  1. That's a must buy for sure. Kudos to CF.
  2. This confirms my opinion that Intamin's new track style is really freaking ugly. I doubt it'll happen, but I hope they revert to their old box track for future projects.
  3. One example of an extremely entertaining 0-0 draw was in the '06 World Cup with Trinidad & Tobago against Sweden. T&T was the consensus worst team in the field and wasn't expected to do anything, but managed a point against a pretty talented Swedish team.
  4. No, it's legit. Anyway, here are my (probably wrong) predictions for today: South Africa 1-1 Mexico (Mexico is the better team but I feel like all the emotions of this being the first WC match ever in Africa with the home team there will give SA a boost and get them a point) Uruguay 2-1 France (Upset special...IMO Uruguay is very underrated and can pull it off. I still see both teams advancing out of the group)
  5. If they practiced and played on the same field from May/June (OTA's) to January, the field would be a complete mess, assuming they go with a natural grass surface.
  6. If Boise State were smart, they'd join the Mountain West, which would almost force the BCS to give them an automatic bid. I'd say the Pac 10, but they're not up to par as far as academic reputation goes.
  7. They look like somebody put PTCs on a Premeir. You decide if thats good or bad . . . The ride looks pretty great, definitely worth a trip back out to Kennywood. Maybe this was already discussed, but will it always trim that hard in the mid-course? The trims at the top of the hill looked pretty light, but it looked like it wasn't going to make it out of the mid-course. I'd say bad...it just looks really cheap. The ride looks awesome though.
  8. Wow, those trains are hideous...they're pretty much glorified boxes.
  9. I have a feeling Kansas or Kansas State will get the shaft...there's rumors of them even going to the Mountain West.
  10. The 49ers deserve a new stadium...Candlestick is antiquated to the umpteenth degree, and the city gave the Giants a new stadium over 10 years ago. This will be huge for luring free agents and increasing revenue. As a sports fan, I'm very pleased.
  11. The only issue I had with the one in Baltimore is that they used the big basketball "arena" for parties/banquets, so we couldn't use it. The NYC Zone got rid of theirs all together and put some smaller games in its place, huge bummer.
  12. Lame and disappointing news, IMO. I love the ESPNZones...the one in Baltimore is a great place to go to waste time before Orioles games. The one in NYC was a little lacking, but still cool.
  13. He's a machine. His CHANGEUP is 88-91 and his sinker is 95-97...it's just not fair. The movement that his 4-seamer had is ridiculous and unheard of. I pray that he doesn't go the way of Mark Prior and we can see starts like these for the next 10+ years.
  14. I seriously wonder if this is due to the always rumored launch of the iPhone on Verizon. New phone=new contract=new more expensive early termination fees. I hope those rumors turn out to be true. I've been waiting on buying a Droid or Palm Pre because of this.
  15. If this method is proving to work then I can see them getting rid of the trims, because they really didn't solve any of the other problems it causes, most notably the extreme forces of the pull-out/turn.
  16. The U.S. beating England would not be a miracle. Them beating Spain in the Confederations Cup wasn't even a miracle and was way more of an upset than us beating England would be.
  17. That thing is freaking massive...has to be a hell of a sight in person.
  18. 5 more days, so excited. It's a shame that there's been a crap load of injuries to major players on a lot of teams: USA: Charlie Davies (out of World Cup) England: Rio Ferdinand (out of World Cup), David Beckham (out of World Cup) Netherlands: Arjen Robben (questionable) Germany: Michael Ballack (out of World Cup) Ghana: Michael Essien (out of World Cup) Ivory Coast: Didier Drogba (doubtful) I really hope Drogba can make it back, because that team is the only chance Africa has of winning a World Cup any time soon.
  19. Talk about living a complete and amazing life...I'm sure he's happy to be re-joining his wife. The guy wrote her a letter every 21st of the month since the day she died. There's one guy everyone should look to if they need guidance on how to live their life, and it's John Wooden.
  20. Nothing, they're just continuing to let their incompetence shine through.
  21. I've grown a bit sour towards Knoebel's with the (what seems to be) incompetence regarding Flying Turns, but Phoenix and Twister never get old.
  22. I think the place looks sick and can't wait to go, but I do question the staying power of it, mainly because the author released all 7 books with no intention to write any more and 6 of the 7 movies are out. I'm curious to see how they're going to keep it fresh and interesting years after the popularity of Harry Potter dies down.
  23. Shik...holy hell, you're close.
  24. It's close between Storm Runner and Kingda Ka/Dragster
