  1. It was marketed as July 3rd. I don't think it's changed, but you never know with the park.
  2. Take a drink everyone. also we are at finish your drink by now. Sure theme parks make "mistakes" but I really don't get this thread. Ditto, Victor. This thread is lost on me. The vast majority in these aren't "mistakes", either.
  3. Are you or are you not allowed to tell us what it is? To everyone that is claiming I dont know, it has already been confirmed by multiple people i have asked. i am not aloud to say anything until they announce it (August or septemeber maybe) but i will say this. Two things: 1) It's spelled "allowed". 2) Those who know don't say anything. Those who say something don't actually know.
  4. TC has a 128ft drop, not 80. The angle is 80 degrees. WC is shorter in height than TC.
  5. ^ 12:32PM is an interesting time choice, too. I wonder if the numbers have anything to do with it. World's tallest coaster! 1,232 FEET TALL!!!
  6. I think those pieces were already scrapped.
  7. Great Chase. Seriously, I've never actively tried to make particular coasters a milestone coaster. Something so trivial just isn't worth even a nominal bit of effort. That's how I get Flying ACE Aerial Chase as my 100th and Great Chase (SFNE) as my 150th. It's more fun that way, just let it be whichever you happen to be by next!
  8. School down there starts back up mid-August, not early September like it does by us.
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing that, either, but the same "low-capacity" argument exists there, as well. Anytime.
  10. With a full queue, the wait was about 50-60 minutes. Anyone telling you two hours was exaggerating.
  11. Yea, the SFGAdv counterpart definitely benefits from a great location in the park. When I first visited SFNE, I almost forgot a Houdini copy was at the park, it's so far buried in the back of that section.
  12. ^Crowds would be moderate at worst, but probably will be more sparse. Most rides should have minimal waits (<15 min) throughout the day. Rain policy is pretty good, too, nothing like some parks (*eyes Cedar Point*). Things should remain open in rain up until it starts getting pretty heavy, and once threat of lightning is in the area, standard shutdowns occur. Unless severe thunderstorms are in the forecast throughout most of the day, Wednesdays should be pretty great days to visit!* *Assuming you're looking to go sooner rather than later. Crowds will obviously pick up as you get deeper into the summer season.
  13. Fake fake fakity fake fake fake. Park was pretty crowded today. Long lines on almost every attraction. #captainobvious
  14. Oh man, I forgot about "pocky". Haha, that was an awesome discussion.
  15. ^ Yesssss. I had no problems riding Bizarro last year (though my thighs would tell you differently), so this is great news. Thanks!
  16. How bad have "walks of shame" been on Wicked Cyclone? I'll be up there again the first week of August. For those who've been on both, I can fit on El Toro but pretty much always need an extra push. I'm exercising and dropping some weight, but depending on how forgiving the restraints will be, I'm a bit nervous it won't be enough in time for my visit.
  17. ^ With the amount of traction B:TR videos had among GP on social media this last year, I think it's safe to say that this would certainly bring a LOT of people to the park, even if it's not going to bring some jaded enthusiasts back. Not to imply you're "jaded" or anything, just using it as an all-encompassing adjective to cram us all into a stereotype.
  18. Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds say hello.
  19. Zoomerang is a "credit" coaster. Nothing more. But yea, I'd definitely say a LC stop is essential. However, it all depends on how many hours you can squeeze in on Saturday. If you only get about half of the day based on commute times, stopping back again in the morning would be wise. However, I'd recommend leaving mid-afternoon and head to LC. Admission after 5pm is about half-price. Park would close at 9pm, giving you four hours and a few night rides on BD.
  20. Man, this looks incredible. It harnesses into that inherent desire to "play pretend" in a child and delivers on such a grand scale. How inspiring!
  21. Exactly. That's basically what we did. It's how I snagged a couple rides in the first row - no wait!! We managed to get at least eight good rides before we went over to be by the ropes for when they dropped so we could get back to Laff Trakk.
