At the park now. Wow the weather is CRAZY! But there is almost no one at the park. When it's been operating, Lightning Rod has been sending empty seats and I rode Wild Eagle with just two others on the train! What a great day!

Truer words have never been spoken. SFMM groupers don't understand this. Doing this would probably over complicate their brains. These aren't Disneyland operators.

Every ride there does better than 300/hr with 2 trains running. Does anybody have capacity estimates for the coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain? I'm just curious.

OK and what is the grace period for redeeming (how long do I have to redeem the reservation until it expires) There's no expiration.

Any chance of a late opening? The weather looks to be perfectly fine now and is looking to be fine for the rest of the day.

From my understanding, they decided to repaint it because they already had the crane in place, reducing costs.

According to my friend who is a supervisor in ride operations at SFMM, Tatsu is getting a repaint and will be down for awhile. A crane is already in place behind Viper right now for Tatsu maintenance and then for the paint jobs of both Riddler and Tatsu.

Where did you hear that Tatsu is getting repainted? A lead at TC said it was closed for chain work and repaint. He seemed pretty sure about it too.

YOLO and TNR opened today. Superman was down due to rain. I am hearing Tatsu is getting a repaint too.

I believe Superman you can only ride once per day as well. And it could be only with platinum.

I recommend the second half of April through the first half of May on weekdays. Any weekday the Park's hours are 10:30-6 is a great day.

It's on the entertainment schedule for next week, so I'd imagine it's the original show next week.

Quick question: A friend of mine bought a SoCal AP online a couple weeks ago, but hasnt activated it at the park yet. He wants to activate it and visit the park tomorrow, which is blocked for SoCal APs. Will he be able to get a block out exception pass since he bought it online? Because I usually know if you purchase the pass at the park you can get in the first day without being blocked out.

I'm afraid I've got some bad news. Superman's entire plaza was closed off yesterday. I imagine they're doing maintenance on it at the same time as Drop of Doom. It's likely it'll be closed again tomorrow. It was down yesterday because of rain on Saturday. If it doesn't rain it should be open tomorrow. Oh, alright. I wonder why they needed a full day to get it back up, unless the wind was just too violent for it. It takes a long time for the tracks to dry, so if we get a good downpour it usually closes for a day to dry off.

I thought the highest attended day this year was that free friend day at the end of February. I was there that day, and all the cars trying to go to the park caused a mile backup on both directions of I5. Parking capacity was reached by 2pm or so and everyone else was turned away. It was absolute insanity. Everything (including Gold Rusher) had lines out the entrance and food lines were at least an hour long in most places too.

It's a very large number. They reach parking capacity before the park reaches capacity, and the police department tends to just close off the entrance to the park when parking capacity is reached.

So who else is excited about riding the RMC'd Mean Streak next year!?

The cars and catch cars are all off the track. So most of the work is probably happening in the cycle shop.

Monday is the federal holiday for New Years. After that, most people are back to work and school...no point in waiting any longer. I think they should've had it go until the 8th... a lot of schools (including mine) are out until then. Plus they're closing it right before the APs can ride again.

Great news! They are removing VR from TNR temporarily starting January 2nd! So I'd recommend heading up soon for some faster dispatches.

I'm not sure, but as of Sunday, the cars weren't even on the track. Only the catch car was there.

I can't believe you guys are falling for CP's trickery!! This was obviously supposed to throw us off of the 2017 opening date. Or maybe it will be a 2017 Platinum Passholder preview only for the whole year and not open to the public until 2018. I will be riding this is 2017, whether it is open or not.
