Based on observations from previous years, the 2015 plans will be announced sooner than 3 weeks from now. The 2013 announcement was on Nov. 1, 2012, and the 2014 announcement was on Nov. 22, 2013. If I had to take a guess, I would say in the next 7-10 days--Thanksgiving at the absolute latest (assuming they follow their pattern). Since it's pretty much confirmed at this point to be a dark ride, anyone else think that Knott's will add something else in 2015? They did 2 projects simultaneously both in 2013 and 2014. Fingers crossed for a new flat! Fanboyism over.

I've been on every single ride/attraction at Knott's except for the High Sierra Ferris Wheel and the new Kite Flyer. But I guess that's an "almost". I've been on every flat ride at SFMM.

I am not a fan of stand-ups. When you have 28-degree scoliosis and significantly uneven leg lengths, it's anything but comfortable. I did not particularly enjoy Riddler or Mantis.

Your marching band season is already over? That's a little surprising. We still have 2 competitions left, then championships on Nov 22nd. Stinks to hear you didn't make it to state finals During the off-season, I'll be visiting Knott's and Six Flags occasionally. Going to Disneyland with my band program on Dec 5th. I'm definitely occupied. One of the benefits of living in SoCal!

Marching band rehearsal for Tuesday AND Friday got cancelled! And we won 1st place in the 5A class for our first competition last week!

They both have Intamin hydraulic launch coasters. La Ronde and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

For positive Gs, Montezooma's loop in the back car. For negative, Maverick's two airtime hills, and for acceleration, Xcelerator's launch.

The only roller coaster that I can think of that I rode in 1999 is Invertigo at KI. There's gotta be more...but for now, I'm gonna say Inverigo.

It could be for any Cedar Fair park, but given that Knott's is the only decent-sized CF park that hasn't announced its plans yet, it seems plausible.

GHOST RIDER! Make the track smoother and turn off the MCBR trims and it will easily be my #1 woodie and probably my top 5-10 overall. But it's hiding in it's own shadow! Come on, Ghost Rider, be the person you once were 15 years ago...before I was alive!

Cedar Fair has filed a trademark for the name "Voyage to the Iron Reef". http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2014/10/cedar-fair-files-very-interesting-new.html?m=1 Could this be the name of Knott's possible new dark ride? After all, it's right near the Boardwalk, so the name fits well. Thoughts?

Millennium Force--Cedar Point

Millennium Force in the back row. You just float...freefall. And with that tiny little yellow lap bar, it's great! Diamondback in the back row is #2.

This. It's possible to build a new coaster and make it fit in nicely. I've heard that CF has been eyeing Lightning Run at KK...I think a ride like that could work very well at Knott's.

After visiting Cedar Point and Kings Island this last summer, it looks like I'm stuck with SFMM (Twisted Colossus!) and of course, Knott's (dark ride sounds cool) for next year.

I don't know where else to post this, but I think we've hit a new low. Manhattan Express aka "Roller Coaster" is now called the Big Apple Coaster. http://rcdb.com/139.htm I thought "Roller Coaster" was a bad name, but this one...wow.
