Why all the screaming, Robb?
SFMMGeek27 replied to douggw's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, and seriously, were you not expecting Robb to defend himself? Just because one person complains doesn't mean he's gonna change things. If it was a common complaint from many, MANY, people, then MAYBE it would be considered. Just watch what you say. I'm not even sure if you should've created a thread for this. You could've just emailed Robb with your complaint. You didn't have to spread it out to the universe. -
I've found, after riding 50+ times, that it will flip the most when it isn't very unbalanced. It is best when it is slightly unbalanced but not totally. Balanced rides warrant 1 flip and unbalanced rides warrant 0-1. But if you get it just right it will be insane, escpecially in the second half of the ride. It's just gotta be just right.

No cell service in there for whatever reason. At least with Verizon. And the CM was unsure. The person standing next to me in the sR line said she asked the CM about a SR line and he didn't know that it existed and blamed it on the fact that " we just opened back up a week and a half ago and are really busy right now" which they weren't. Plus all the employees rotate rides, so it may have been his first night on the ride. Whatever it was, it had upset all the guests around me. Also, the lady I was standing next to told me that her husband had just done the SR in 20 minutes from enter to exit with a 75 minute posted wait time. Also, they never collected our SR passes before the steps so we went through the regular line and were all seated together. Although, I must say it works great for Matterhorn! I'm so glad they put it there.

I actually don't have a pass for your information. That was the first time I've been to DL in the last 2 years and I won't be back again for at least another year. That's why I was angry. It was indeed 60 minutes from when I got into the line to when I got out the exit, no exaggeration. I was also angered because the rest of my party had to wait all this time. I also had a Fastpass that I could've used but opted for SR instead because I thought it would be faster. (The Fastpass line ended down near Pirates entrance). I'm not a fanboy, I'm just angry and so were all the guests around me. I still think DL is an awesome place, and when I got on RSR in 10 minutes with a Fastpass earlier in the day, I was quite frustrated. And management was obviously frustrated with him.he didn't know what to do. If it was SFMM, I wouldn't care, but since I had used the SR line on Indy a couple years back and got on in 5 minutes each time, I knew something was wrong.

I would excuse that at SFMM, for reasons we all know. But at DL, they should've had better training. He looked like he was 16 and was new. But that's no excuse for not knowing what he was doing. It was great that management corrected him. However, I told my group before I went in that I was going to be out in 15 minutes (which is how long they said they wait would be out front). So due to his lack of knowledge, my wait was 4 times longer and my group outside was very angry with me when I came out an hour later. Wasn't the best experience.

Best Dark Roller Coaster?
SFMMGeek27 replied to drewelap's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would say Space Mountain at DLR or Rock n' Roller Coaster. Space Mountain at WDW is just a little too rough for me. -
2013- What are you most excited for?
SFMMGeek27 replied to Chroniq's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am totally excited to ride Full Throttle. My life wouldn't be complete without it! After all, YOLO! /sarcasm -
The Indy SR line is an absolute mess, or at least it was last night. It took 50 minutes to get on. Stand-by was 65 minutes. I first went up the exit and got in line. The line was probably 25-30 deep even before crossing the regular queue. Every 5-8 minutes, 3-5 people would go through. The CM working at this location didn't know how many people to send across at a time and was not aware of the existence of a SR line until someone near the front of the line told him. Finally a supervisor noticed the backup of the line and had the CM rotate. Then I got across the regular queue and was met with another full line on the other side. And guess who was in control of how many people advanced into the video room... Yep, the same CM who didn't know what the SR line was before. Each time the video room would empty, he would let 1 wheelchair and 2 single riders in and then fill the rest with regular guests. Then the supervisor saw that he was doing this incorrectly and told him that he should take 5 single riders and 2 wheelchairs each time. This made the line go much faster. Once in the video room it was smooth sailing. They never collected our SR line passes so we (the other single riders I made friends with in the line and I) just continued through the regular line and all got on together. In the end, the ignorance of a CM made for a very long wait when it wasn't needed. Very disappointing.

I was at the park on Saturday from opening to closing and all I can say is it was the busiest day I have ever seen at the park. First we went to Goliath since we were near the back of the group to get in the park. Waited 15 minutes not bad. Then we went to Lex and waited 35 minutes. Not terrible. Went to Riddler (1train operation, out the station) and said no. Went to Tatsu next (2 hr 45 minute wait). The line was almost to the Apocalypse plaza. Roaring Rapids had a 15 minute wait which was fine. Next we went to Batman and waited 35 minutes from the entrance through all the switchbacks. Then checked on X2, 2 1/2 hours, line ended by Panda Express. Viper was down under the X2 bridge. Went to Colossus backwards. Waited 90 minutes. The line was through the switchbacks on both sides of the station and up by Ben and Jerry's. Then we walked through some scare zones and waited for Willoughby's. 90 min. Pretty good. Then went to Black Widow, which had no wait. Pretty good for not having a line I must say. Then went to X2 and waited 105 minutes from the entrance and rode at 12:30 AM. Lines I saw throughout the day were: Up to Colossus entrance for Scream, Over by Fort Le John for Goliath, Down by Ben and Jerry's for Lex, to the entrance for 1 train with Riddler.in the Slaughterhouse queue for Lantern. Those waits were accurate. Nothing good was under 2 hours basically. It was bad. Terribly bad.

Was Scream running one train? It had been for the past few weekends. I wonder if all the rides will have two trains for Fright Fest, their busiest time of year. They should. I mean, seriously. They have NO EXCUSE to run one on Goliath. They were running 3 on Saturday. No way that 2 went into maintenance. Glad that X2 was still running two. That's the worst nightmare ever.
