^Don't let all the complaints turn you away from going to the park. We're just highly critical here. It's a good park with it's flaws. If you like coasters and don't care about theming, cleanliness, or anything else, you will like the place. The rides are decent-good. Everything else, not so much. I see wind in the forecast for tomorrow. I wonder if 25 mph wind will be enough to close down X2. I hope not...

Park was very busy today. More footers and hill clearing and track for YOLO, nothing really picture worthy. The first and second lots were completely full and the third lot was about half full, right in front of Scream. Green Lantern was down until about noon, them opened up and had an hour wait for the rest of the day. Superman ran 1 side all day with an hour wait because there wasn't enough staff. Scream, Riddler, Gold Rusher, and Apocalypse ran one train, causing some very long waits, especially for Apocalypse. Its line was almost to the entrance, about a 90 minute wait. Tatsu was 60-90 minutes all day, thanks to a terrible ride crew, and X2 was a 45-60 minute wait all day, but they had a great crew. Pretty crazy day for a Sunday in February but a very good day as well. They didn't didnt have the park very well staffed for the day.

List the Parks You Have Visited in 2013

So far: Six Flags Magic Mountain probably like 8 times. -
Superman was closed due to "weather related issues" yesterday. Everything else was open, including the Orient Express (which was closed the last few weekends). Not much progress on FT, just more footers being poured. Looks mostly the same as last week, nothing picture worthy. There was also a new wall over past the LJ building across the midway from the Bugs Bunny Tree. It was decently busy yesterday, mainly due to one train operation and late openings of rides. X2 didn't open until noon, so that made the like 30+ min. All day. Apocalypse was 45 all day because of one train operation, and boy did that line move SLOW! Riddler was probably about that wait too. Colossus, Scream, and Gold Rusher were also on the list for one train operation (even though Scream had TWO more trains sitting on the transfer). I saw something interesting at colossus. It looks like they put a new train on the transfer track. It is black and looks like the previous trains except it doesn't have the Colossus logo on it. There was also one car without its outside chassis and just had the metal and the lap bars. In addition, there was another car (single car, just 2 rows) sitting on the right track (the one that hasn't been used for about a year. I wonder if they are trying to switch tracks or if they are trying something out.

I personally think it's okay if the coasters only have two trains and one is out for extended maintenance (like on Apocalypse) but what I do not think is okay is when they are only running a single train and there are 1-2 perfectly fine trains sitting on the transfer (Scream comes to mind, so does Colossus). It's really really REALLY annoying. Has anyone else noticed how X2 train #2 has been sitting on the transfer looking exactly the same for over a year now? It's strange.

^The park itself was actually rather busy on Sunday as well. As busy as I've seen it since the week of New Years. Apocalypse and Riddler are the only rides that have an excuse to run 1 train. Everything else that is is just running one due to laziness. Apocalypse and Riddler will get their second trains back around Spring Break.

^What do you mean? Today we had the first measurable rain since like early November. It's been really really dry. In other news, I'm going to get out to the park this Saturday for an update. How crowded (like in terms of lots)do you think Saturday will be. I never go Saturdays because all the Saturdays I've been it's always been Insanely busy.

Row matters and train matters. Every spindle for every row on that ride is different. I've noticed that the stair side is a little smoother though and in train number 3. The ramp side seems to have a bit more whiplash on the seat rotations. They aren't near as smooth. It also depends on the wheels for your particular car too. A couple weeks ago it felt like they replaced the wheels or something. It was the smoothest ride I've ever had on X2. Front row inside seat train 3.
