Why though? Why invent evil machines like this? -

^Probably not, only place I can think of that uses hydraulic system on an RMC train is the restraint and they certainly would not run the ride when the restraint cylinder is leaking oil (that would be very very bad) Probably just a component that applies grease to the wheels automatically, things get messy but nothing else really. -
Imagine how much of a mess the whole park would be like if Universal keeps pushing the virtual queue line system! Not to mention there are international guests that would have zero clue what is happening and no team member can properly explain to them how things work. I did enjoy Fallon queue line and the safety video though.

Most Overrated coaster?

^Did you ride it? -
Disney's communism in the capitalism world officially ended as capitalism in a communist country. But this is the right approach in China given how awfully crowded the park can get and from the slower operation due to the amount of clueless guests, I would buy the premium pass in a heartbeat. This is the flyer for the premium fast pass, sadly the CM I know didn't take a picture of the English section. It is available for Soarin', Roaring Rapids, TRON, Buzz Lightyear, Pooh, 7DMT and Peter Pan. One single ride costs ¥150 ($22) on peak days and ¥120 ($18) on regular days. And the package costs ¥600 ($88) on peak days and ¥480 ($71) on regular days. Very nice deal I would say given that the TRON fast pass was sold for ¥1400 ($206) at the black market.

Were you in the front or back car? I always felt the ride would be so much better if it ran single cars. 3rd row and 5th row, both times on train 7 and I judge myself for remembering that. Yeah maybe it would be a lot better if it ran single cars. The whole thing just felt like you're far away from the center of gravity on any direction. This plus the poor track work kind of ruined it for me. I did't hate Rock It or anything but I just felt like compared to Hollywood Dream in Japan, USO probably should have something of a higher standard.

I like Rock It for the layout and how unique some of the elements are. Airtime at the top of a non-inverting loop is something I've never experienced before. But when I rode it two weeks ago, it was bouncing laterally very hard during the entire ride course and it felt like those X-Cars are tearing the structure apart.

Robb & Elissa in Asia - 2016!

I miss Japan. *start sobbing* *grab ice cream* -
I don't have any issue with Spider-man as it is a very good balance between screens and actual sets. But once the entire ride's main focus is screens, it gets really annoying. Plus I don't like how every story line consist of roughly the same elements. And to be honest, 3D glasses isn't that necessary on lots of the rides. "Hey you shouldn't be here" Villains found you and tries to kill you Spray water on your face Villain make you fall over a cliff/edge of a building Hero saves you right before you hit the ground The end, you save the world even if you didn't do crap

Would be interesting to dig into the reasons why Space World failed. I was reading an article about why Mission Space at EPCOT was a bad attraction and the author pointed out that the outer space is not that unknown or fascinating anymore, it is where people send their cell phone signals to and Mission Space opened right at that transition time. Is Space World suffering and ultimately closing down because the theme park/amusement park market in Japan is so dominated by Disney and Universal that smaller parks are hard to survive plus the space theme no longer interests people? Or is there any other factors out there?

I'm good as long as they keep that powerful launch. Everything else is just extras that makes this coaster more perfect. Plus, since the original top hat is 171ft tall combined with all the trim brakes, this can possibly be the tallest vertical loop in the world! -

^ They can do that for sure. Since Dodonpa isn't the fastest coaster anymore, they can just keep the fastest acceleration title and cut a lot of costs by lowering the speed. Also this will be the first vertical loop that S&S has ever made! -
Going to parks alone?
gerstlaueringvar replied to alilstronger's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For amusement parks, I prefer going with friends and family. For theme parks, it's about half and half. When you treat a theme park as an art piece and want to really appreciate the details, going alone gives you the freedom to do everything at your own pace and I love doing that. But on the other hand, you don't get to share how you think about stuff when you're alone. -

Compared to other rides at PA, This seems like kind of a shallow name actually. But yeah still much better than Vertical Accelerator. -

I mean, a night ride at the front row of Beast is definitely incredible and I came back to the station clapping. But once I calmed my shit down, Outlaw Run and Voyage still have the better night rides. -
1. Fujiyama. This is my favorite hyper and I haven't heard of many people that like it. It is rough and all but it delivers one hell of a relentless and out of control ride! 2. Legend. The strong lateral at the helix is insane! 3. The Boss, love how aggressive it is. 4. Viper at SFMM, I've been on maybe 6 or 7 rougher B&M's out there. 5. Green Lantern at SFMM, I've ridden it 3 times only, but I enjoyed my ride every time. Maybe I'm the weird one.
