Nope, this post does not deserve to be in this thread. Thanks for having my back. You see one B&M hyper get built, you've seen them all. *yawn*

^ Yea, it seems like the main problem is finding staff motivated enough to get through the cycle quick enough. It's definitely doable with only two people and a ride-op, but it seems as though everyone involved needs to be hustling and really on top of their game the entire time, something which not everyone is willing to do. I really wish the park would just staff more, at least on busier days, but that most likely won't be happening.

Operations on Zumanjaro are some of the best in the park. They really try to pump out the riders. Unfortunately, that does have a negative effect on Kingda Ka since it can only run trains while Zumanjaro isn't in a run cycle. While I think 2-3 trains every ten minutes is a bit of an exaggeration, it has had an impact on its capacity. I'd say that Ka can get roughly two trains sent in between each of Zumanjaro's cycles, which are about 1.5 minutes each.

^ You know what's a good tool to use when you need to remove larger amounts of water? Something bucket-like, something with a large handle so you don't have to bend as much, something like... a "dust pan thing". It's what we used to remove puddles that formed around the old McDonald's inside SFGAdv. Wanna know what else we did? When we've found a significant amount of small pieces of trash in the dirt/landscaping on the sides around the restaurant, rather than break our backs by bending down and picking up each straw wrapper or cigarette butt by hand we... *leans in close to whisper* SWEPT THE DIRT!!! We gently swept up the debris into our dustpans and dumped it into the garbage cans. Seriously, guys, this is getting embarrassingly bad, even for "theme park nerd" standards.

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

I think its location is one of the best things about it. It'll really help entice crowds back towards the end of the park again and spread everyone more evenly throughout, whereas now it's as though the vast majority seem to stick to the front half of the park. -

I haven't been able to watch it yet (on my list), but Paula, are you guys featured at all in that new Netflix documentary "I Am Santa Claus"? Figured it would be right up your guys' alley. -

^ I don't know why I didn't realize that this coaster is going to be providing a great straight-on view of the Charlotte skyline. -

I like the little topper that they made for Crow's Nest / Sparkler. Cute! It's the little things. -

Or it's very fitting considering the entire campaign behind Thunderbird was themed to the pilgrims' voyage across the Atlantic in the Mayflower and a crow's next is a section on the upper part of the main mast of a ship. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crow's_nest -
TOP 5 B&M INVERTED COASTERS
michaellynn4 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on ten (counting the clones separately), so screw it, like all good rebels without causes, here's them all ranked: 1: Afterburn 2: Montu 3: Raptor 4-6: Batman clones (SFGAdv, SFGAm, SFStL) 7: Talon 8: Dueling Dragons - Fire 9: Dueling Dragons - Ice 10: Great Bear -
I visited SFGAdv about 2-3 times a week in 2013 because I lived right next to the park. I would go for a couple hours after work during the week and try and get on as many rides as I could. I always tried to walk at a quick pace so it could double as my exercise for the day. I also went to Dorney about five times as well. This year, having moved closer to Philly for work (as well as picking up a second job for most of the year), my visits were more limited. I probably went in total 12-15 times to SFGAdv and didn't go to Dorney at all (didn't by a pass). I'm back down to one job again, so we'll see what next year brings.

The last new Coaster in your Count

Vortex @ Carowinds in July. Paaaaaaaainful, and took forever to load/unload even with an empty station. A couple night rides on Intimidator made up for it, though! -

I really like the color combo, but then again, I'm a sucker for anything yellow/teal. -

*Kills self* I never said Fury wouldn't be a fun ride, but we've seen plenty of B&M hyper coasters go up before. Been there, done that. *yawn* -

Fury 325 looks fun and all, but I have to be honest, I'm much more excited to follow the progress on the new entrance plaza. -
1. Streaming, by FAR. I rarely watch videos any other way now, though I will, when the planets align right, pop in the occasional DVD. 2. Netflix. Used to use Hulu a lot more, but now I pretty much use only Netflix. 3. None. IMO, buying them is such a waste of money. 4. No, though I've heard good things about Apple TV and do want to look into it? 5. About 50/50. I subscribe to a bunch of different YouTube channels and will "get lost in the hole", much like how it's so easy to spend so much time bouncing between different Wikipedia articles.

I know nothing has been officially released, but any rough idea on when you guys expect CGA to open for the 2015 season? I'm planning a trip to SF to visit my sister and want to try and incorporate SFDK and CGA into the visit. I tried finding old brochures to establish a trend, but wasn't having much luck and figured you guys would be able to help.

Today's Burning Question!
michaellynn4 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I usually lean more towards amusement parks with a larger ride selection rather than theme parks. Nothing against WDW, but if I had to pick, I'd definitely go with Cedar Point. -
The next coaster to be removed at SFGAdv is a lot harder to predict (now that Rolling Thunder is gone) because I just don't see them removing anything from their current lineup anytime soon. However, for the sake of discussion, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Dark Knight coaster. If they do end up doing an overhaul to Old Country to get that reopened again, I could potentially see this on the chopping block. However, that's still a bit of a longshot.
