  1. Bizarro early in the day is pretty empty, but on the last two times I went to the park on a weekend this year it had a nearly-full queue midway through the day. I wouldn't bank on this coaster being under a 20-minute wait on a Saturday in July. But yes. Working clockwise is usually the best strategy for this park.
  2. Hell, there are plenty of people who won't even ride a wooden coaster, no matter how new it is. I can't tell you how many people I've overheard throughout the years avoiding El Toro for that very reason. I agree with Robb on this. As much as I may not like the idea of a "comfort collar", if that's what it would take for the coaster to be accessible to as much of BGW's target audience as possible, then so be it. The park is in the business to make money and please guests, not alienate them.
  3. Yes, and its called Flash Pass lol Not all of us are millionaires It's simple budgeting, dude. Not rocket science. I'll bet dollars to donuts that none of us are millionaires. If you really would prefer waiting an hour for everything on probably your only visit to the park this season, be my guest. Without Flash Pass, you'll probably be able to get done what you'd want to get done ("Safari, Toro, Batman, Kingda for sure, maybe Zumanjaro", but be prepared for that to be ALL you'll get done.
  4. I don't know why I didn't consider one of these coaster types when thinking about what could be added. Talk about a pleasant surprise! It's going to be exciting having one of these only a couple hours away.
  5. Mega Man interactive dark ride. Guns are designed like the character's arm cannon and worn over the hand with triggers inside. Squeezing and holding the trigger would build up your power and allow for a super-charged blast, like in the games. Found this online to illustrate how it could be done:
  6. Maybe this travesty of a coaster will get dumped on Michigan's Adventure instead. Of course the scrap pile trumps all of these options...
  7. The only reason I would say pick Six Flags America is if you really really really really wanted the credits. However you would hands down have a better time at Great Adventure.
  8. It still closes early, yes. I don't think wait times approach three hours much anymore, but it is still very busy throughout the day. If visiting the Safari is one of your main goals, try to make it your first attraction early in the morning.
  9. Ditto on riding more. Our department at work is split with an office in San Antonio, so I'm working on selling a work-related trip to my boss so I can get to at least SFFT for I-Rat, if not also SFOT for NTAG.
  10. It'll change early next month when I head up to SFNE!
  11. ^ If we're gonna go down that road, then throw Bizzaro's sudden stop right before the station.
  12. For me it's: ... ... ... ...none yet.
  13. The only ones I know of are directly outside of the main entrance gates on the right-hand side. Everything else in the park is "single-rider" design. It's actually not not that bad of a location (centralized), but it can be a bit of a pain to have to go through the hand-stamp entrance multiple times should you need to access it throughout the day. Unless it's something important that you would need to access at some point in the day and really can't carry it around with you, just leave it in the car.
  14. My girlfriend, brother, and a few friends went to the park last night (I couldn't make it due to work). They all raved about Namtab - said it was a really great twist on a classic. I'm excited to try it out myself soon!
  15. Without getting further into speculation (because some of it it's starting to border on ridiculous at this point), I think I'm most excited for this, too. Is going to be interesting seeing the new open view past where the stadium is used to be. I'm a big fan of openness.
  16. Haha, very true! I wish I spent more time riding it during my visit! Unfortunately, one-train operations and an ever-growing line prevented that.
  17. When I visited in 2013, ride ops on Diamondback were really pumping people through. I only saw double stacking twice during a full queue line, and both times were for walks of shame. However, I've also seen Nitro @ SFGAdv go from being a capacity leader to being an operational joke in the span of a couple years, so it's totally believable that DB has suffered a similar fate. It's a shame.
  18. It's already been said, but El Toro's RT hill. It really catches you off guard the first time you ride it. The double down at the end of Phantom's Revenge is a big surprise, too.
  19. Haha, great minds, Paula! In all seriousness, I imagine it must be bittersweet having to actually have to do that.
  20. - Skyrush's quick turns trying to buck you off the ride - El Toro's RT hill - I305's first curve - TTD/KK launch - Beast in the right conditions (rain, night, minimal trims)
