  1. B&M Hypers should have one seat without any restraints, and anyone that says B&M coasters are forceless or "lacking airtime" would be forced to sit in it. It would make these enthusiast boards much more pleasant. You would still float out of your seat. Because if my size, I occasionally have an (irrational) thought of a restraint popping open while mid-ride. Whenever this thought crosses my mind on Nitro, it doesn't even phase me.
  2. I was there with my brother today, too. Almost ran into Boldikus, but alas, fate intervened. I ended up getting a waffle from his recommendation, but since my brother cannot stand bananas, we got the La Choco-berry. It was very good, but pricey - I don't think I'd order it again. OMFG was it cold. Nitro and SkyScreamer were almost unbearable as a result. It kept us to one ride on Nitro even though there was barely a station wait. Wasn't as bad while on Superman, but it was still pretty cold.
  3. ^ It's really just a whole lot of "takingthesethingswaytooseriously"-itis.
  4. Buying new, current games are too expensive for me. I usually wait a couple years and buy something used for $15. As a result, right now I'm playing career mode of MLB: The Show 2014. Just started my fifth year, and first as the starting center fielder for the Phillies (who suck in my game, too). Once I get bored of it I'm moving onto South Park: Stick of Truth.
  5. Oh cool!! Awesome idea!! Any chance of making it a working model?
  6. ^ Yea, I think this thread can easily be broken up into two categories: those who have ridden IW / Apocalypse and those who haven't. Even by B&M stand-up standards it's pretty awful.
  7. I normally don't like picking favorites, and I think ranking coasters is a waste of time (at least for me since it's honestly so subjective). However, I do have a favorite steel and wood. - Steel: Skyrush - Wood: El Toro
  8. Iron Wolf / Apocalypse. Effing terrible.
  9. I glanced at the leftover tickets I have for PCC in my glove compartment last night and thought of this new addition. Can't wait to use them next year!
  10. After riding SkyScreamer, I noticed a lot more footers placed. I'll try to get a picture later.
  11. At the park now, in line for SkyScreamer. There are pretty healthy crowds, decent lines on all rides.
  12. Where: Six Flags New England When: June 2014 I rode the Great Chase coaster, which if you don't know is the resident kiddie coaster. It was during the middle of the day, so there was a healthy crowd of kids with their parents. Rikki decided to pass (smart girl), so I got in line with all of these kids and strangers. The ride op, for some reason, decided he wanted to squeeze me in with some random kid, much to the horrified look of his mother. I'll never forget feeling as lowly as I did at that moment. I swore to myself then that I was going to stop giving so much crap about credits and counting. I still count, but it doesn't dictate how I decide to spend my ride time; if I don't get all of the credits in a park because I feel like riding their marquee attraction again instead, so be it. I'll still (occasionally) ride kiddie coasters, but ONLY if there's absolutely no line, and preferably if I'm with people (the TPR videos of weighing down wacky worms come to mind). If I do happen to ride one, usually "I'm such a loser I'm such a loser I'm such a loser" is repeating in my mind throughout the ride. At the end of the day, it's about having fun, not stressing out if I only have twenty minutes to squeeze my fat ass on four separate wacky worms and wild mouses. A close second would be any time I needed to do the "walk of shame". It's only happened a couple times in my life, but the first two times it happened (Dorney, 2013), it happened on consecutive rides. I felt pretty crappy after that, too.
  13. ^^ That looks awesome! I hope I'm able to make it out next year to ride it!
  14. My 2013 trip was a lot of fun (aside from learning right before heading to Cedar Point that my now ex-fiance was cheating on me...but that's another story): Hersheypark -> Kennywood -> Kings Island -> Holiday World -> SFStL -> SFGAm -> Cedar Point -> impromptu stop at Dorney on way home. I think there's something inherently romantic (ironic, right?) about doing a road trip across a part of America, so I'm always in favor of just taking the car out and driving.
  15. The construction on El Diablo at SFGAdv didn't start until late March, so I wouldn't expect much progress until the spring. These super loops only take a couple weeks to complete.
  16. Man, it's crazy to imagine a company big enough where STAR WARS would be one of their "lower end" franchises, but yea, I guess you're right.
  17. Awesome update! Thanks for the insight.
  18. Guys, guys, guys, hear me out. What if.... Six Flags could use Donald Duck??
  19. You're talking about my two favorite coasters here, so it's like picking your favorite child. If I had to choose, El Toro's RT hill, but it's close.
  20. Just turned 30 on November 3rd. First coaster was (I think) Runaway Mine Train @ SFGAdv, but I could have very wall been put on some random POS Dragon kiddie coaster at Keansburg before that.
  21. All right, that does look impressive.
  22. Jim Reid-Anderson is in the park today. People are posting photos with him on Facebook.
  23. As much as I enjoyed Chiller over the years, I wish that they had just added a third copy of Mr Freeze instead. It'd probably be continuing on strong to this day.
