  1. I love the NBA team part. The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the least profitable/popular teams in the league, yet this guy thinks a second Tennessee team in the middle of nowhere is viable. Yeah right. I could MAYBE see a team in Bridgestone Arena where the Predators play, but there is no justification for having two NBA teams in Tennessee.
  2. I'm sure someone will come along and build something taller than KK...but really, I wouldn't mind seeing some more traditional (by traditional I mean with a lift hill) 200-300 foot rides.
  3. ...What park are you going to? I've been to Dorney tons of times. I've waited on line quite a few times. Longest I've waited was about 2 hours for Talon. Sure, lines RARELY show up at Dorney, but they indeed exist. The longest line I've ever waited in at the park was like 15 minutes for Talon the year it opened, and I've been going there since 1996.
  4. That's a ridiculous generalization.
  5. Unless they recently demolished it, Hypersonic's station is still standing at KD.
  6. It's insane that you were up that high and there was still (almost) an Empire State Building above you. I need to see that thing in person before I die.
  7. I'm assuming they saved a good deal of money by keeping the original structure and adding a few steel supports as opposed to tearing the whole thing down and building from the ground up.
  8. Same. I wish the trip didn't cost as much as I make in a year Man I hate part time jobs.
  9. Knoebel's, if you read this forum, please ditch Flying Turns and build something like that. Holy hell that looks ridiculous. Knoebels did. It's called the Twister. Twister is a giant terrain coaster that's built on the mountain where the Skyway is? That's news to me.
  10. Knoebel's, if you read this forum, please ditch Flying Turns and build something like that. Holy hell that looks ridiculous.
  11. Two inverted shuttle coasters right next to each other...facepalm.
  12. Grenade WHISTLE
  13. Wiz Khalifa is coming here in April...can't wait.
  14. My count is a little limited, but nonetheless: 1. Dominator 2. Medusa/Bizzaro 3. Hydra
  15. Ashland's a bit off the beaten path and could be hard to get to if you're not from this area. Still a cool place to visit if you're into that stuff. We went to Reptiland for a field trip in like 2nd grade. It was cool, but like was said above, it's really small and there's not a ton to see.
  16. I just can't see myself visiting until Flying Turns is finished, and this is coming from someone who lives 15 minutes away and will have 2 other new credits to get (Black Diamond and Kozmo's Kurves). I just don't feel like I should be giving them my money when they've failed to deliver something they started 6 freaking years ago. That being said, Black Diamond looks awesome.
  17. As far as families, Knoebels is in a pretty remote area so not too sure of other activities. We ended up going to a local golf course (Knoebels advertises one that they own as well) for a round in between the Knoebels visits, which was a lot of fun. But unless your whole family is into golfing, that might not work for you. The Susquehanna River is nearby and would probably offer some water-based activities. We drove down to Shamokin Dam one day expecting, well...a big dam. Even though it was a little unremarkable, there was a nice area of the Susquehanna that looked like it would be a nice area for boating. Perhaps some of the other readers might have some suggestions? I know there are some people on here that live fairly close to Elysburg. If you are only going for a couple days though...Knoebels probably has enough to offer to keep the family going with the pools, waterslides and (of course) the great rides! I live in Bloomsburg, which is about 15 miles from Elysburg. There's really nothing to do around here, it sucks. If you come during the last week of September, the Bloomsburg Fair is worth a visit, but other than that, visiting Centralia is the only thing I can think of.
  18. I was in the process of listing my Xbox 360 on eBay just a few minutes ago when I decided to play a game of NBA 2k11. What happens next? Red ring of death. FML.
  19. Overdue, but better late than never. I rode both sides in 2003, and man were they awful. Rough I can handle, bone-jarring...not so much.
  20. Some more favorites:
  21. I figured they'd be much further along in construction by now, but the snow storm today and the crapload the NY/NJ area got a few weeks ago didn't help matters at all.
  22. Nice TR. I was at Lakemont once in (I think) 2004, and really didn't enjoy it. Skyliner was good, but the rest of the park wasn't in very good shape. Leap-the-Dips being closed that day didn't help matters, either.
  23. Just played...didn't win, but I think I somehow popped the ball that I was trying to get It's the clear one that's sitting right in front of the chute/chimney thing.
  24. I lucked into Peyton Hillis. Not only in this league, but another one too. Matt Ryan becoming a dependable fantasy QB paid dividends as well.
