  1. ^I wonder if there was any particular reason why it was closed... It could've been the wind, as it is a but breezy. But it's not that strong.
  2. Anyone at the park today? If so, is X2 open? I want To know so I can plan accordingly for my trip tomorrow. Also, how's the YOLO progress? I know Superman is closed, but what about Gold Rusher?
  3. Anyone know why Lex Luthor was stuck at the top when I drove by at 7:40 this morning? When I passed by again at 11:30, it was gone.
  4. Heading down to the Mountain today for an update on FT construction. Hopefully the crowds won't be insane like they were last week. Also, what are everyone's opinions on Six Flags TV, the queue monitor music video ad network?
  5. ^Don't let all the complaints turn you away from going to the park. We're just highly critical here. It's a good park with it's flaws. If you like coasters and don't care about theming, cleanliness, or anything else, you will like the place. The rides are decent-good. Everything else, not so much. I see wind in the forecast for tomorrow. I wonder if 25 mph wind will be enough to close down X2. I hope not...
  6. Revolution. I think Viper is one of the least rough rides in the park actually. I haven't figured out why everyone thinks it is so painful. I haven't hit my head once on that thing! Revolution and X2 are at different story, though.
  7. It shouldn't be bad. If you time it right you could be on everything and out by 4PM. If you're in the right place at the right time (basically just don't follow the GP path or be the first one on it) then the logest wait you'll have is 45 min, even on a Saturday.
  8. Why is Presidents Day weekend so much busier than MLK Day weekend? I am really curious why, since ey are essentially the same type of weekend.
  9. Park was very busy today. More footers and hill clearing and track for YOLO, nothing really picture worthy. The first and second lots were completely full and the third lot was about half full, right in front of Scream. Green Lantern was down until about noon, them opened up and had an hour wait for the rest of the day. Superman ran 1 side all day with an hour wait because there wasn't enough staff. Scream, Riddler, Gold Rusher, and Apocalypse ran one train, causing some very long waits, especially for Apocalypse. Its line was almost to the entrance, about a 90 minute wait. Tatsu was 60-90 minutes all day, thanks to a terrible ride crew, and X2 was a 45-60 minute wait all day, but they had a great crew. Pretty crazy day for a Sunday in February but a very good day as well. They didn't didnt have the park very well staffed for the day.
  10. The new Newsletter just came in! 11. Floorless: Either Acream (SFMM) or Superman: Krypton Coaster (SFFT). I forgot. Inverted: Batman: TR SFMM Flyer: Tatsu Stand-Up: Riddler's Revenge
  12. I'll be there Sunday and I'll snap some pics. Superman has been closed the last 3 weekends when I was there (Saturday 2/9, Superbowl Sunday, and Saturday 1/26) due to weather. Lex Luthor has been open every day I was there.
  13. ^Yes. They took off the black train that they have been using recently and the black train that they haven't used since last August is still sitting on the transfer. In addition, there is a new black train sitting on a different location on the transfer.
  14. So far: Six Flags Magic Mountain probably like 8 times.
  15. Superman was closed due to "weather related issues" yesterday. Everything else was open, including the Orient Express (which was closed the last few weekends). Not much progress on FT, just more footers being poured. Looks mostly the same as last week, nothing picture worthy. There was also a new wall over past the LJ building across the midway from the Bugs Bunny Tree. It was decently busy yesterday, mainly due to one train operation and late openings of rides. X2 didn't open until noon, so that made the like 30+ min. All day. Apocalypse was 45 all day because of one train operation, and boy did that line move SLOW! Riddler was probably about that wait too. Colossus, Scream, and Gold Rusher were also on the list for one train operation (even though Scream had TWO more trains sitting on the transfer). I saw something interesting at colossus. It looks like they put a new train on the transfer track. It is black and looks like the previous trains except it doesn't have the Colossus logo on it. There was also one car without its outside chassis and just had the metal and the lap bars. In addition, there was another car (single car, just 2 rows) sitting on the right track (the one that hasn't been used for about a year. I wonder if they are trying to switch tracks or if they are trying something out.
  16. Green Lantern doesn't have station music! That's really strange....
  17. I'm gonna head over to the mountain today for an all day trip since I can enjoy longer hours again! Can't wait to stay Til 8PM and get two whole hours in the dark.
  18. I personally think it's okay if the coasters only have two trains and one is out for extended maintenance (like on Apocalypse) but what I do not think is okay is when they are only running a single train and there are 1-2 perfectly fine trains sitting on the transfer (Scream comes to mind, so does Colossus). It's really really REALLY annoying. Has anyone else noticed how X2 train #2 has been sitting on the transfer looking exactly the same for over a year now? It's strange.
  19. ^The park itself was actually rather busy on Sunday as well. As busy as I've seen it since the week of New Years. Apocalypse and Riddler are the only rides that have an excuse to run 1 train. Everything else that is is just running one due to laziness. Apocalypse and Riddler will get their second trains back around Spring Break.
  20. I'm gonna be there Monday, April 22nd. I'm hoping for a phenomenal day that day.
  21. It will be open from 10:30-9 so you will have plenty of time. You just have to hustle. Try to get there early and be one of the first few in. Then haul it to X2 (if it doesn't open in 15 minutes, forget about it and come back later). Then go to Tatsu, Superman, etc.
  22. Look what I found in Studio 6F at the park today: "Swag" was also there as well.
  23. ^What do you mean? Today we had the first measurable rain since like early November. It's been really really dry. In other news, I'm going to get out to the park this Saturday for an update. How crowded (like in terms of lots)do you think Saturday will be. I never go Saturdays because all the Saturdays I've been it's always been Insanely busy.
  24. Row matters and train matters. Every spindle for every row on that ride is different. I've noticed that the stair side is a little smoother though and in train number 3. The ramp side seems to have a bit more whiplash on the seat rotations. They aren't near as smooth. It also depends on the wheels for your particular car too. A couple weeks ago it felt like they replaced the wheels or something. It was the smoothest ride I've ever had on X2. Front row inside seat train 3.
