Although it's still early, the announced closure date is in line with previously-used timelines for past Six Flags RMC conversions like Joker, Wicked Cyclone, and Medusa. Assuming there aren't any unforeseen delays, I'd bet we'd see the coaster open to the public by the normal late-spring/early summer period we're accustom to from Six Flags.

Six Flags started doing the current "new addition" strategy strategy back in 2013. Each time something was added to SFGAdv's Hurricane Harbor, it came alongside the standard main park addition: - 2013: New Safari / Racing slide complex - 2016: Joker / Water play complex If something were to be added to the water park, odds are the main park will still receive something.

That's a real shame because that seemed to be an excellent fit for the park. Hopefully they can come up with something even better. -

Looks like there may be some plausibility to that "28ft taller" thing... -
Oh I love Funplex. I've been to a bunch of parties there over the last few years, including my uncle's 50th birthday party. It's been flourishing, too, having expanded greatly over that period. It seems every time I go they have some new addition. I still have a bunch of unused game cards burning holes in my wallet. Let me jump on the Thank You Train for confirming everything I believed about Clemention Park, too. Having lived in Cherry Hill for the last three years, I was always a little tempted to take the quick drive over to the park but was always turned off by the reviews. Even with the discounts available, it never seemed worth it. At this point, I'll only go with other enthusiasts so we can have a blast making fun of how laughably bad our experience will be. Excellent report, so far!!

It looks like you had fun, so I'm glad for that. A few comments / notes, though: It's 12MPH because it's sponsored by News 12, a NJ news station. I can't tell by your comments if you're serious or not, but that's Allentown, NJ (where I went to high school), not Allentown, PA. Dorney is actually about 90 minutes away from that point. Don't feel like you need to include every last photo. You have a bunch of duplicate photos in there and ones that are so blurry you can't even see what they're of. I always edit through my photos and keep only what I want to upload before I begin a report. Also, feel free to use one of these when taking photos as well: -

If at all possible, I'd recommend riding the alpine coasters after dark. I had a blast on Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster at night, and when Robb came out with his POV video of it a few months later (the one with the REALLY long unedited lift hill), it didn't seem as impressive to me in the daylight. The darkness and runner lights really help amplify the experience. -

Having been on its "big brother" Untamed at Canobie Lake Park, I can resolutely say the lap bars help elevate the ride substantially. Untamed was fun, but there's nothing like riding hands-up through a zero-G roll with just a lap bar holding you in. I've got a bunch of photos on my phone I've been meaning to upload, maybe I'll do it tonight.

^ I don't think so, that's pretty tightly wrapped onto that one tower. "There is light at the end of the tunnel" most likely refers to the sudden burst of sunlight once you emerge from an enclosed water slide tube. My bet is on a new slide complex over by Roller Soaker's old station. -
I still don't understand why that path is not opened up! Its simple really. There is nothing for you to buy along that path. Sure, they could add a few booths/kiosks but why bother when they can make you walk through the boardwalk with its endless plethora of mediocre food and crappy games? This is likely the same reason they aren't opening the Old Country path when JLBFM opens - they'll send us around through Movietown since there is stuff to buy there. Six Flags decided to not maximize profits today and the path was open through the "old" Old Country when I was leaving Justice League around 12:30PM. The path was not open when I arrived at the park at 11:30. All I did at the park today was ride Battle for Metropolis 4 times and grab a buffalo chicken cheesesteak. I was a relaxing 75 minutes in the park. That's interesting, because when my brother and I showed up to the park around 7:30PM for a spontaneous visit, the Old Country path was closed again. I guess they keep it open for peak hours then. EDIT: Pay no attention to me, I went back and actually read boldikus's post.

I'm curious if their raft was over the weight limit. His Facebook comment (once you get past all of the spelling and grammar errors) indicates his younger brother and sister-in-law were in the raft as well. The weight limit on Tornado at SFGAdv is 700lbs, so assuming a similar weight limit, if the combined weight in that raft exceeded it significantly enough, it would get more height and be prone to tipping over.
