  1. Probably Walibi Holland, but it might be Toverland, too. Will have to figure that out soon, we fly out tomorrow evening!!
  2. Nice pics!! Did you eat at Uncle Lou's Fried Chicken down the road from Graceland? Easily the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life.
  3. I was thrown by the old photos for a bit until I went back and re-read the beginning haha. I got to the construction photo of Kingda Ka and then the old Rotor and was like waaaaait a minute. Nice walk down memory lane for me!
  4. ^ Yea, Bert's right. Kings Dominion is a great park, even without Volcano, and if you choose to visit it you will have a great time. Personally, I feel Hersheypark edges it out due to the more rounded experience (including Chocolate World), so I'll always recommend that more, but it's up to you.
  5. Loved your Alton Towers update! We'll be there in a few weeks so it served as a nice preview and was very helpful to me! Glad you had a great time!
  6. Calling all locals! I'm in the final stages of planning our honeymoon to the Netherlands and have been looking for any coupons or discount ticket opportunities for Toverland. I see I can save 2.50 Euro by purchasing online, but haven't had much other luck online and wanted to check with you all first to see if there are better options before pulling the trigger. Any help would be appreciated! Bedankt!
  7. DUDE! I've had the exact same thought! Rikki and I both love this park and I've fantasized about retiring there and working at the park as an old man, running some flat ride, telling old man / dad jokes and being that corny old person.
  8. ^ Really love the colors on that thing!
  9. I was over in the area again for my bachelor party on Saturday. We spent some time at IBG, and I have to agree that it seems like a hugely popular addition to the area. It's impressive how expansive the place is, and there's a decent variety of things to do depending on personal preference (indoor vs outdoor, regular seating vs large scale board games). I think that anyone who chooses to see the sites in the historic district should make this place a mandatory part of the itinerary going forward.
  10. Add Texas to that list now!
  11. ^^ Ummm, that's pretty much the opposite of how it's supposed to work, Alex Jones. Find the evidence to SUPPORT the rumors, then you'll have more buy-in. It doesn't work the other way around.
  12. This thread combines three of my favorite things in like - history, cats, and coasters. Very entertaining and well-written, to boot! Tajah is adorable! Can't wait to read more!!
  13. Awesome photos!! Rikki and I drove past that after running a couple errands in the city, but unfortunately couldn't make time to stop over and check it out. Looks like we missed out!
  14. Only just finally got caught up. AMAZING report!! We've never been big Disney people ourselves, but we've thought about doing one Disney trip before we have kids, and your report just further sells us on the need. It also further cements in the fact that my aunt is a tech idiot and couldn't wrap her mind around a simple fastpass system, so all her bitching about the system is unfounded (though personally I already thought it was).
  15. I am SO pumped to be able to see all of this in person in August! This looks great!
  16. This is ambitious, but doable. So long as you stay cognizant of your time, you should have a blast. Looking forward to seeing more!
  17. It is — my apologies. I usually run all images through a desaturation filter. It's pretty bright in person. Yeaaa, on second glance, I don't see how I didn't see there was a filter on that photo. My bad, carry on.
  18. ^ Yup, me too, and that was its first year of operation. I don't think I've seen a wait longer than a couple ride cycles since then. Save the pass for Kingda Ka or Superman, both of which can be slow-moving depending on operations.
  19. ^ Yep, only good Monday through Friday, but if you buy the wristband online, you save $5 ($49 -> $44).
  20. I like the color scheme, too, but does anyone think that it already looks faded? I'm sure it's not, but knowing how paint fades at this park due to the elements, maybe they should've chosen a slightly darker color scheme?
  21. That's a real shame to hear you all had such a less-than-satisfying experience. USJ has been very high on our priority list whenever we discuss a proposed Japan trip (especially since Flying Dinosaur opened), but we may have to reconsider. Especially when the alternative is one more day for Tokyo Disney!
