If there is a drop of rain, Superman will be closed for the rest of the day. Full Throttle closes during rain but will reopen once the rain stops. Lex Luther Drop of Doom is also currently closed for scheduled maintenance. Other than that, all attractions (outside of Roaring Rapids and Tidal Wave) should be operating. If it's windy, X2 will be closed.

The new security checkpoints actually didn't have a line the whole day yesterday. Neither did getting into either park. Parking was a mess, and so was once you were in the parks. But that's to be expected around Christmastime. It's not like the parks are like this all the time. Just last week when I was in the parks, nothing had more than a 45 min wait, and most were 15 or less (even big rides like Indiana Jones) all day. I wouldn't let this discourage you from visiting especially if it's just DCA. Just take advantage of Fastpasses and you will do everything in that park, even if it's at capacity.

Wow so you have to go through security just to get into Downtown Disney? That seems like it'd be...inconvenient. Is this going to be located over by the ESPN Zone?? Yes. It's near there and there's another over by the Disneyland Hotel. For guests in the parking structure, there is a checkpoint before getting on the trams.

I usually just go in the park on the weekends to walk around and ride the coasters during the week. With that, the Knott's app usually shows 1 hr 30 min to 2 hours for Ghostrider and approx 30 - 60 min for Xcelerator, Silver Bullet and most of the other popular coasters. Ghostrider, even with two trains, still only pulls about 400 to 500 people per hour so the line doesn't move fast. Why is the capacity so low? It seems like it would be almost double that.

I was fortunate enough to win my way into Cars Land media day. It was honestly so fun! The Racers were 20-30 minutes all day and everything else in Cars Land was 10 min or less. Not to mention, the entire rest of the park was open for those inside for Cars Land media day. My family got a whole TOT elevator to ourselves and I got an entire Screamin train to myself. You could also just stay Toy Story Mania and keep going. Best day ever!

They've only been running two shafts on Tower of Terror for the past couple months, which is why wait times have been so high and Fastpasses have sold out so quickly. Over the past weekend, they started running 3 shafts again and the Fastpasses have started lasting longer, well into the afternoon (to almost 4pm today) and the standby line ranged from 13-30 minutes during the day. We went on Late Checkout (begins at 6pm daily, no FP offered) and the outdoor queue was 90% filled and we were in our elevator in 22 minutes. It's not bad at all now that all three shafts are back running.

Six Flags Magic Mountain - 10 minutes Universal Studios Hollywood - 30 minutes Knott's Berry Farm - 50 minutes Disneyland - 55 minutes -
I didn't think the park was that busy yesterday. The Goliath queue was only 35 min and it was back almost to the entrance with no switchbacks being used. My main concern is it seemed like the park was trying to conserve energy anywhere they could that wasn't Christmas lights. Literally no lights were on on Samurai Summit, and it was impossible to see, let alone that things felt a bit creepy. It was also dark going down the hill toward Apocalypse and over by Jet Stream. I don't think creepy vibes are what they want for a Holiday event. Also, they turned off the lights in many of the ride stations, such as at X2 and Apocalypse, Ninja, Jet Stream, and Gold Rusher. It was quite strange.

Cargo Shorts. Your thoughts?
SFMMGeek27 replied to ElectricUncleSam's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I seriously don't understand. I wear Cargo shorts literally everyday no matter where I go. How are they not fashionable? They're so comfortable and fit great and can hold everything and don't look tacky at all! -
Cargo Shorts. Your thoughts?

Why doesn't anyone in SoCal understand this!?!? -
So in other words: it's bad. I guess it all depends how well you know the highway system. I've always been able to commute from LA to the IE, OC, and SD with relative ease. There are always alternate routes. The 210, 60, 22, 57, 15, 105, 78, 71 etc have been my go to routes to navigate around So Cal. To each his own I guess. The fact that you have to use alternate routes in the first place implies that traffic must be terrible enough to encourage you to do so. Therefore, the traffic is bad.

CP's is great. With all the Twitter giveaways and personal responses, they really know how to cater to their guests in an intimate fashion. Compare that to SFMM which maybe logs into their social media accounts once a month. -

TC didn't have those either on any of its track when it was being assembled. It did about a week into operation though! -
TOP 5 B&M INVERTED COASTERS
SFMMGeek27 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really don't like inverts..they don't really do anything for me. Probably one of my least favorite coaster types. But I've been on a few of them, and outside of Silver Bullet, I wasn't impressed. so here's my list. 1) Silver Bullet 2) Great Bear 3) Batman: The Ride 4) Raptor
