To be fair to the park, I am sure it is buried in the fine print that some benefits are subject to change. If enough of us complain, they will keep it. Also, they need to have a way to upgrade (aka apply the price of the pass) from the Gold Pass to a membership in the middle of the year if they're going to take this benefit away.

I guess the park expects people to miss that because they'll be blown away by the fresh paint in the DC Plaza area... But seriously, how does any member of management from supervisor all the way up to GM walk by that and not immediately take action?? They don’t walk by it, that’s the issue. I’ve never even seen a custodial employee out in the parking lot. It would take a solid crew of 5 or 6 at any given time to keep the area clean with the high volumes of trash the parking lot sees. They should really invest in it.

It's been a while, but to their credit, I wouldn't really want them on in the winter months anyway. If it were like USH, where they turn off the water effects in the winter season, I'd be fine with that. They have been off the entire 3 years I have had a membership. No matter the season. You are so negative. They were on this past summer, and they always turn them off when it’s not summer. If you want water, go on Jet Stream which is still open.

I know it's Six Flags and all, but it's really pathetic that this wasn't open by Memorial Day. They've had since the announcement in September to work on it and it's not like they have weather delays in LA. Plus it's not a prototype either, so it just baffles me that it's taken so long to build. Crazy to think that Twisted Colossus opened on time but a JL clone is so behind schedule. I was thinking the same thing. When I went the whole area was discussing and looked like atleast July. They were having issues with getting permits issued from the city. This delayed ground breaking and progress on the ride building and ride itself by several months. I know a few ride ops and leads in entertainment that have told me that it's looking like the ride won't be up and running with guests until August.

Will you have a car? That will honestly be your cheapest and best bet. If not, you can take Metrolink or Amtrak from the Anaheim station (by the stadium) up to LA Union Station. From there, you have 2 options. You can either Uber from there (still probably expensive) or you can transfer to the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line and take that to the Santa Clarita station. From there you can either Uber (pretty cheap) or take Santa Clarita Transit to the park. Operating hours for public transit are very limited, especially on weekends, so you may want to check that out ahead of time as well. But really your easiest option would be to have a car, get up early and drive I-5 north straight to magic mountain parkway. Without traffic, you can do it in 55 minutes or less.

Why is everyone calling it a loophole? It was designed for the two parks to be separate on purpose. And if you asked Disney, they would tell you it was allowed up until last week. I thought that being able to get the fastpass on your phone, one for each park would've been the primary advantage of having Maxpass. But now that that feature has gone away, what's even the advantage of having Maxpass? Not having to walk 3 minutes to get a fastpass somewhere? I really don't understand.
