  1. Haven't been to Knoebels yet...I'm not a fan of lateral (partly because I haven't ridden a good lateral intended coaster) so Phoenix would be my choice. Both of them look really really good though.
  2. I discussed the possibility of the 0G sensation with my study group earlier but we couldn't find the right formulas to correctly set up the parabola, can anyone help us with that?
  3. Doesn't the negative G force between the inflection point and 90 degrees point balance the positive G force? That's the point of having a parabolic shaped "Zero G section" I guess.
  4. ^ Got it, thanks for explaining it.
  5. That lift could be much faster than on this video! Remember how Intamin tests their cable lift? There could be some massive airtime on the Top Hat.
  6. ^So just like a taller standard El Loco first drop with extra 0G section?
  7. When you think the subway in your city can be "more intense"
  8. Now that the first drop is complete, it doesn't look as ugly. Would be interesting to experience an over 90 degrees drop that tall, can't wait to see more of the layout.
  9. Strangely out of all the Arrows I've ridden, Mini Mine Train is the only one that I would consider rough. Arrow's side to side banging can always be avoided and I haven't found an Arrow that gives the Hair Raiser jackhammering feeling.
  10. That's a seriously impressive structure! Looks like it's an underground space shuttle launch pad.
  11. These photos were posted on Facebook.
  12. I've never heard of running only two cars as well, but the deceleration and the acceleration on the Top Hat looks faster than what a 4 car train can give. Plus, if they are running with two cars, wouldn't the train get too fast into the brake?
  13. Maverick! No need to explain how wild that first drop is. How muchG force would give the "butterfly in stomach"feeling? I get a lot of them on B&M's but never on Intamins.
  14. Is it possible that Intamin is only using two cars when they filmed this video? By the way does Intamin run the two car train to test the wheels and track or only pull it through the course slowly for clearance test?
  15. How about Fantasiana's Wild Train? Is it enjoyable intense or painful intense?
  16. Around once or twice a year. Chimelong Paradise really doesn't offer many new things every year.
  17. Goliath SFFT Raptor CP Great White SWSA Batman SFMM Batman SFStL I need more good B&M Invert!
  18. But it's an Intamin just like Kanonen. In fact, it pretty much is a clone of Kanonen, only with a lifthill-drop instead of a launch. And mirrored. And slightly bigger. But the layout is exactly the same. I know it's an Intamin, I think the relatively slow transitions are more like Mack's style. Kind of like the relationship between Mega-Lite and knock-off Mega-Lite.
  19. Pleasant: Bullet Coaster at Happy Valley Shenzhen! Oh god that launch and the first drop are great enough to get higher than its spot on Mitch Hawker last year. Granted the rest of the ride isn't as impressive and kind of rough but oh god that launch!
  20. Onride POV of Travel Through Europe!! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] I think it looks like a Mack version of Kanonen somehow...
  21. Baby Coaster, a Wacky Worm knock-off
  22. Both trains look very cool! To me they don't look like new trains because arm room would be pretty awkward for a two across train. If they are new trains, Vekoma would more likely to leave more arm room.
  23. I'm most thankful for TPR, everyone and everything here are awesome! I'm thankful for Alan Schilke, Joe Draves, Werner Stengel and everyone behind the amazing projects. I'm thankful for my IAAPA experience for teaching me an important lesson. I'm thankful for Chimelong, you guys proved that Chinese amusement park/theme park still has a hope. I'm thankful for everyone in the industry I got to know this year, you guys taught me a lot.
