  1. ^^ and ^^^ Exactly. A B&M Wing rider is supposed to create a smooth, flying experience with graceful inversions and comfortable transitions. It isn't designed to kick your butt every time you ride it. Plus, with those wide, heavy trains, how the heck would you be able to create snappy corkscrews, extra-tight turns, quick zero-g rolls, etc.?
  2. I'm a little curious....how does B&M lift their Inverts and Flyers off the tracks while in storage?
  3. Granted, but it's a Scream/Medusa clone that is placed in KI's parking lot and called Lot Hawk. I wish SFMM would re-theme Scream and add landscaping underneath it!
  4. 1. Spanish 1 2. Advanced Algebra 2 3. Careers/Health (Careers this semester, Health next) 4. CP Biology 5. Wind Ensemble 1 (concert band) 6. PE 7. Advanced English 9
  5. I'm a little behind on the NL2 discussion, but I just watched that video and it looks amazing! This may have been brought up before, but will this run on Mac? I only own Macs, and I *need* this game!
  6. ^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't adding a spine and fewer supports cheaper than have more supports and no spine?
  7. ^ Yeah, Maverick's harnesses are quite uncomfortable on those s-curves. If it had I305 restraints, it would be my #1 coaster, but those thin bars on the harness are the only thing preventing that! Back on topic, I've been on TTD but not KK. I found TTD pretty over-hyped for what it was. I felt it was too short, and it ended before you could even perceive that the ride started. I prefer Xcelerator to it because, even though the figure eight is pretty boring, it at least gives the ride some more length and more time to enjoy the ride.
  8. All at Knott's Berry Farm: I would repaint Silver Bullet's lift hill so it is the same color as the rest of the ride. All red is just....blah! Give Boomerang some new trains. Could potentially be a decent ride with comfortable trains. Add topper track to Ghost Rider and THAT'S IT. Keep the trains, layout, and everything; just add topper track (and maybe turn off the MCBR, but doesn't that count as 2?).
  9. Nothing yet for December, but for November it was Full Throttle at SFMM.
  10. I give the dates for a time reference of where the park is in the season, but the 2013s were a complete mistake! I started off with the correct years but I guess my last few dates had 2013. Thanks for pointing that out! EDIT: I fixed all the dates to the correct year.
  11. 9 September 1976 Hi, everybody! Seaside Spot Theme Park's 1976 season is coming to a close, and Parachute Plunge was a huge hit among guests this Summer! However, not only did we see Parachute Plunge this season, but some park improvements were made after Spring Break that were present this past Summer season! The park's food court was upgraded to a more modern look, and some multi-color roses were planted around the perimeter. A new section that sells dessert treats such as ice cream, cookies, and cotton candy was added in place of the previous shopping stalls. Here is where the new shopping area is located. As you can see, it is located right along the shoreline! Overall, Seaside Spot Theme Park had a successful second season with the addition of Parachute Plunge, the seating area, and the food court/shopping stall improvements. We look forward to 1977! And I will leave you with this. I am just going to point out that there is some open land over here...
  12. Can't wait for this to open! My family heads up to Utah for the Winter every year over New Years & early January, and we drive right through Vegas every time; I REALLY hope this is open by then! Looks like quite the ride.
  13. Mine may not be too accurate; I've only been to two Cedar Fairs, one Six Flags, five Disneys (if you count Disney World as four) and one Merlin. Cedar Fair: Millennium Force (CP) Six Flags: Full Throttle (SFMM) Disney: Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom) Merlin: Technic Coaster (Legoland CA)
  14. My family is making a trip up to Cedar Point and Kings Island next Summer. We haven't been to Cedar Point since 2012, and we haven't been to Kings Island at all, so we have 3 new B&M credits to look forward to (Gatekeeper, Banshee, & Diamondback) plus all the goodies like Millennium, Top Thrill, Maverick, Beast, Flight of Fear, Firehawk, etc.
  15. I've only been on two B&M ones: Riddler and Mantis. I'm probably in the minority, but I like Mantis more. I didn't have a problem at all with head-banging or rattle, but Riddler beats the crud out of me every time I ride it. I've never been a fan of stand-ups in general though.
  16. 6 April 1976 Hello, everyone! Parachute Plunge and the new, shaded seating area is now open to the public! Parachute Plunge sure is a hit among our guests this Spring Break, and its 115-foot-tall structure has definitely changed the skyline of Seaside Spot Theme Park. Its location on the shore of the Pacific gives an astonishing view of the Malibu area as well as the Pacific Ocean. We are looking toward a successful 1976 season, and it is already shaping up to be so. Here are some pictures from opening day yesterday! Families enjoying their 115-foot adventure on Parachute Plunge Parachute Plunge and its newly-opened area is located just to the right of the main midway. The trees that were planted last January are now fully-grown and are providing shade for the new seating area located adjacent to Parachute Plunge. Aside from the new area, Force seems to be quite popular today! Lumber Run's queue is filled with families waiting to ride! Big Dipper's has been sending out full trains today! Lots of guests are here for Spring Break! Guests enjoying their spin on Seaside Swings Seaside Spot Theme Park is having a very successful Spring Break and start of the 1976 season!
  17. So it turns out that the Premier track we saw coming through Vegas/California *is* for Holiday Park!
  18. For some reason I really like Lightning Run's front car. http://rcdb.com/7982.htm?p=48904
  19. 10 January 1976 Hello, everybody! Today is the big day! We at Seaside Spot Theme Park are announcing our new attraction for the 1976 season! Are you ready? Seaside Spot Theme Park is proud to announce Parachute Plunge! Parachute Plunge will lift you up 115 feet in the air before dropping you down to the ground, providing a bird's-eye view of Seaside Spot Theme Park and the surrounding area. This attraction will combine the experience of an observation tower and a family free fall ride! Parachute Plunge will now become the tallest attraction at Seaside Spot Theme Park, beating out the park's Big Dipper roller coaster by 39 feet! In addition to Parachute Plunge, we are also adding a shaded seating area adjacent to the ride for those who may not have the guts to ride or just want to relax after a long day! Either way, Parachute Plunge and its new seating area is expected to open in April 1976, just in time for Spring Break! Construction is already well under-way for this new attraction and area. We look forward to the finished product this Spring for all of our guests to enjoy. Here is concept art of Parachute Plunge! The large concrete footer for Parachute Plunge is now in place. Notice its location right along the shoreline! The trees for the new seating area have been planted! This is where guests will enter the new area--the right side of the main midway. Here is an overview of the new area. We look forward to this Spring for the opening of Parachute Plunge!
  20. As a matter of fact, ever since I created the park, I always had a thought of enclosing the food court in a large glass building, but I wanted some feedback before doing that, so thank you! I wanted to make sure I included a variety of trees and vegetation in this park, but I guess I completely neglected my little bush borders! I'll see what I can come up with after the 1976 announcement and update (which is actually finished in the park, but probably won't be posted until sometime tomorrow). Thank you for your advice! And I actually have a question myself: this is my first story park, so what do you recommend my speed in which I move the story along? I don't want to update too often but I want to keep the story moving and keep people interested at the same time. Any suggestions? Feel free to PM me.
  21. ^ I tested what you said on one of my not-so-good parks and I for some reason couldn't get it to work. Would you mind sending me a PM in a little more detail? I'd love to change the background to a city as I feel it suits the Malibu location more. I would really appreciate it! Anyway, here we go. 13 November 1975 Hello, again! Land clearing has begun for Seaside Spot Theme Park's new attraction for the 1976 season! Its first season this Summer was very successful, and we look forward to many more in the coming years! While I can't tell you what's IN THE AIR yet, the news will be released very soon about this BIG attraction. For now, here are some photos of the land clearing currently taking place. Here is an overview of the land clearing. A view of the land from the back of the park near Big Dipper As you can see, the new attraction will be right along the Pacific! Here is the land from the guests' point-of-view; it is surely going to change the current skyline of Seaside Spot Theme Park! What do you think it will be?
  22. I will not use any CS in this park. I mentioned that in my original post. I feel too many parks are using CS, and while it looks great, after a while it hardly looks like RCT3 anymore. I believe I can have a very successful (and themed) park in RCT3's purest form.
  23. ^ Agreed. With some Mexican theming it could be quite successful. And with Cedar Fair buying from Zamperla this year with Cedar Point and Valleyfair's Diskos, I wouldn't be surprised if they purchased an Air Race or two for Knott's and maybe another park in need of a new thrill ride.
  24. 22 May 1975 Hello! I am Nathan Lamore, the owner and general manager of the newly-developed Malibu theme park, Seaside Spot Theme Park. Work has been underway for the new seaside park along the coast of the Pacific Ocean for the last 18 months, and after an anxious wait, Seaside Spot Theme Park is now open to the public! SSTP had its grand opening with 4 rides! -Force--a Schwarzkopf Enterprise thrill ride that spins you and 15 other passengers in vertical loops! -Lumber Run--a Miler roller coaster with dips, hills, and turns for the whole family to enjoy! -Seaside Swings--a Chance Yo-Yo that swings 36 passengers around in the air, giving a 360-degree view of Seaside Spot Theme Park and the Pacific Ocean -Big Dipper--SSTP's main attraction: a 76-foot-tall PTC wooden coaster with 1,388 feet of drops and turns right along the Pacific Ocean! (Out of character, I would like to point out a few things before you get to the photos: -I am not using ANY CSOs for this park. I run an iMac and have trouble installing CSOs, CTRs, and CFRs, so I am using purely RCT3 Platinum. -This is my first story park, so please give me a bunch of constructive criticism! I would REALLY appreciate your advice! -I understand this is a park that is located on the Pacific Ocean and there are mountains in the background of the lake; this is in Sandbox Mode so I cannot change that background, so just pretend there are no mountains and it is just more water! -EDIT: I would also like to add that I completely forgot restrooms in this update, so I will casually place then by the next one! Thank you, and again, please give me some criticism! I VERY much appreciate it! Now on to some photos.) An overview of Seaside Spot Theme Park The park's outdoor food court is right next to the entrance. A variety of food, drinks, and souvenirs are offered along with a small seating area. This is Lumber Run, the Miler family coaster located right at the park entrance. The star attraction, Big Dipper, traveling up the towering 76-foot lift Seaside Swings and Lumber Run in the background, with Force in the foreground The Pacific Ocean backdrop is what makes Seaside Spot Theme Park unique. Seaside Spot Theme Park offers lots of shade while strolling along the wide, open paths. Big Dipper is very popular on opening day; it is a wonderful wooden coaster that we love watching our guests enjoy! As you can see, Seaside Spot Theme Park has lots of room for expansion; we are looking toward a BIG future! And your mouths are going to DROP when you see what we are planning for 1976... One last view of Seaside Spot Theme Park and the surrounding area
  25. It would--except for the fact that there is a Chance version of the ride about 100 yards away. But then again, Leviathan.....
