Star got replaced with Whirlwind, but man I wish they never did that. Whirlwind was hot garbage and its' replacement is entering it's 7th year of construction.
  8. I can't believe Talon has been around for 10 years...holy crap am I getting old. I don't like it at all.
  9. I went to one PPP (I want to say it was '03), and I was one of "those guys" that didn't dress up. I never thought I'd feel out of place while wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
  10. I'd hate to be a ride op.
  11. I'm indifferent on this whole subject, but wouldn't the braking system track cost more than standard track for a small hill or two? Brake runs can't be cheap.
  12. This is the worst flood I've ever seen here. Worse than Ivan in '04 and worse than '06...by far.
  13. This is crazy. Knoebel's can't be in any better shape, because Bloomsburg is on total lockdown right now. There's been blackhawk helicopters flying in and out, power/water is out in most places...crazy.
  14. AstroWorld closing immediately came to mind. It struck me as really odd at the time considering a year or two prior they had just spent some decent money on it (Sky Swatter, Blizzard River, repainting pretty much every coaster).
  15. Skyrush only because there's an extremely good chance I'll be able to ride it next year, whereas the rest I probably won't. Taking that out of consideration, Leviathan intrigues me the most.
  16. LOVE that paint job...love it. I might have to make my way down there next year and give it a spin.

  18. This post is amazing...just wanted to let you know. I might be the only one that gets the reference, but it's still great.
  19. Put me down as like 70/30 on going...I need to get a stupid passport first.

  21. Keith McVeen has been dishing out the good stuff for as long as I can remember. Glad for him that he was able to turn his talent into a legit business. I remember watching his Badnitrus animations like 10 years ago...love his work.

  23. I figured I'd add the one I deleted earlier even though it isn't back to back...Viper and Texas Tornado at AstroWorld...two Schwarzkopf loopers that were right next to each other. What about Wild Beast and Minebuster in the same park that started this discussion? EDIT: Meh, someone beat me to it.
  24. The Mt. Olympus woodies aren't really anything alike, based on layouts/stats*. Zeus is an out and back, Cyclops is a really short, compact coaster built for airtime, and Hades is mostly underground. *I have never been to Mt. Olympus and am making this claim solely based on pictures and the stats listed on RCDB.
  25. There is no way Tatsu has ever gotten close to that number! Then again, it's at SFMM! I just used that as example because it was the first flyer that came to mind. I just looked up Air, S:UF, and Manta and they're all listed at 1500 rph, respectively. Keyword is listed, I guess. But point being, even if they're not 1500 pph efficient and are ran at 1000 or 1250 pph, that's still a very good capacity and likely would've been looked at if CW was not getting something intended for someone else.
