  1. ^Never been on a real one but this is pretty intense. It does swing a bit slower judging from the video.
  2. Oh thanks for popping this thread up. Here's an interesting update for those of you that cares, the Boomerang has been removed!
  3. That's even better, I feel like EPCOT is already a tiny bit too adult and this can balance it out. Not to mention it will be a food themed ride at one of the best places in the world to get food from.
  4. ^ It is most likely the peak acceleration value as compressed air gives more of a blast rather than a constant acceleration.

  9. Runaway Mine Train SFOT and Mini Mine Train SFOT.
  10. I feel like Ratatouille would make more sense than BatB because France pavilion is already a city-like area and Ratatouille would fit right in without the need of too much transition.
  11. Updated: Arkansas: Nothing, they are all bad. X Coaster hurts the least California: Twisted Colossus Florida: Mummy (best theme), Kumba (best coaster) Illinois: Goliath, still kind of meh Indiana: Legend Iowa: Monster Kentucky: Storm Chaser Michigan: Shivering Timbers Minnesota: Spongebob, haven't been to Valleyfair yet Missouri: Outlaw Run Ohio: Maverick Texas: Superman Krypton Coaster only because the two RMCs were closed Wisconsin: Cyclops International: China: Viper or Python in Bamboo Forest Hong Kong: Big Grizzly Mountain Japan: Dodonpa Malaysia: Euro Express
  12. I was going to shoot a POV but their loose article policy is strict. It's just like your typical drop track.
  13. ^ Yes, track work is at least decent now. But they still have issues that make their coasters not as good. For example, at the drop track, they didn't consider the front and back clearance, which means if you extend your arm beyond the train at the front and back row, you can touch the track if your arms are long enough. Which is very dangerous at a drop track.
  14. Yes, Mystic Manor uses wi-fi to control the vehicles (there's literally a router at the bottom of each vehicle, the kind you see everywhere in real life) I guess by newer version it means Pooh uses something older than wi-fi, IR if I recall correctly, to control the vehicles on which path to follow. For Mystic Manor, there are sensors embedded to the floor to control and tell the vehicles if they are at the right spot and those sensors are wired together to trigger special effects etc. But the vehicles don't follow the wire, they "collect" sensors like how Mario collects the mushrooms. They go towards a certain direction until they reach the next sensor and the next sensor tells the vehicle what to do such as go towards another direction, spin, or tilt (Ratatouille). Occasionally you see metal plates on the floor but those are for quick charging since the vehicles run on battery. The wifi control tells the vehicles which path to take and is responsible for E-stop, reset, adding/removing a vehicle, adding the accessible vehicle to the course, turns on/off all the vehicles etc. By the way, when the system is shut down, all the vehicles are scattered around the ride course, that's a fun view to see.
  15. True, but did they have to change one of, if not the most iconic scenes on the ride? Pirates is such an iconic ride, everything about is iconic IMO. Also, as you said, when one of the most iconic scenes of the most popular ride of Disneyland is about auctoning women, I don't think it's appropriate in the 2017 society.
  16. While I'm mad that political correctness is behind this, but just look at this as a new scene on Pirates! None of us has seen it yet and it most likely will be better than auctioning women. Plenty of awful things people did back then and they don't have to be included in Disneyland, plus Disneyland is always changing and never finished, that's what Walt wanted.
  17. What if the Trump animatronic is actually the barker outside calling people out in an offensive way? Or, use him in a way similar to how Iago ruins Enchanted Tiki Room, the normal show goes on for a while and thunder starts rolling, the Trump animatronic suddenly appears in the audience like the alien in Alien Encounter by reusing the teleportation chamber from Stitch. He then starts making comments, yelling at Obama and twitting stuff. And then the shield of the teleportation chamber closes and moved him to somewhere in EPCOT and the show ends. Make Hall of the Presidents a thrill ride while get rid of Stich's Great Escape!
  18. I would drive for 5 hours, find a hotel to spend the night, and then drive 4 hours in the morning to reach the destination.
  19. I haven't been on an S&S With those restraints but I sure wish they are light. With an insane launch like Dodonpa's, the sudden stapling combined wwith hydraulic restraint lock will make the whole ride very painful.
  20. Since I'm spending the summer in Nanning, I was able to visit Wanda Group's newest park, which is a medium size indoor park with a few rides that are supposed to represent Guangxi Province's culture, ok. By the way, I should be clear: When I was making the decision to check out this Golden Horse prototype 4-across seating mine train with drop track, I was not under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substances, I was not being held hostage or black mailed by any group or individual. Now move on to the park, it looks like just an average Wanda or Happy Valley park but indoors, most rides are pretty sketchy and only the Zamperla mini drop tower is not made by a Chinese manufacturer. They have a Back to the Future/Simpson style ride that I didn't care enough to remember the story line of, two water rides that weren't open yet, some catalogue family rides scattered around the park, a hot air balloon ride suspended from the ceiling, and the mine train. Now about the mine train, maybe my expectation was way too low, but when the train returned to the station COMPLETELY INTACT, I was pleasantly surprised. The ride is very well-done for a Chinese manufacturer, somewhere around the smoothness and intensity of SFFT's Road Runner Express. Now the main star is the drop track. I haven't been on Th13teen, Verbolten, Polar X-Plorer or Darkmare, but this one felt well-made with a great pop of airtime. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of this coaster. Unfortunately I was not able to film a video on it as they have a pretty strict loose article policy. Now move on to the few pictures I took: Exterior of the mall/park complex. Of course I went to McDonald's for dinner. This spread out turn looks a bit odd but the train passes at a rather high speed so it's not as bad when you see it in motion. Knock-off Mack seat? Phoenix with a hugh square ass. FOCUS! The Main Street that you ignore. The Back to the Future style dark ride that I didn't care about Look! Just like IKEA! The log flume that isn't quite ready for opening yet. But at least there weren't any animal swimming around! Track for the suspended hot air balloon ride plus a carousel that looks worse than my 4th grade art project. The ceiling is quite high, it feels quite impressive actually. Very weird train configuration, it's like two Euro Fighters connected together like X-Cars. Entrance of the station
  21. All GG woodies in China that run Timberliners have seat belts.
  22. It is actually quite easy to implement to existing rides, adding a Pulsar style turn table at one of the blocks, or a Disneyland Space Mountain accessible loading station would work.
  23. I've heard fantastic things about EuroSat, but this coaster probably has reached its end of service because I suppose back in 1989, nobody expected Europa Park would turn into such a huge thing and Mack didn't design the coaster to be put through the insane amount of cycles it does now. A new coaster designed to be more heavy-duty and have VR/whatever that will be hip in the future in mind will help a lot not to mention save the park a lot of money in the long run.
  24. If I understood a presentation I saw last year correctly, GCI builds one side of the track first and then build the other track by off-setting the existing track. The traditional method is building and adjusting both tracks together.
