  1. It's going to revitalize the Lakefront and do so with minimal tree removal. I think it's an ideal fit. I'm even happy they're not trying to shoehorn some dumb theme to it, keeping it Cedar Fair-style. Now I'm just excited to hear about anything else that's planned.
  2. To be honest, El Diablo is a lot more fun than most jaded SFGAdv fanboys would let on. It'd be a nice addition to the flat ride collection there.
  3. This is all I see reading some of this thread:
  4. *chants* Super Loop, Super Loop, Super Loop... Damn, dude, really? Yea, Zach's a bit more pessimistic for my taste, but I think he's actually calmed down a lot in the last few months. Besides, he posts salient arguments: based on what HE looks for in parks, SFStL hasn't delivered. And I don't think that what he's looking for is incredibly unrealistic like I sometimes see from other enthusiasts.
  5. I'm buying that video as legit. It's close enough that someone could've leaked it, and the quality matches. Im psyched even if others may not be. EDIT: ^^ You mean the same mistake that most enthusiasts have, based on the evidence from past discussions on this very website? Besides, this is the same company that marketed super loops as roller coasters, so I wouldn't put it too far past them to list this as a free fly. Honestly though, does it matter?
  6. These are coming down a lot quicker than I thought they would. Now please excuse me as I go laugh at the expense of The remaining few who were clinging onto the hope that the stadium would remain intact and are probably now yelling/crying over "yet another example of them pissing on the park's history".
  7. Now that I don't live down the street anymore I don't really stay until closing much, but I remember getting a really cool supervisor who decided to let us, the last train on El Toro, ride twice. It was really fun being part of that crowd.
  8. I totally agree. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for lights (I even like my car dashboard to be well-lit with lots of things all over it). I always had a soft-spot for places with the boardwalk vibe, and Morey's just takes the cake IMO. For a coaster, Lightning Racer has a great classic "running light) appearance, too.
  9. ^ You live in the modern-day United States. We're all a bunch of loud, obnoxious, insufferable d-bags who happen to also be self-entitled pricks.
  10. Could locals or anyone with September visits under their belts let me know what they think crowds would be like the weekend of the 12th? I might be planning a visit but am unsure if it'll be busy. I might just wait until next year.
  11. You mean the greatest goddamn flat ride in the history of mankind? Yeah. I'm still pissed it disappeared one year. That thing was wicked as hell. Haha, yea I agree. When I visited SFStL in 2013 I made it a point to ride it. The nostalgia, I FELT IT!
  12. ^ Looks awesome! The background features of the picture really help establish the scale of the models, too. I'm seriously considering one for my desk at work.
  13. ^ Haha, most likely true. It's not laziness; it's a warning to others.
  14. The picture was a fake, yes, but the blue rumor originated before the picture came out. I'm still holding out hope. Probably a bit futile at the moment, though.
  15. ^ Remember, SFGAdv had both kinds of rides for a couple years, too. In fact, Excalibur was originally at SFGADv before it was relocated to SFStL. Our "Frisbee"-style ride is now at SFGAm.
  16. I spy one of the other park's new ride for 2016!! #fivebucksitsSFSTL
  17. I smell a new licensing agreement! Bob the Builder: the Ride.
  18. It's not just height. I'm 6'0 but have very broad shoulders. The restraints come down and squeeze my shoulders together, causing a great deal of pain before I even leave the station. Honestly, SLCs are awful. Just awful.
